   TANJOUBI OMEDETOU~!!!

Konnichiwa!

Current Mood: Excited, happy
Current Song: Ryoujoku no Ame by Dir en grey

DIRU in Colorado

Hello, everyone~!!! As I'm sure you all know, our beloved Kyo-kun is turning 31 today!!! Be sure to wish him a happy birthday and take the time to appreciate all of things he's done for Japan, for music (not only J-rock), and for his fans.

Happy birthday, sweetheart~! ^o^
...fuck. He's gonna kill me for saying that, isn't he? XD;

BTW, if you're going to the Colorado show today, be sure to try to get the crowd singing "happy birthday" and make sure he feels at home even though he's in America. :3

Ano, I don't think I have anything else to say except that Kaoru's birthday is tommorow, only 4 days until "THE MARROW OF A BONE" comes out in America, and 8 days until Shinya's birthday!!! *SQUEE* Happy Kyo's birthday, everyone~!

   In Regards....

Konnichiwa!

Current Mood: Happy
Current Song: Disabled Complexes by Dir en grey

I was reading up on one of my favorite Kyo fansites, and I saw their newest posts asking everyone to buy DIRU's new CD, and to not just illegally download it.

I agree with this. Look, I don't care if you downloaded "THE MARROW OF A BONE" illegally whenever it got leaked through. That's what happens to huge bands. I have it downloaded on my computer, in fact. But, I do plan on buying their limited edition version of "THE MARROW OF A BONE" and their new t-shirt. Not just because I want them, but also to support them.

Here's how money works-if the demand is great, the supply will go up. And more demand means more money. And more money means more tours and more albums. One of the reasons DIRU got to tour America is because their sales for "Withering to Death" went well. If they don't sell well here, they won't come to America as often, or worse-anymore. And their American merchandise? Say bye-bye.

Look-they've worked really hard on this album. They've worked hard on every single one. They've come half way across the world to thank us. They give us inspiring, incredibly beautiful, and deeply touching music. The least we could give them is a couple of dollars out of our wallets. Liking something isn't enough in this world anymore, we have to pay if we want to see something more.

You don't have to buy the album, but I (and DIRU) would really like it if you did. At least buy something of their merchandise-I don't give a fuck what. But if you do see the album, but don't cough up the dough, remember that DIRU's thinking that you're saying this:

"Eh. I like your album, but not enough to buy it."

I'm not trying to shame you guys or anything, just reminding you. This is their job, and they're not getting paid for it-DIRU needs money too.

   THE MARROW OF A BONE!!!

Konnichiwa!

Current Mood: Excited but frustrated
Current Snog: Ryoujoku no Ame by Dir en grey

DIRU in Massachusetts

As you all know, DIRU's new album, "THE MARROW OF A BONE", came out (in Japan) today! YAY!!! *dances* Here's a link to the section of their site devoted to TMOAB. Enjoy~! Click me! Kyo wants you to!

Along with their new album, they also came out with a PV for their song "GRIEF." Like I was promised in the preview (on my website, PeachesXCream, I promised this), I got a good view of Kyo crotch so that kept me happy for a while. XDDD; They have bodies hanging from the ceiling like in "OBSCURE", so it's nice to see them bring back some of the classics. ^-^ And, the have a little more camera time on Shinya so you can see him beat the shit out of those drums. X3 The shots are mostly on Kyo, the actress in the video, and Kaoru. ;~; Poor neglected Toshiya, Die, and Shinya. *hugs them* Anyhow, it rocks. Go check it out before Shinya beats you to death with his drums sticks and Kyo screams "FUCK YOU" in Kyogrish then wails like a banshee at the top of his lungs. >3

Ano, I guess that's all I have to say for right now. Please enjoy "THE MARROW OF A BONE" and support DIRU in their new stepping stone to infamy!!!

   DIRU Photos!

Konnichiwa!

Current Mood: Bored
Current Song: -karasu- by Dir en grey

Hello~! I bring you pictures of DIRU from their show at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida (February 2nd). Just go to my Photobucket account to see it. ^-^ Not a whole lot of pictures of Kaoru and Toshiya, though... and no pictures of Shinya. ;o; So sad! T~T

I have a request since Kyoko-chan and I aren't able to go to any Inward Scream concerts. ;~; If you have seen a concert, could you please give us a description of what it was like AND if you met the band, tell us about that, too. Please note that any submissions will be posted. Thanks a bunch~!

DIRU put up new profile pictures on their site, but they're really dark. So I went on the DIRU photo community on Livejournal and got these:

The whole group. ^-^

Kyo looks so feeble and small in this picture... doesn't it make you just want to cuddle him? XD

Awwww~! Doesn't Kaoru look so sweet in this pic? :D

Die... he's looking really tired lately. :/ *hands him a pillow*

What chu thinkin' 'bout, Toshiya? Hentai? XD

Shinya, gorgeous as usual. ^3^

So, it looks like Kyo has got a new tattoo. I think he's had it for about a month or so, but unfortunately, I've been a little out of touch since I have been searching for FVT pics lately. :/ Anyhow, it's on the left side of his neck and reads "Damned" in old English script. It's really pretty, but it looks like it was painful. ;~;

I'm sorry about the picture, you can barely see his tattoo. I had a really good picture of it but I stupidly didn't save it. *hits head on desk* ARGGODDAMNMOTHERFUCKERFOOCHASONOFABITCH!!!! *sighs* I feel better now. *wipes blood off of forehead*

BTW, has anyone else noticed that Kaoru's gotten a whole lot of tattoos lately, too. He has a whole fucking sleeve on his left arm. o_o

Meeeeh, that's about all I have to say. Can't wait til "THE MARROW OF A BONE." SQUEE~!!! \^o^/

Please study them closely and give DIRU my best wishes. I wish I could be there to cheer them on so badly. T~T These phrases are kinda polite, but I hope you guys will be nice to them. *eyes suspiciously* I would make a longer post, but I think I'm gonna puke. Probably headbanging "Child Prey" and "rasetsukoku" as hard as I possibly could wasn't a good idea. @_@ Tommorow if I feel better I'll hopefully put up a guide on what to get them (gift wise). Love you all~!
+Momo+

P.S.-I found this picture yesterday-

If you get to talk to Kyo, please tell him that he will make a sick little American girl very happy if he wears these pants more often. XD

Current Song: Agitated Screams of Maggots by Dir en grey

HEEEEY!!! If any of you guys live in Texas, listen up! You can win free tickets to go see DIRU at The Palladium Ballroom in Dallas, but only if you have a MySpace (those damn MySpace whores trickin' us into joinin' -_-)!!! Okay, here are the instructions:

Reply to the contest blog on why you deserve to win.

Then post a bulletin about the show.

To those who enter, I wish you luck!!! I'm not going to enter since I don't live in Texas and I don't want to have to pay for plane tickets and I know my parents won't drive me there. T~T So, anyone who does live in Texas, ENTER THIS DAMN CONTEST!!!

Also, in other DIRU news that I forgot to post earlier, "Agitated Screams of Maggots" came out in America (exclusively at FYE stores) on the 9th (but I'm sure you all knew that). So keep an eye out for it!!! :D

   DIRU NEWS!!!

Konnichiwa!

Current Mood: Excited
Current Song: The Deeper Vileness by Dir en grey (sample)

I HAVE DIR EN GREY NEWS, MY FRIENDS!!! As I'm sure you all know, DIRU is coming out with a new album on February 7 titled "The Marrow of a Bone." But now I, Momo, bring you the track listing, American release date, and more news. Prepare yourselves!!! For the track list of "The Marrow of a Bone":

1. Conceived Sorrow
2. Lie Buried With a Vengeance
3. The Fatal Believer
4. Agitated Screams of Maggots
5. Grief
6. Ryoujoku no Ame
7. Disabled Complexes
8. Rotting Root
9. Namamekashiki Ansoku, Tamerai ni Hohoemi
10. The Pledge
11. Repetition of Hatred
12. The Deeper Vileness
13. Clever Sleazoid

As you can see, all of their releases since "Withering to Death" are on the CD. You can now listen to samples of "The Fatal Believer", "Disabled Complexes", and "The Deep Vileness" on their official website (direngrey.co.jp). The album will be released in America on February 20, so save up your money!!! There's a re-recording of "Clever Sleazoid", so don't expect the same version. There will also be an alternate version of the album, but I'm not sure if it will be available in America (limited edition has different versions of "Namamekashiki Ansoku, Tamerai ni Hohoemi", "Conceived Sorrow", and "The Pledge" on a seperate disk). So far there have been no songwriting credits or track lengths. :(

This is the cover of the main version of "The Marrow of a Bone"...

And this is the alternative/limited edition cover.

Just from the singles they've released and the samples of the new songs, you can tell that they're playing with a different sound (ESPECIALLY with "Disabled Complexes"). If I had to judge how "different" it sounds from their earlier days (in my mind, "earlier" means the "VULGAR" era), I'd say it's a cross between "Ryoujoku no Ame" and "Clever Sleazoid." It still retains some of it's authentic DIRU sound, but it still differs. Either way, I can't wait to hear what they have in store for all of us. :3

BTW, I got this information from Wikipedia, so don't go suing me or anything. XD Mata ne~!!!

   Gomen nasai~!!!

Konnichiwa!

Current Mood: Tired
Current Song: Bottom of death valley

Gomen ne, minna-san!!! It's Momo. ^-^ I'm so sorry that we haven't been able to post lately, Kyoko and I have been pretty busy. I've had exams and Kyoko hasn't had a computer to post a whole lot on!!! So, please forgive us-viewers of our humble site and Kyo. ;~;

Today I'll be reviewing Dir en grey's DVD "Rettou Gekishin Angya Final 2003 5 Ugly Kingdom"-also known as "5 Ugly Kingdom." The performance was performed in Yokohama Arena on January 1st, 2003. The playlist inclues:

1. "G.D.S." (not actually listed)
2. "Mr.Newsman"
3. "Hades"
4. "Umbrella"
5. "Zomboid"
6. "Children"
7. "Bottom of death valley"
8. "24ko Cylinders"
9. "-karasu-"
10. "Ugly"
11. "Gyakujou tannou keloid milk"
12. "-mushi-"
13. "DRAIN AWAY"
14. "-kigan-"
15. "The Domestic Fucker Family"
16. "JESSICA"
17. "Byou Shin"
18. "ain't afraid to die"
19. "FILTH"
20. "Karma"
21. "[KR]cube"
22. "Child Prey"
23. "Rasetsukoku"

Out of the 3 Dir en grey DVDs I have (MACABRE 00-01, GAUZE -62045-, and 5 Ugly Kingdom), this one is my absolutely favorite. As soon as you pop the DVD into the player and the comes comes on, you can feel the anticipation building up. The style is obviously that of DIRU. From the second "G.D.S." roars through your speakers, you feel like you're actually there. The picture quality is absolutely amazing and the sound is so clear that you can hear the fans screaming like they were right beside you. By "Bottom of death valley", my neck was sooooo sore from headbanging and jumping up and down to the music. Each song is filled with incredible emotion by every member, and it divides the screen time up pretty fairly so if your favorite member isn't Kyo, you can see your sweet heart on screen just as much. Also, they have multi-angle shots from "Children", for every member. Some of my favorite performances on the DVD are (not necessarily in that order):

1. "Bottom of death valley"
2. "24ko Cylinders"
3. "-mushi-"
4. "-kigan-"
5. "The Domestic Fucker Family"
6. "JESSICA"
7. "ain't afraid to die"

From all of the Dir en grey performances I've seen, I think that "-mushi-" might be one of the most heart wrenching. Every single time I watch it, I weep so hard that I have a headache afterwards (if I don't already have one from headbanging). The emotion in Kyo's voice is so incredible, that you can feel all of his burdens, pains, and torturing memories. As if he's suddenly slammed all the troubles of the world onto you, you feel crushed and helpless. "-mushi-" is truly a powerful song, but to see it performed is a totally different thing.

Also, this DVD has special features where you can see behind the scenes during different concerts such as "The Master of Monsters" and cuts from parts of others. It's pretty damn cool to see pictures getten taken that you have locked up in your Photobucket account. :D

Hands down, this is the best DIRU DVD I've seen. If you have the chance, please buy this DVD. It's the ultimate addition to any DIRU collection and you won't regret your purchace. You can find it at eBay (my personal favorite) and online stores that carry J-rock merchandise (such as chibitokyo.com). This DVD typically runs for $15-30.

Buy it! It'll make Kyo-sama happy!!! ^3^

Hopefully, I'll be able to get on eBay soon and buy "The Code of Vulgar[ism]", "It Withers and Withers", and perhaps "Despair in the Womb" (when it comes out and if anyone in aKnot will give it up -3-).

Quick question-who is going to the Inward Scream Tour? And if you are, can you please take a picture of you and/or DIRU if photography is allowed? I would deeply appreciate it since I'm not able to go... they're not coming to my state. Sadness. ;~;
