To fall in with the Harry Potter reports: I finished the book at 6:14 a.m. July 22, about 13 hours after I purchased it.

I was really sad about some of the events that took place (I actually did cry at some parts), but overall, I think it was a good ending. :)

In other news... I got a new sketchbook! :3 I've been filling it with proper character sheets for Lost... (manga project) and I'll be working on the map of the world this evening. Exciting stuff. ^^

In other news, I should be making my return to the news team around August 13. I should be back on campus by then, so I'll finally be free of this evil, evil firewall (and you guys will have the OA back, since you apparently miss it so much).

Oh, and thank you to everyone that suggested books and things for me to read and play. It's very much appreciated. I've been looking in the library for some of the books, but it appears they don't have them... Shame. :(

Other than that... Not much else is going on... How are you all's summers coming along?

So, I'm done with my internship and I've beaten FFXII (but I'm going back on my other save files to do all the sidequests). That doesn't leave me a lot of things to do... (save for working on my manga project thingy).

Do you all have any suggestions of books or games that might catch my attention? I prefer fantasy books and I run a PS2/GCN (I prefer RPGs and fighters, though I'm open to anything except FPS).

Well, my internship will be coming to an end tomorrow. Time to look for a new job! ^^

Other than that, I've just been doing random things (writing a Mark guide for FFXII, tripping ove Chris Benoit's death, writing up some RP ideas)... Oh! I did make a soundtrack for my characters from my manga. That was pretty exciting.

Seems I wasn't quick enough
After months of planning and reworking and planning again trying to think of a proper proposal to send to James, it seems Aryanna_Mom beat me to the punch of proposing a newspaper proper for OB, haha.

Ah, well. The best laid plans. Good luck to her, heh.

EDIT: I am so incredibly happy right now. I found out that there's a British candy shop in town. I went there a few minutes ago and it has to be one of the GREATEST STORES EVER.

They have Dairy Milks. <3 And Twining's Tea. I have no idea what they're popularity is in England, but I absolutely love both of these.

Life really does have its bright moments.

I hate construction.
Imagine, if you will, that you're sleeping quite peacefully in your own bed. You're in a zone. A Sleep Zone. A zone of so much absolute comfort, you would think that you're in Heaven.

You're having a dream. An incredibly wonderful dream filled with all of the things you love most. This also reminds you of the previously mentioned Heaven.

All is quiet. All is peaceful.

For those that are wondering...
For those of you that have been wondering where the Otaku Attraction has gone, my current situation pretty much prevents me from doing things how I would normally, so it's obviously been put on hiatus. I reckon it'll be likely to return sometime in August.

On AX

So, I hear that Adam and Gail are hosting a meet-up at AX. That should be fun for the lot of you that manage to go. I would be trying, but I've decided to go down to Louisiana around that time. Those that do go, be sure to take lots of pictures of cosplayers and neat stuff for me to see (a few pictures of Gackt, Miyuavi and Yoshiki would be nice, too!).

On life

Things have been going relatively well at the job. I'm learning a lot about copy-editing and laying out pages for a widely published newspaper. A few of the headlines I've written for stories have stuck too, which makes me really happy. :) It's a good thing. Also a good thing: I managed to get the Collector's Editon of Final Fantasy XII for $30. Thank you, GameStop. :3 (Basch ROCKS.)

On the weirder things in life

I've decided that I'm going to start writing the story proper behind the manga I've been developing for quite some time. I've had a lot of ideas in mind for it, but I've never sat down and sorted them out. I've got the character designs for most of the main players laid out (they've gone through about a million style changes and still going), but I figure before I get any farther, I need to sit down and create the world and everything else about it. Surprisingly enough, the Dungeon Master's Guide for Dungeons & Dragons is really helpful with things like that, so I might pick one up off of Amazon or something. Wish me luck!
