It's amazing how much I appreciate random insanity.

Case in point. A friend of mine came into my room the other day and I offered him some crab rangoon (without letting him know that's what it was), not knowing he didn't like cream cheese. As soon as he bit into it, he went flailing around the room and ran out when my roommate let him know there was a trash can outside. Upon his return, he went on a 10-minute rant on the evil of cream cheese. I couldn't stop laughing for a half-hour.

Again, my appreciation of random insanity amazes me.

Hm. I was expecting a big surge of new submissions for the OA when I said it would be making a comeback the other day, but the last submission I got was in July. :/ Proof positive no one reads this page! (Save for the cool people. 'Cause you're cool that way.)

Ah, well. It's not like there aren't plenty in there already. I'll find something, haha. See you tomorrow!

An Open Letter
To: 90% of Rap artists in the Music Industry
Re: The "Stop Snitchin' " Movement
Cc: All major record labels

Dear Sir/Madam:

It has come to my (and the nation's) attention recently that a movement has begun among the young African-American youths of our nation. This movement, commonly known by the name "Stop Snitchin'," has become a fairly household phrase, being shown on everything from clothing to being featured in the music and videos that you yourself create. You encourage not only our youth, but the population in general, to not cooperate with the police under any circumstances for any crime, anything from a minor infraction, such as jaywalking, to a horrible crime, such as outright murder.

I would likely to formally ask you to cease this at once, for the following reasons:

— As said before, "Stop Snitchin' " encourages people to not get involved with the police. This is merely helping the drug dealers and gang members do exactly what they want to do: control our neighborhoods through fear. Telling people not to "snitch" is only making our problems with rising crime rates increase.

— Think about what would happen if one of your loved ones was killed and you saw what happened. Can you honestly sit there and say you would not try your hardest to see that murderer brought to justice, not only because of the pain he caused you and the rest of your family, but because it's the right thing to do?

— African-Americans are currently in a hefty amount of turmoil. Our children (along with those of many other races) are constantly criticized and looked down upon because of the ghettos that the drug-dealing and gang members of our society create. It forces our children to grow up in this horrible environment and eventually become the next generation of gang-bangers. And for what? Some "street cred?" Being able to "proudly" state, "I ain't no snitch?" Is that honestly worth sacrificing our children's future?

Admittedly, there are a lot of problems that African-Americans and others in our nation face today. There has to be a lot of work done before we are able to truly say that we've begun to fix them. But this "Stop Snitchin' " movement is not helping matters in the least. It is only serving to worsen the problem on multiple levels. We have babies having babies, babies killing babies and a worsening death statistic regarding crime- and drug-related fatalities on our hands. If anything, this is a time where we need to step up, as a people, and say this needs to stop. We need to take a stand against this.

I kindly ask that you stop promoting this movement in your music and videos. Help to change what so many years of hatred and misdirection have been able to accomplish. Help to work toward a better future for our children. Help to stop "Stop Snitchin'."

Thank you.

Made it to Evansville. Am alive, well and obviously have Internet capabilities. I reckon that the manga releases and the Otaku Attraction will be making their return this week, but don't quote me on it.

Take care all. Love ya! :3

Being a Hero is for the Birds...
So I've started playing Twilight Princess again after having negelected it for so many months. I made it up to the Temple of Time (having started from the Arbitor's Grounds) last night, and I have to say... Link puts up with a lot of shit for being a Hero. I mean, think about it. You're living a nice docile life as a farmhand (with one hell of an awesome horse for a commoner, I might add), when all of a sudden:

1) Your village is raided and your friends taken hostage by a living mass of blubber on a boar.

2) Eventually, after rescuing said friends, you find out you're destined to save your entire country (no pressure).

3) You get Midna as a sidekick.

4) You also get turned into a werewolf.

5) You find out you have to trek across all over said country to find bits and pieces of some relic from another dimension for the sidekick, which have the power to turn people into evil, power-hungry bastards.

6) You manage to collect all these (while dodging the masses because you have to be a wolf to do some of the work), only to have them stole by a freak in a chameleon mask.

7) The Princess of your country sacrifices herself to help you (again with the "no pressure").

8) You go to a haunted prison infested with Moblins, kill them, work your way thorough, only to have to fight a giant skeleton dragon brought to life by above-mentioned freak to get some mirror, again to help the sidekick.

9) After all is said and done, you find out the mirror is shattered and the pieces are, surprise, scattered all over the country! (By the way, you are also introduced to Ganondorf. Yays.)

10) In the process of getting the first piece, you are assaulted by a yeti. Multiple. Times.
You are then assaulted by his wife. With ice.

And that's only as far as I've gotten.

If I were Link, I would have said "bump this" a long time ago. Of course, the world would have been overridden with darkness and evil, but what's a little tyranny to save tredging all over the country on quest after seemingly never-ending quest.

Then again, that's why I'm not an actual game character.

Taking all that into account... Link's a pretty badass dude. But we already knew that.

Gia is some kind of amazing. Believe it. *nods*

Anyway, I only have about two more weeks before I'm off to Uni for the last time. It's hard to believe that four years have gone by so quickly! It's really strange to think about, honestly. I mean four years... It seems like it hasn't happened. :/ But I am four years older, four years wiser and have made some awesome friends, both on and offline (and "met" a few teasers to boot). So, all in all, I'm grateful. :3

Oh, speaking of going back to school, it's time for the yearly rant on Greyhound:

HOLY CRAP, I hate Greyhound. --; Once again, I have to go all the way to St. Louis to get to Evansville. Fun.

I wouldn't be so bad if St. Louis' terminal wasn't so dang small. I swear, if there are a lot of people waiting to get on the bus, you're better off just standing outside in the picnic area. It saves a lot of grief and attitude (plus, I'm not the biggest fan of small spaces). Here's to hoping I don't have to sit next to an overabnoxious person on the road (or one that's been traveling for the past two days; they're not that fun, either).

That's it for now. In closing, I leave you with a lolcat I found that I really like:
