Thank You.
Sure it's an anonymous thank you, but a thank you none the less.

Fact is, I owe thanks to someone who showed me how to use Photoshop and Paintshop pro two years ago.

Without the tools and suggestions she gave me, I wouldn't have been able to do anything. So, regardless of how you or I still feel. I do owe you a huge thanks for teaching me how to use photoshop. As you remember, I have always given credit where credit is due and I do owe you one.

Thanks, and you were right. Time does help you get better with things.

I still may not be the master of photoshop, but hell, I know and admit that I could not have been able to do this: http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/Val-ness/Banners%20and%20other%20things%20for%20websites/Valicevorpal.jpg

Without your help. So thanks again :).

Ponder?
Sometimes I REALLY hate being at the bottom of the food chain at work.

Maybe 12 bucks an hour ISNT worth this...

...but then again.. 3,000+ dollars in my bank account is rockin out loud....

I really do work for my money. You guys have no idea.

But all in all, no complaints. I have a great job that I am completely lucky to have.

I've been a busy busy person.

I passed all my classes, and made a B average. Rob and I are still together.

I've been playing city of heroes, but I lost photoshop so no more background making :(.

The Abolition of Man
If no one has ever read the book "The Abolition of Man" by C.S. Lewis, I strongly urge you to pick a copy up. Now that I have said that I am sure that 10 our of 100 people will pick it up, 5 out of 100 will attempt to read it, and then 4 out of those 5 are going to say it's too hard and put it down and then sell it on Amazon.

That's pretty sad but true. America is pretty dumbed down when it comes to good literature as well as when it comes to thinking. We live in a country where we idolize our movie stars and our pop singers rather than those with intellect and heart.

I babysat a while ago and I remember I asked three kids what they wanted to be. They were about 7 or 8, you know the age when you start thinking and dreaming about that sort of thing. Anyways, they had responded with movie star, a country singer, and a rap star.

So I asked then why not a teacher or a fire fighter. They responded that there was no money in that, and no one likes you when you are those things.

Which I guess is true here in our great country that I truly love (seriously).

The thing that I am getting at is "ubi sunt" or.. "Where have all the heroes gone?" Our nation no longer appreciates the people who truly matter in this country. You know, the people who keep out lives functioning?

If you can't think of who I am talking about, allow me to share them:

Teachers
Fire fighters
Doctors
Social Workers
Industry workers
White collars
Blue collars
Farmers

How many of you actually think that life would be possible without any of these people? Our society glorifies a group of celebrities, sports stars, and others who do nothing but make money off of us sitting and drooling over how awesome they are. We pay them to be ignorant, and talented.

I can think of very few celebrities who are intelligent. And though most of America does not agree, Tom Cruise is indeed intelligent, and one of the few celebrities I speak of.

It is nice to appreciate the talent and effort that people have in their field, but it is also nice to appreciate those who do the ordinary things.

I urge you: CELEBRATE THE ORDINARY. We need to step out of our glorifications, we need to step out of all the glamorous, flossy, and shiny things that we THINK we need to be good people.

There are only two things in this world you need to do to be a good person: Love God with your whole heart. And love your neighbor as you would yourself.

Even if you aren't a believer of God, you can at least be a good person by acting kind towards others.

We need to step out of this idealistic generation set on praising those who do very little for the hearts of mankind. That goes for anyone, even the tousled poet is wrong in his doings. Step back and stop trying to be someone that the masses will praise and bow down to. You trying to be something that everyone adores is just setting the abolition of mankind into a faster track than it is on now.

All you really need to do is be ordinary, plain, and above all caring.

It isn't that hard. Really.

I challenge you to try it.

So I've been parading around lately listening to whatever I can get my grubby little hands on. I came across a new artists called Dj MixAge

His stuff is awesome, and I have really enjoyed it.

If you're interested in hearing some new stuff go check him out at www.myspace.com/djmixage

I love it. I find myself swaying back and forth in some kind of entranced rhythm.

Also, my English teacher told me I was the leader of the class, which made me feel all warm and fuzzy as I have been kind of down on myself lately.

Also, I'm stressed about getting 365 dollars for a down payment on an apartment. It's just an efficiency apartment, as Rob and I cannot afford a one bedroom or even two bedroom.

I don't know if we're going to be able to make that much by June 1st, so please I am asking you my friends, can you please pray for me? I really need the help. If you don't believe in Jesus or God, that's fine...but for those of you who do, please pray that he and I can each get 365 by june first.

It would really help a lot.

So that's what's bugging me lately. I've also been having issues with the whole 'I wish I had parents' deal. It's kind of got me a bit down, but I'm sure I'll rise back up in time.

School is great, I'm passing everything. I'm going to be okay, just taking things one day at a time as it comes at me.

::huggles:: I love you all.

Happy easter!!!

I got my schedule for next week. I work monday, friday, saturday, and sunday. So I can't go home this coming week :(.

But that's okay. I'll ask for next week off on monday so I can go home and see my family. I miss them a lot, and Jen said she was really looking forward to seeing me, and was sad when I didn't get to go out to the family this easter.

It's all good. I'll see them soon. I want to see them so bad :(.

Grades are good, classes are going well, and I love my job :D.

I also might get to stay in an apartment this summer, which is a plus. I'm looking, so hopefully it will happen so I can keep my job.

How's shtuff going on your end?

Oh...and did you guys take a look at the picture ^_^

It is all back at you guys in return.
