My latest poem
The Phoenix:

Born from the ashes of its former self
It is the symbol of a new beginning.

In truth it is legendary
But as a metaphor it is what we all desire.

Continously consumed by its own flames
just as we devour our hearts with hatred.

It is a symbol of what we hope for
a symbol of everlasting life.

And like its rebirth after death
we too will one day be reborn.
