New Theme

I decided it was time for a new theme to go with the New Year. The background image is the Upper Falls in Yellowstone National Park. Where my welcome banner is the Lower Falls.

Since Indifference is in this Dark Link craze I decided to use the new banner she made for the Desbreko Fan Club. ^_~

Not much else is going on. I keep waiting for the right snowstorm to hit to see if Utah drivers out due themselves in car accidents this year. Last year there was over 700 accidents in two or three days. It was insane.

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a good Christmas. I did. I got the new Zelda game amoung other things. It’s a lot of fun. I love the graphics on it. They’re very rich and colorful. I’m only on the first dungeon.

Here are the pictures of Aaryanna’s dog I promised to post. If you’ve seen Aaryanna’s avatar and banner on the OtakuBoards then you’ll be familiar with the first one.









Doesn’t she look adorable? Aaryanna’s dog is so much fun to dress up even though she doesn’t always like it very much. The dog really dislikes like wearing hats so we don’t use them very often if at all. ^_^

Christmas Theme and Poochie

Since Christmas is almost upon us I thought I would change my theme for the rest of the month.

I hope everyone is doing well. I decided to start this post off with a couple of important things I have learned over the last couple of months. First off, I should never cook pies when I’m really tired. The night before Thanksgiving around 11:30 p.m. I decided to go ahead and cook a pecan pie. Somewhere after starting the recipe I got the bright idea to double the amount of pecans instead of increasing the amount by 25-50%. It seemed like a good idea at the time but it took forever to cook. I left out an ingredient and the pie ended up tasting dry because there were too many pecans so half of it is still in my fridge.

I discovered Aaryanna’s dog can wear 24 month children’s clothing! Much to Aaryanna’s dismay. I also managed two find matching outfits for Aaryanna and her dog, which Aaryanna has consented to wear for pictures for her parents for Christmas. However I have been warned if it makes its way to the Internet I’ll die a slow and painful death. Below is one of the two out fits we bought. Of course the other one is pink. Aaryanna even picked them out.







Isn’t she cute? ^_^ Anyway, Aaryanna even bought a Christmas outfit for her dog as well. That was easy because she likes to do Christmas cards of her dog. I need to do some editing on that one so I’ll show it to you next time. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a matching out fit for that one for Aaryanna. *quickly runs away before Aaryanna inflicts bodily harm* That’s all for now. ^_^

Still Alive



As the title states I’m still alive. I keep telling myself I’m going to update more often and the next thing I know a month has gone by. I ended up with a viral sinus infection that turned bacterial. It’s kept me feeling pretty miserable for the last three weeks. I finally went to the doctors last week though and ended up on an antibiotic. I’m starting to feel normal again. ^_^

I took Aaryanna and her dog to the vets today. Her dog has a cyst so she’s on an antibiotic for seven days to see if the infection will go away. Unfortunately this only works about a third of the time so the cyst may need to be surgically removed. Aaryanna’s feeling a little bummed about it.

Funerals



Today has been a sad day for me. I attended the funeral for one of my neighbors. He died earlier in the week. Ten years ago he had a heart transplant. A year and a half ago he started having more serious health problems because of it. At least he’s no longer suffering and that’s comforting. He’s been so sick these last few months that his death was not unexpected. He and his wife were youth leaders at church when I was a teenager. He was always a lot of fun at the various activates I went to.

Although I haven’t seen him as much over the last few years because he’d had more health issues I really miss him. He was always so cheerful and had a great sense of humor. The banter between him and his wife was hilarious at youth activities. He would tease her because she always overextended herself and ended up worn out from doing to much. One year she wanted a Nintendo system for her birthday and he didn’t take her serious so she gave him one for his birthday. It was pretty funny. They both loved playing the games.

It’s funny how people effect your life and you never want them to leave. He was 69. And one of the most honest reliable individuals I’ve ever met. He was always glad to help when he could. When one of my grandmothers died he and his wife watched me and my little brother while everyone else was at the hospital. They even drove us to and from the hospital a couple of times to make it easier on my mother.

Anyway I’m going to end things here since I just want to cry. Today has been so depressing.

On a more positive note, I hope everyone is having good weekend. ^_^

Dental Surgery



Since so many people keep telling me I need to update I decided I would. First off I’m sorry I haven’t visited very much over the last two weeks. I ended up having minor dental surgery a couple of days after I returned from the trip to Yellowstone National Park. The surgery left me watching a lot of anime and dozing through most of the day for a while.

I need to make sure I ask more questions next time my dentist wants to do something since I didn’t this time and he did considerably more work on me then I originally believed he would. This resulted with my mouth being far more painful afterwards then I thought it would which led to those lovely pain meds making me very loopy for a week. And the Dentist called it minor surgery. >_< Okay, so it was but it certainly didn’t feel like it for a couple of days. I couldn’t eat anything other then liquids and some soft foods for a week. I’m just glad I didn’t have the surgery before my trip. I would have been miserable. However I am doing well and I no longer need the pain meds so it’s a great improvement. ^_^

Anyway I’ll be posting about the Yellowstone trip on my next update. I plan on including some pictures. Take care. ^_^

Yellowstone & Picture! ^__^



Only a few more days tell my Yellowstone trip. ^_^ I started packing for it today. I like to start early to make sure I don’t forget anything. I make a list of the items as I pack them. Over the years I’ve found this to be very helpful in making sure I don’t forget something.

Last Saturday was my birthday. I had a lot of fun. I spent the day with my family and friends. My dad gave me a Nintendo DS Lite. ^_^ I was also given a beautiful Barbie Japanese Geisha doll since I collect them.

I conned Aaryanna into getting some outfits for her dog so we could dress her up and take pictures. Which explains the comment on her new avatar over at OB where she has the words “My Owner Is An Idiot” Hehe, her dog’s expression when we took that picture was priceless. Here’s a sneak peak at one of the pictures. Hehehe! It’s so cute!

I want to get more outfits, just for pictures of course, but Aaryanna and her dog are both giving me wary looks as if they are going to run away. I suppose I shouldn’t have let it slip that I want to dress both of them up in matching outfits. o_O I think it would be adorable, but the look Aaryanna gave me was one of if you even try to dress me up like you did my dog, you will die a slow and painful death. So I guess I just have to be happy with torturing the poor dog. At least until I think of the perfect bribe to get her to dress up for a picture. But seeing how much she hates dresses, I don’t see that happening any time soon.

Anyway, I won’t be visiting for probably the rest of the month since I won’t have Internet access in Yellowstone National Park. Not that I would have time for it anyway. ^_~ So have fun while I am gone. ^_^

Beware of hyper Bichons and their owners.



I finally don’t have to wear a wrist brace anymore but I still have to take it easy with my right hand. I’m doing much better. ^_^

In nine days I will be going on vacation with SunfallE and Aaryanna to Yellowstone National Park. It should be a lot of fun. My dad and brother are coming along to so we’ll be taking two cars. Aaryanna so excited about the trip that she’s been hyper for days. She’s driving me nuts! ^_~

Of course she wore herself out today. She and her cute little Poochie feel asleep on my sofa. It was so cute. At least she was finally quiet. ^_~

Well, since I don’t want to over do it with my hand, I’m off.

Arthritis & Shots Suck



Hello everyone! This is actually Aaryanna! Mwahahahahaha! I‘ve hijacked Mariskah‘s site and now my goal of world conquest will be realized! Mwahahahahahaha! *gasp, cough wheeze!* Ahem, I mean I‘m being nice and telling you how Mariskah is doing, yeah that‘s it! *shifty eyes* Anyway…

As the title says Arthritis and Shots suck. Mariskah‘s arthritis has been bad enough that she had to get a shot in her right wrist and as a result she has to wear a brace for a while and not use the hand. She can still make wallpapers as she just uses the mouse with her left hand, but typing is kind of a pain since doing it one handed takes forever. So after a little while she gave up. Well once I bonked her on the head that is. ^_~

So she won‘t be around much for the next couple of weeks as it takes a while for the medicine to do it‘s work. She hasn‘t forgotten any of you which is why she asked me to update for her. Which is a good thing cause if I had found an update that she had done I would have had to sick my dog on her! Though she‘s too sweet and doesn‘t bite. *sigh* Though I suppose she could lick her to death! Hehehe! Well have fun everyone! Bye! ^_^

Sometimes Life Sucks.



It’s been fairly hot here with the tempters being over a hundred for most of the last couple of weeks. My vegetable garden has flourished in the heat. My tomato plants are finally full of small, green tomatoes. ^_^ It’s very rewarding to plant the vegetable, nurture it for a couple of months, obliterate anything and everything trying to harm the plant and finally eat some of the vegetables it produces. It would be almost perfect if a certain someone would stop stealing ripe vegetables behind my back to feed her dog. Yes, I mean you Aaryanna! I guess I should have put up a cage to not only keep the birds out but you as well. ^_~

On a sad note one of my friends grandson killed himself. He was only 14 years old. It’s shame someone so young felt there was no other option then suicide. I keep trying to think of something comforting to say to my friend but I find myself at a loss for words. What makes it worse is one of her sister-in-laws passed away last month due to cancer. The two were best friends. I guess the whole thing has made me stop and think more about my life. I was pretty annoyed about something over the weekend but that now seems insignificant.

I now have two friends with family members who killed themselves. The effects of the deaths are and will be long lasting. The second friend’s brother killed himself over 15 years ago. He was living with my friend and her husband at the time of his death. To this day her brother’s death still haunts her and she wonders what she could have done to reach out and possible stop him from feeling the necessity of ending his life.

Anyway, hopefully the rest of you guys have had a less depressing weekend then I did. Take care. ^_^
