   Of Photographers and Water Parks
Thanks for forwarding kelly's email, she sounds happy. I am glad you are having a great time camping. WAHHH!!!! I am sorry i havent writen in so long (though it has only been 4 days) and i am now here to tell every one of the recent events. Hieu has passed his interveiw, and i am thanking god profusely. That means he will be back with us for another year, YEAH!! On sunday i went to the final flower class with trum, and i got a certificate, wich of course is in veitnamese so i have no clue what it says. Then i went home and hieu bullied me into playing samuri warriors instead of making flowers. After a while i got fustrated and wanted to stop (wich hieu got mad at me for). He stil is and is being a jerk. Back to the events on sunday, i then went out for shopping, dinner, and icecream with tram and a freind lahn. On monday chi quyen and i went over to chi li's house where chi quyen would do some sowing. After sitting around for a bit, and finding out hieu had passed, i went exploring. I had never been upstairs there before, and i managed to find a wonderful little balcony, with a really comfortable hammock. So i spent the morning dozing up there. After lunch i went to the amusment park/water park again, but this time with tram and thui (trams freind from america) we had a delightful time, and when i came time to go swimming (hieu had not wanted to talk to me so i had no clue that i needed swim wear) i was lent a pair of short shorts and a blue tank top. I didnt want to get my underwear wet sot of coursi left my strechable with my clothes. I found out in the wave pool that the shirt turned see through when wet. GAHH. Tram quickly lent me he shirt, and found out that HER swimsuit didnt have adequet lining, so thui and i quickly scuried of to the changing rooms where i donned trams shirt and rushed back to give tram the shirt i had been wearing. So in the end it all worked out. Afterwards, we all went baqck to thui's family's house where we all dried our hair and went of to go and get our pictures taken. This was the place where chi quyen and ahn quoc had their wedding pictures takken, and outside the door there was a large picture of chi quyen. It is not all that supprising, seeing as is chi quyen is gorgeous. Apperently for pictures you need full make up so we were decended on by three makeup ladies. First they slather your face with skin colored stuff. This takes awhile, the reason wich i dont know. Then they gave mme eyebrows. When i first saw myself with eybrows, i said i looked really scary, because usually i have only light eyebrows. After the new addition to my face they proceeded to put on eyeshadow. Green eyshadow. I had to be reasured multiple times that it was fine and i didn't look hideous. I still wasnt to sure of it asthey started to prepare the torture devices known as fake eyelashes. The reason behind that last comment was that when they put on the first eyelash, apperently the woman didnt do it correctly, so i felt like i had an inch long needle inserted into my tear duct. As my eye started to water, i assured the woman i was fine, and when she turned around proceeded to start clawing at my eye in an attempt to alieviate the excruciating pain. Finally it beame to much, and so the torture device was removed from my face, and a new one was properly aplied. I think that looking at people who have those things on up close is realy scary. They just look weird. Finally lipstick was painted on, and we hen were ushered upstairs to pick out outfits for the pictures. MY first outfit was a black skirt and shirt, and i was takken out and subjected to the photographer, who had a grand time posing and preening and american. Howevery when they tried to put me in heels for a full body shot, he started laughing and i was told to take them of or else i would be too tall to take a picture of. My second outfit was and aodai the traditional veitnamese dress. I got stuck in two that were way to small, and finally on was fond that i could sort of fit in. The sort of comes from the fact that every thing fit fine until my chest. then it could not be zipped up any more. Also the aodai was sparkly and PINK, wich we all know is my FAVORITE combination (NOT). Oh well it was cool. For the pictures of all of us toghether, we all wore fancy wedding/prom dresses. Those were fun, but in the picture poor tram didnt just have to wear platform heels. She also had to stand on a pile of magazines to her everlasting emberasment. When we finally got done it was almost ten at night, and so we rushed of to hieus house to drop me off. Hoa greeted us and clucked over my makeup, wich see said was beatiful. Hieu thought otherwise, andx laughed at my and told me just how ugly i was. He seems to find every thing about me ugly lately, so much that i am afaird to show him anything. Chi quyen helped me remove the torture devices and the goo all over my face, and then i stumbled of to bed. Yesterday i made flowers and watched movies with hoa in the morning and then after my nap got dressed to go out for dinner wich i think was a celebration of hieu passing his visa inter veiw, at the best restraunt in the city. As everyone remembers the place with the KILLER CHILE ENCRUSTED CRAB. Luckily for me all the food was great and i had a fun time because tram was there to chatter away with. It aperently is a tradition to feed people, and of course the guys sitting across from us took it upon themselves to make sure we were well fed. After a lenghty dinner party with 18 guests and plenty of beer for the men, we went to pick up the pictures, and then went to kareoke. Tram, chi qyuen, and i watched ahn quoc and his cousin steadily get more and more 'buzzed' in ahn quocs words. They were pretty funy to watch and thier antics were amusing. Just that their singing steadily got worse and worse. Oh well it was fun, and i had a good time. write soon.
