Probably my best poem yet
Life Mystery:

There are those who do not fail.
There are those who sometimes succeed.
And finally those who try but never win.
I am the third and occasionally the second.
When I try, I try hard but never come through.
I am the one that trails all.
The one seen bringing up the rear.
All efforts seem for naught.
All trials, though completed, never give desired results.
Can it be true that no one's a total failure?
If so, where is my small victory?
Where is my sole chance to shine?
Could it be me or is it destiny or luck?
The chances one has, the moments of truth,
Why do mine never appear or pass without knowledge?
I am as I am, My appearance isn't truth.
I am avoided by most, mocked by others,
Befriended by the merest few.
How can one hope to succeed
When I am surrounded by my own failure?
