Stress
Dangit -_-'
Stress can be a real Bi - WITCH! I ment witch! O_O

Yep, schools in again...forcast? Emo-ness

Actually, grade wise and stuff, it's not going as bad as last quarter, so that's good. The bad news? In order to keep it that way, I'm so busy that I rarely get anytime to do things like, well, posting anymore. And it's only going to get harder! Yay!

Main issue? It seems the stress level is manifesting itself in a new and exciting way! I can seem to eat anything, or rather, I can't finish whatever I try to eat.
I feel genuinely hungry after a hard day at school with no breakfast because it takes too long to cook, and lately food sound revolting in the mornings.
I try to eat dinner, and after eating MAYBE half of a normal, easy portion, even my favorite foods hold no attraction. In fact, I can't MAKE myself eat anymore, because it becomes nearly impossible to swallow at these times (I'm wondering if I trained myself a little TOO well when it came to never over-eating).

I've also been feeling particularly well in general. The usual, lathargic, headache-y, ill-tempered. I dunno, maybe the wacked out eating habits have something to do with this.

thankfully, I was able to polish off a little more than lately yesterday, could be a good sign (I hope) or it could just be that I don't have school and crap to worry about since it's the weekend.
*sigh* Either way, I REALLY hope it stops soon, cause my mom and my sister (especially her) say if it doesn't I'll have to see the doctor, and not that I think I know more than them, or don't trust them or anything, I just don't think there's much they'll be able to do.

Okay, done with the ranting, now for some happier news, I entered the monthly Letraset "Hoshi Competition" for Anime/Manga art today. So, well see anytime between February 18th - 20th if I win or not. If I do, I'm supposed to get comic supplies or something, guess, like, markers or something, cool thing is, I think I've got a good shot. So we'll see, I'll be biting my nails all the way LOL XD

Okay, Ja Mata Guys...Oh yeah, and here's a random picture of a cute puppy...FEAR THE KAWAII PUPPY! FEAR IT!! O_o...

It burnnnnsss!!!!
I have been scanning other (mainly Naruto) OCs on photobucket, and I found, well, in my opinion, disturbing trend...a LOT of people paint over screenshots!
Upon seeing more and more as I flipped through the pages, It made me quite ill to be honest. I found that this has become one of my STRONG dislikes. I know that I may be talking to some that possibly take part in this, so I will state again that this is only my opinion, and I have points as to why I hate this activity with such a passion
1. They are not truely original. They were created from the frame of another character, and therefore will always be partially someones else's
think about it, it's not a very nice description when you say "oh, this is my OC, he looks exactly like Sasuke, but his hair is brown."
2. It's lazy, even if you "suck" or "can't draw" at least if you tried, they would be YOURS truely and completely.
3. Most have such a distinct lack of care or experiance with digital image programs, that it would in fact be more respectable for someone to actually DRAW a picture of their OC and make a real EFFORT, rather than slap a bunch of colors on the result of hours of a true professional's hard work in Microsoft paint (which is a virtually useless program in the first place) and submit it as "yours".

But the most despicable thing I have seen is when they don't even use screenshots, but other artist's work!
I'm sorry, but how dare you take another artist's piece, cover carelessly over the result of THEIR blood, sweat and tears, and submit it somewhere else, and confidently call it YOURS?

If I ever where to find that someone had done so to one of my works, I would be hurt, but most of all angry. For me, that would not be far at all from plan old art theft.

*breaths* Okay, I'm done with my rant...I just had to get this out, it really made me angry when I saw this.
As I said before, this is strictly MY opinion alone. But please, I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like this, so if you "screenpaint" or otherwise, please think twice. Especially the one dealing with small-time artist's work, we post our works because we are proud of what our hard work has produced, and we don't want to see it covered up, it can hurt.
If you want to make an OC, please, at least TRY to draw them yourself,
practice,
improve if you don't like where you are,
only then will you really understand the hard work that goes into these works, and how good it feels to make something truely unique, and best of all YOURS.

I've been tagged!
Yeah, they finally got me too!

I'll let the vid speak for itself...

OH! and I have Tsubaki's "anthro" form up on devianART.
But I can't post it here, since it looks like she's nude, when she's acutally covered by a sleek fur coat.
Anyways, here's the links, Comment here or there!

New Background
Yay! new background!
...Yes, Itachi again...God I look like such a fangirl...

Whatever, I'm happy with it, It took me days to find this picture on photobucket, I was in the area of oh, say page 230+ when I finally found the one I was searching for.

But while doing that, and fretting over how fangirlish my album looks (most of my pics are of him! *sweat drop*)I realized something...

Out of my three fav charas, (Sasuke, Kakashi Itachi), I found that, at least on PhotoB, the best, and most beautiful works of (fan) art on there are of Itachi!
I mean, yeah, Kakashi has some, and Sasuke may have a couple, but for some reason I see the greatest range of techniques, and the best skills being portrayed with Itachi fanart.

...I dunno, maybe he makes a more artisitcally inspiring subject?
...or maybe it's just cause he's so "Pretty" XD.
Whatever, I'm done "reflecting"...I leave you with a pic that I think Illustrates this point well.

...LOL...

   First Outing of the Year
*happy sigh* ^_^

this is nice, for the first time I can remember, I feel truely refreshed and, *gasp!* relaxed!

After working my butt off to get the time for it, I was finally able to attend my first airshow in YEARS; the Cable Airfair, at Cable airport in Upland (California)! YAY!
It's not the biggest airshow, no, but still, I needed it. it was PERFECT weather to! Normally, I can't attend airshow because they're too hot, and I do not handle heat well, but this time, I made it home without even a hint of a headache.
Sure, some of my favorites, namely the Sailplane and John Culver's T-6, didn't fly, but it was still great, especially the "Old-time aerobatics" that they had...low, slow, and graceful, like they did in the 50's and 60's! What was really awesome was how the pilot stopped the plane - yes, stopped, as in the prop was no longer moving - did menuvers like loops etc. and landed it, all without the engine. absolutely beautiful.

But I think one of the coolest things was doing the traditional walk-by of old hanger "J". It brings back so many memories, it was where my family would have hanger parties with friends. Back when my dad still flew, and we still had the hopeful beginnings of an airplane (a Rand (sp?) KR-2, apparently) in the garage. I think I was like, two or three then.
I went for my first and only airplane ride at Cable (in a cessna)...and fell asleep -_-'
*shrug* oh, well, I still did it, and didn't throw up or anything ^_^

But yeah, it felt good to breath again, and go to something that is to us, like football, baseball games, etc. are to lots of other people. I actually feel more able to get work done now. So *sigh* I'm off to do so.
Just had to share this nostaligic little tidbit with you, stuff like this is special to me.

Later!

   Tacking up...Again
Okay...

yeah, I was suppose to re-open requests on FanartCentral, and never did - the reason?
Quite honestly, I didn't feel like it. -_-'
I know, lame excuse, but whatever, maybe next time, we'll see what shape I'm in after the following 11 weeks.

on a less emo note...I am currently hopeing and praying that I will be able to go to Anime Expo (AX) this year! As I finally have money! yay - *shifty eyes* hides money in cosplay shoes...

I noticed something, a lot of fun stuff happens at the beginning of the year. like the local Dog show, the Cable airfair, various other airshows...well, maybe, if first week isn't so cruel, I can make it to Cable this weekend.
YAY! Airplanes again!...Sorry, it's been YEARS since I've been to an airshow...
anyways yeah, I think I'm done rambling for now.
Ja Mata

P.S. the description of my title: I have a strange way of viewing things, they almost always feature a paralell situation in the animal world.
So for me, going back to school is the equal to a horse getting "tacked up" for work after being turned out to pasture. I also describe it as "getting the bit put back in"

I think I'll start embeding
vids in my posts, it's a fun little extra, sooo...This one is from SereneDarkness on youtube! I love this video, it's my fav pile of randomness! ^_^
enjoy, and leave all reservations at the door.

AX tickets are going on sale!
I'm sooo freakin happy that I got the money for Anime Expo this year!

(hopefully, school will allow me to go *Prays fervently*)

the tickets apparently go up for sale in January, and I got cash for Christmas, saving my but since I have no job, and will not be able to make the money myself in time. (Grandparents are a blessing, seriously, they should be appreciated more.)

I'm so gonna cosplay...sorta, I'm doing my OC again (check my portfolio and click on Naruto OC in the cosplay to check it out)...do OC's count?
whatever, they can think what they want, but I made it myself and I'm PROUD!

okay, I don't think I can babble on about that anymore...lets see...

.................................................

Oh, in other news, I was really close to going to Urgent Care on thursday night.

I think I got REALLY BAD food poisoning or something, and broke out in a high grade fever rediculously fast. apparently that made me so dizzy that I couldn't see very well, and I couldn't walk, so when I tried I fell over (my jujitsu falls escaped me at that moment...Ouch -_-') and couldn't get up under my own power. I My dad had to help me, so yeah, I was a little scared about that, luckily it cleared up, and I'm fine.

also, consequently, got a nose-bleed, but that's unrelated to the illness. You, know, you never realize how wimpy the human body is until you actually experiance an uncontrolled fall. I had 1 freakin fall and I'm banged up, seriously, got bruises on my knees, a scratch across my arm, and a bruise and scrape on my chin (don't know where that came from.) It's kinda depressing, I gotta have my sister refresh my falls or something (she's a brown belt, she can do that.)

anyways, yeah, that's my news break for the time-being.

   Marry Christmas
Yet another year is coming to a close...*sigh*

and what a year it was! I got the internet - FINALLY!, started college, and so many other things I can't think of right now.

Ya know, birthdays and New Years aren't the only times for reflection, I've found.
it's at times like Thanksgiving and Christmas, when we are either gathered together or even scattered that the real reflection begins.

It's at these times, when we see people we know and love, that we come to see how life has changed them, as well as ourselves.
things that seemed so important before now fall from our minds and are replaced with new concerns and cares as time flows by, indifferent to the triumphs and sorrows of life.

...Crap, I'm getting all poetic again -_-'

Whatever, I kinda like it that way, it's my way of showing I'm being serious. I better get now, Mom wants to chat on stikam.

I have a vid I found on youtbe, let's see if I can get it up here...

...Marry Chrismas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year, fellow Otaku.

(NO FLAMING ON THE VID, THANK YOU)

2nd Quarter is over!
O M G...I actually made it...

I can't find the words to descibe how happy I am that the virtual HELL that was 2nd quarter is OVER!

a lot happened this time, I originally dropped my effective speaking class bringing my course load down to 4.
Then later, due to bad sceduling and a series of unfortunate events, I had to withdraw from Anatomy with a WF (withdraw-failing) grade because I only had a few weeks left to make up a horrible grade by the time I found out about it.

After that, things got marginally better, I at least passed my three remaining classes, and had some artwork pulled for consideration for the wall and whatnot.
But it's over now, I don't know my grades right now, but I'm getting a lesson in just backing off and leaving it to God.

On a more solemn note, our school was struck with a horribly tragic event
I found that one of our more advanced Animation students and a member of the school's ambassedor's club, took his own life in the final week of November. He was in his early thirties and held so much promise.

I didn't know him personally, but either way, he was a member of our school,a member of the family of artists, and more personally, the art student family, and it is a great loss.
