Word of the day: Callipygian
callipygian(kal-uh-pij-ee-uhn)adjective. Having well-shaped buttocks.

Origin: 1640–50, Greek kallipęgos, with beautiful buttocks; referring to a statue of Aphrodite.

-stolen from CBS.com

I'll assume the rap scholars used this word to derive its latest incarnation: bootylicious. But hey, here's a new word for people to toss around when they want to talk about somebody's butt without being obvious about it, I guess. Careful if you aim it towards an english major, though.

Man, this post really needs to be defenestrated.

Un....believable.
Hey, thanks for reading my shitty rant, guys. You're all cool.

I like the idea that I was speaking about my muse or something, I think RoboArtemis hit close to that by saying it was Sally-worthy, haha. Or at least perhaps in the idea that I was bitching about my comic, I could put it IN my comic.

And YES, it has been resolved! Already! Un...believable. Apparently truth is stranger than fiction, and I suppose the brain is the most fictitious place of all. Somehow, I think that means the truth will always end up being stranger than your ideas...until your ideas become their very own twisted version of the truth, and thus a new truth, more amazing and...and...wrong...than anything of the real world...until somebody else sees your remodeled truth and takes it, twists it, and a new truth soon materializes, WORSE than before!

An endless cycle of ideas, each stranger than the last by being exposed to new minds and becoming new truths. My, oh, my.

So love your fucked-up muse, and love your fucked-up brain! And then spew ideas!

I know I'm in love...with metaphors!

The oldest story in the world
So there's this girl...I either love her or I want to kill her, I have not yet decided. It's a dirge, so pretend you're singing something by Danny Elfman while you read it. Preferrably with a very deep baritone, or bass.

Myui's Dirge about a girl:

She is aggrevating as hell,
"fucked up" is another word for
it, yet she's one-of-a-kind, too.
Would I do anything for her?
Yes, We feel the same way, but
she doesn't know that's what she wants.

I said I wanted to get her
anything at all she asked for.

And the only thing she asked for...

was nothing. And I wonder how,

I can give her nothing at all.

FUCK.
So I just got back from my early morning run to the liberal arts building to make an appointment for scheduling classes next semester...and perhaps some of you can relate to this crap.

A liberal arts major literally needs to battle with hundreds of other students to get into certain classes. This is often compounded by the fact that there are plenty of people taking liberal arts classes just for the hell of it, for no reason (such as the people in my writing classes who hate writing, engineers and tech people who somehow got into classes required for my major when I'm pretty sure I had to weasel my way in, etc.) or who seem to be "majoring" in about three different areas and can therefore take any class they want, somehow.

This makes it hard enough to take the classes you need to graduate, but my problems seem to be even worse this upcoming semester.

Everyone in college has an advisor they go to for scheduling. That is to say, you figure out your schedule, tell them it, and hope to god they don't fuck it up. This job does not require much effort, although by the way they act, you would think counselors feel they are busy ALL THE FUCKING TIME since they rarely wish to do anything outside of the two times they work during a year. (High schoolers can also relate, I am sure.)

My counselor has always been slightly annoying since she always had a lot of upperclassmen to schedule. This means, no matter how early I get myself there on the day to start making appointments for my year, I still end up scheduling after a bunch of random shitty seniors and even people who are my same year, but have a counselor who isn't so backed up.

BUT this year, I get there early as usual, and I am told she only has stuff open after the first week and a half for juniors has already begun. I am slightly puzzled, even with all the seniors she has to schedule, they should all fit in a week and a half, putting me only at a slight disadvantage to my peers in the end. But here I need to wait an additional week to even begin scheduling. By that time, juniors are almost done and sophomores can start scheduling! I bust my ass to get there early and people will be coming in at the end of today and getting better spots than me because they have different counselors.

"Lordy," I remark to the receptionist, "she's got that many people already?"
"Well actually she's going to be out of town for a week, so it's gotten a little backed up."

...

YOU LEAVE TOWN DURING THE ONE TIME YOUR FUCKING STUDENTS NEED YOU? ROT IN HELL, YOU FUCKING BITCH.

   Revues

This is Simca. She is cool.

Well, after pimping the awesomeness of Haruhi and Higurashi...

(Recap- The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is one of the greatest animes of all time, hope hope HOPE for a quality dub, and Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni is a beautiful yet creepy-as-all-get-out murder mystery where you get to see your characters kill, get killed, and just generally suffer in the most horrifying ways. Fun for all ages (even the little girls get dismembered :3 )

I have decided to speak on some of the other anime I am loving, currently. First up is Air Gear, by the creator of Tenjou Tenge, Oh! Great.

Review:
Air Gear- Jet Grind Radio with less personality. Well, to be fair you couldn't capture the awesomeness of JGR very well anyway, and they try. Kids roll around on Air Treks, motorized roller blades that let them race, do tricks, etc.
The manga was by Oh! Great but it seems the characters got even LESS love than in Tenjou Tenge. The guys, anyway.
Simca = love. Ringo's cool too, especially as her seeeeecret alter-ego, but Simca has "THE HAT" which is awesome. Hat = love.

Where was I...um, a lot of fighting and racing and such as Ikki, the main character, races to the top. Kind of a lot of pervy humor, and some real time-wasting storywise, but the manga fills you in a bit better. The guys just tend to be so generic compared to some awesome girl characters...again like tenjou tenge, heh, but
as it goes along I think the people start to get defined a bit.

Okay art, good female character designs, lots of pervy humor (and crows covering...naught bits...) but the actual fighting during the A.T Battles are cool. The music is also great. We're not talking on a level like FLCL, here, (although they should try that again sometime, this woulda been a great opportunity) but enough to make you feel like you're watching Jet Grind Radio the anime.

Verdict: Watch it, it's good. Do not be angry that it takes awhile to get going.
