Ikimashou!

I'M BACK!
Yes, I know. I've been quite inactive lately. I feel very saddened by this myself. I've missed out on quite a bit of theO news, not to mention myO friends' news.
But never fear! For I am now on break! I shall do my best to become active again. *bows*

Man, I feel like I have tons of things to say, yet so little time to say 'em. Let's start with school business first.

One of the most horrific things that has ever happened in my life occurred last Monday. At the time, I was working on both an oral presentation and my final portfolio for English. Let the record show that said portfolio was worth 50% of my grade. For some idiotic reason, my brain had recorded the due date for the portfolio as Wednesday, December 5th. Instead of working on finishing up the second out of two papers I needed for it, I worked on the presentation.

Lo and behold! As I went into class Monday, freakin' nervous over giving my first oral presentation ever (yeah, go homeschool!), my teacher said, "Okay! Everyone got their portfolios ready?" Such a thing seemed impossible. I stared at him, thought he was joking. But no, it was due THAT DAY!

I couldn't help it. I started crying. I had to leave the classroom (which luckily hadn't started yet) and did what any distraught child would do: called Mother. Instead of receiving sympathy, she simply told me to get my butt into gear and half-ass a portfolio by the end of the day (although she didn't say it in those exact words).

After leaving the bathroom into which I had fled, I encountered my teacher. I don't know if it should be chalked up to me having been a good student or to the fact that the weather had been terrible that day and so had kept many a classmate from coming, but he said I could take til Wednesday to submit my portfolio.
Oh goodness gracious! God must have been watching over me that day! Still, I was quite rattled after that, which made it harder to be coherent in my presentation, which I seemed to ramble about a bit too much. Either way, I was able to successfuly submit my final portfolio (one paper on anime, one reflective, and one synthesis concerning women's social status) on Wednesday. Turns out I did pretty well on the presentation too, as I got a 91/100.

Now comes the wait to see what my final grade will be. Gosh, I'm just glad he gave me that second chance. That was one of the worst feelings I've ever experienced, that feeling of utter FAILURE, all over a mixing up of the dates.

And that, ladies, gents and furries, was my college-horror story this quarter. Wonder if next quarter's will top it.
Not really any other interesting school news. I'm quite confident I aced Japanese and Math 095, so there's not really much to talk about there.

It's time to move on to trivial matters then! *w00ts to that*
In .hack news, a new .hack manga was announced by CyberConnect2 some time ago: ".hack//LINK." Considering it's going to be a manga directly from CC2 (which typically only deals in video games) makes it a big deal. Linkage: http://www.cc2.co.jp/hack_link/hack_link.html
And, to update ".hack//G.U. Trilogy" news, the release date has been pushed back to March 25th due to the fact that the movie will now be premiering in theaters in Japan. Darn Japanese, they get all the fun stuff. Also worthy of note, the movie poster seems to be by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. Quite nice, I must say. Linkage: http://www.cc2.co.jp/trilogy/news/news.html
Specific .hack news in my case: I've apparently spent $230 on .hack doujinshi alone. Wow. I couldn't help it, the anthologies were just too cool! Plus, got ".hack//Roots DVD 5" awhile ago, have yet to watch it. Also considering whether to preorder the ".hack//G.U. Trilogy" DVD or not. I don't know if any device in my home would allow me to play it, what with all the region protections. To use my new favorite catchphrase, "We shall see."

Other random news: I started playing "Final Fantasy IX" again. I got to about halfway through Disc 3 last time when I stopped. I really like the game, so I decided to replay it. Such actions drove me to purchase the FFIX OST, OST+, and Piano collections CDs on iTunes. I swear, I'm going to be so bad at handling money when I get older.

To keep in the thread of video game news, I just found the delight that is "Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!" I've been in love with "Elite Beat Agents" forever now, and finally decided to check out what "Ouendan" looked like on YouTube.
As soon as I saw the stage with "Shounen Heart," I was sold. I'm asking for both "Ouendan" games for Christmas (with HUGE hints, no less). Now all that's left to do is obsess over it and cross my fingers while doing so.

Phew...
For now, that seems to be all the news comin' my way. I will be going down to Oregon next Friday to pick up my sister (as that's when she's finally on break), so that's exciting. Until then, I shall attempt to catch up on theOtaku news. Ta!

God Bless
