Konnichiwa!

Current Mood: Happy
Current Song: Disabled Complexes by Dir en grey

I was reading up on one of my favorite Kyo fansites, and I saw their newest posts asking everyone to buy DIRU's new CD, and to not just illegally download it.

I agree with this. Look, I don't care if you downloaded "THE MARROW OF A BONE" illegally whenever it got leaked through. That's what happens to huge bands. I have it downloaded on my computer, in fact. But, I do plan on buying their limited edition version of "THE MARROW OF A BONE" and their new t-shirt. Not just because I want them, but also to support them.

Here's how money works-if the demand is great, the supply will go up. And more demand means more money. And more money means more tours and more albums. One of the reasons DIRU got to tour America is because their sales for "Withering to Death" went well. If they don't sell well here, they won't come to America as often, or worse-anymore. And their American merchandise? Say bye-bye.

Look-they've worked really hard on this album. They've worked hard on every single one. They've come half way across the world to thank us. They give us inspiring, incredibly beautiful, and deeply touching music. The least we could give them is a couple of dollars out of our wallets. Liking something isn't enough in this world anymore, we have to pay if we want to see something more.

You don't have to buy the album, but I (and DIRU) would really like it if you did. At least buy something of their merchandise-I don't give a fuck what. But if you do see the album, but don't cough up the dough, remember that DIRU's thinking that you're saying this:

"Eh. I like your album, but not enough to buy it."

I'm not trying to shame you guys or anything, just reminding you. This is their job, and they're not getting paid for it-DIRU needs money too.
