Well, I had my hopes up about getting an Ethernet adapter for my Mac, but it didn't turn out for the best, I'm afraid. The only thing I can do is save up over the summer and try to get a new one. Wish me luck, lol.

For all of you that regularly submit Otaku Attractions, please put this address on your contact list:

theotaku.attraction@gmail.com

That will be where I'll be accepting new submissions from now on. I'll be giving everyone a three-week grace period to get used to it. I'll also be posting this address with the new OAs that I put up every Friday from now on. Hopefully, people get used to it fairly quickly.

I'm making a bit of an executive decision regarding the OA. I've decided that I'm going to make a separate e-mail account so everyone can just send them there and no one will have to worry about their stuff being missed and whatnot. I'll be posting the address here later, so be on the lookout.

In response to Bell:

I read over Katana's small rant and thus is my reply:

I, too, have seen the Mac vs. PC commercials and I also find them a bit ludicrous. Macs are definitely not superior to PCs overall, but have their advantages and disadvantages in certain catergories, which I mentioned in my previous post.

With those commercials, Apple just managed to show off how completely that the PCs have taken over the market. Just by putting them on television was basically saying "Hey, look at me!! I'm here too! BUY ME, DAMMIT!!" Then they had to go into how Macs pretty much aren't that suseptible to viruses. Which is true, since not enough people use Macs to create viruses for them. If Macs were to suddenly start to take up a large chunk of the market (promptly after Hell's first snowball war and pigs start migrating to Brazil for the winter months with their newly-sprouted wings), you can bet your ass there would be a crapload of new Mac-specific viruses on the net within a few hours to wreak havoc on someone's shiny new MacBook.

There are some things that I don't care for about Macs, most of which are superficial, which I've gotten used to.

However, that's not to say that PCs aren't without their flaws, either. I've heard that there are a fair amount of flaws with Vista that have popped up already (although I admit that I haven't had any experience personally with Vista, since I know no one with the OS). There was also a fair amount of things wrong with Windows XP and everything else that has come out for PCs (I don't know about Linux, though. But from what I've heard, Linux can be a bitch to work with if you don't know what you're doing).

What this boils down to is that Mac-users and PC-users are at war for no fucking reason. Each variation of computer, whether it be PC, Mac, PDA, whatever, has its flaws. No product is better overall to another in actuality, because they both do the same thing, admittedly in different ways, some of the time.

Whether you have a Mac or a PC, you can get on the Internet. Whether you have a Mac or a PC, you can use a word processing program. Whether you have a Mac or a PC, you can use graphics programs. In all honesty, it really shouldn't matter what type of computer you're using. Yes, it may be tough to deal sometimes, but at least you have a computer to use. :/

Well, still no adapter, and it doesn't look like I'll be finding one, either. Unfortunately, there are no Mac stores here in the area and all of the tech stores in town don't carry anything Mac-related, which sucks.

What I don't understand is this, though. Why does everyone hate on Macs so badly? They're just computers, same as PCs. Sure, they have different OSs and some of the keys are different on the keyboard, but overall, they do exactly the same thing.

It's true that each have their own strong points. Macs are better for making graphics and using art programs on; PCs dominate the game market. Both have access to good word processing programs and other things that people usually pick up a computer for (i.e. get on the Internet, etc., et. al.).

So why do Macs get all the hatred? It just doesn't make any sense to me. I can't tell you how many times I've heard:

"Macs are worthless. Not even worth the plastic to make the casing."

or

"You run a Mac? Why the hell mess around with a piece of crap like that?"

And I haven't even told them it's pretty ancient yet. Or that the hard drive space is so small, a USB drive has more space than it does, haha.

But really, when it comes down to it, I just honestly don't understand the whole "computer prejudice" thing. It honestly doesn't make any sense. As long as the computer does what you want it to, what's the difference?

Well, I've managed to damamge the Ethernet port on my laptop, so it's pretty much Internet-incapable right now. I'm using a friend's computer to post this now, lol.

So, until I get a new laptop (which could be next month), I'll have to use campus computers to take care of my duties. Fun. XD

Whoo for Notes.
- Yes, I am quite aware that the early Otaku Attraction didn't happen. I am also quite aware that there wasn't an Otaku Attraction at all this past weekend. However, this will be remedied by the fact that there will be two this coming weekend. That's right, two. Believe it. [/Naruto]

- Changes are afoot. Watch the front page.

- I have the latest Naruto and the first volume of Black Cat. Happy.

- I went to the Wizards game over Break where they played the Golden State Warriors. Great game. And I had damn-near floor seats. Sweet beyond belief, lol. More DC stories to come.

That's all from me for now. Laters.
