Well, Adam's interview with Ichigo and the gang is up over at Anime-Pulse. Putting a voice with a face (HA!) is pretty amusing. I really didn't expect him to sound that way.
In other faucets of current times, this news embargo is killing me because there are some interesting little tidbits that are going down in the anime world. However, we are on lock-down, so I won't use this as a faucet to get news out (though admittedly, the thought has crossed my mind a few times in the past few days). I blame my inner journalist. ;p
Oh, there'll be the annual Winter Whispers dance here on campus tomorrow. If all things go as I think they will, there may be an ever-so-rare picture of me in a dress here afterwards. The chances of this are shaky at best, but it could happen, haha.
Other than that, there's not a lot that's going on in this neck of the woods, save for the weekly DnD games and such (yes, I am that much of a dork). I do have an outline for a biology paper to write tomorrow, so I suppose I'll be spending most of the time in the library. Whoo~.
Wish me luck.

Now that the cat's out of the bag...
Well, we've officially gone on lockdown, meaning that I can finally say what I want about this whole thing.
That being said, permission to keep it real? Ya? Gravy.
My personal opinion is that the people behind this entire fiasco of a "con" should be downright ashamed of themselves. Not only have they screwed with our very own on the team (not to mention damaging the site's reputation just by having had Gail and Adam help them), but they've screwed over every single person that volunteered and took time out of their lives to even give a thought of support this convention, including the fine folks over at AnimeVegas.
I've read over everything that people have been posting on the 'Net about what went on, and to be honest, I'm really glad I wasn't able to go, if I would have really had the chance (see Gail's story for the reference).
All in all, I'm really pissed off at the fact that all this crap went down, and I'm not the only one, I know. The people that actually put hard work into helping those....people...out are the ones that are really hurting, not to mention our contest winners, who probably put in countless hours on their pieces only to be denied what was promised to them. It's a damn shame, to be blunt. I'm praying that everything works out for the best, and I'm glad that so many of you all are pulling for us to come out on top. Things may be rocky for a bit, but I'm sure we'll be just fine as long as our member base stays strong behind us. :)
Thanks, ya'll. As we say 'round here, you all win the justice. Hopefully, so will we. ;)

The Return of the Notes!
- Interesting things are afoot on theO. Stay tuned, lol.
- I am absolutely pissed that the new Millennium World won't come out until October. D:< I want to see what happens to Kura~.
- My friends and I are slowly bringing more people into the Otaku Fold. We made our friend who was adamant about not liking anime sit down and start watching Cowboy Bebop. When we left, he told us to leave the discs so he could finish watching it. XD
- For some reason, I seem to be becoming quite popular. It's weird, lol.
- I am now apparently "a fur." No, not one of the creepy ones.
- IORI YAGAMI STOMPS YO' FACE. (King of Fighters reference)
That is all. Whoo.

This whole AnimeFF thing is getting pretty heavy. I've read that Adam is prepared to take this thing to another level if he has to, which could mean...interesting times around here, to say the very least.
However, from what I've heard and read, anything and everything that AnimeFF has thrown at them is well-deserved. Especially after what happened recently.
It's a real shame if someone would pull a lot of crap using a breast cancer awareness cover. I'm not saying that this is the case, but taking into account the current goings-on... :/

Well, it looks like I was off my mark this week with the Otaku Attraction. Ah, well. Can't hit one out of the park all the time, right? I'll try to make it up to everyone one Friday. :)
Anyway, I've been playing both my version of Capcom vs. SNK 2 (*SQUEE*) and Twilight Princess, the latter I've been neglecting for over a week. I made it to the Goron Mines this time through (and the entire part to get into the mines is hilarious), so that's good. I also managed to get to the Final Stage on CvS 2. Let me use a Daytonian turn of phrase here:
Final teams ain't no punk.
Even with my broken to hell team of Chun-Li, Terry and Haohmaru, I got beyond pwned. I didn't even make it to the last person on the final team. Eagle and Guile were enough for me. --; Sigh.
And just to let you know how broken my team should be, Haohmaru raises the bar for the brokenness of a lone character. His heavy punch (or slash, one should say) takes off 1/3 of your health if you're hit by it a certain way. The only thing that balances it out is the fact that recovery time is an absolute bitch.
Other than that, you can pretty much call him the Vega of all the SNK characters included in the game.
For clarification, Vega is the official name of the guy we know as M. Bison here in the States. This is due to a whole lot of drama when Street Fighter first came over here and the game had a character named M. Bison which was obviously a caricature/parody of Mike Tyson. So, Capcom shuffled some names of the characters in the English version to make everyone happy. Therefore, three characters had their names switched:
M. Bison = Vega
Balrog = M. Bison
Vega = Balrog
Weird thinking of everyone's favourite whooping, fence-climbing Spainard with the name Balrog instead of Vega, isn't it? I know it weirded me the hell out.
Anyway, besides the brokenness that is Haohmaru on my team, I also had Chun-Li (whom I just pwn with) and Terry (my second best character; Nakoruru is a close third). This would more than likely equal win, save for the fact that Eagle is the Combo King and Guile has the Double Sweep o' DOOM and his Sonic Booms of Pwnage. Fun. XD
I'll keep training and working at it, though. It's good times. :)
That's all from me. You all take care.

Well, the contest winners were finally posted. Congratulations to all of them. They're all quite deserving in my opinion. Kudos to all that entered, as well. You are officially better than me.
Anyway, as far as things with me are going... they're going, lol. I'm managing to get up what little news that floats my way up (though very little of it would interest the masses at large), and I'm actually managing to stay on top of my homework at a reasonable pace. (Which is fairly odd, taking into account my personal habits concerning organization, lol.)
I've also found that copyediting has become one of my favourite classes, shockingly enough. Not only am I learning about something that I'm truly interested in (and something my friends have me do for them constantly --;), but it will help me out a lot in my career. People in the news industry slit throats for copy editors. It's true. *nods sagely*
...As a random tangent, why the hell are our eyes designed to burn like the fire of a thousand suns when someone turns on a damn light?! IT'S A LIGHT, FOR CRIMINY'S SAKE.
Ahem.
Yes, well.
I should go. >.>;

Well, I was pretty angry with Ichigo and Batou yesterday, which most of you probably read before I took it down, but I'm over it now, so it's no big. Normally, I wouldn't have a problem with them, but when they start picking over little things like that, it just gets my goat, heh.
Anyway, I've been surfing around and managed to grab a few new tunes that I love, but there is one that I'm searching for that I can't seem to find anywhere. It's that Eiffel 65 song, "I'm Blue." I was watching one of the Ultimate Naruto Fanflashes again last night and that segment where they used it for Kisame came up, and it reminded me of how much I love it, lol. I know that I have weird taste in music, you don't have to tell me, lol. If anyone has any idea where to find it, could you be a doll and let me know? I'd really appreciate it. :)
Other than that, nothing all that exciting has come up in recent days. I'm working on my first short story for my writing class and that's going fairly well, so yay for that. I'm also expecting my Capcom vs. SNK 2 to come in in the next few days, so double yay for that. :)
Oh, and I also found out that I fail at Guilty Gear X. XD
That is all. :)

OMG, SNK owns my soul! o.o
I have become completely addicted to SNK. This spawns from the fact that a friend of mine has gotten me hooked on what has become tied for my most favourite fighting game of all time with Marvel vs. Capcom 2: Capcom vs. SNK 2 Millionaire Fighting 2001. Long title, but ZOMG, it's amazing.
As far as the gameplay itself game, it's a pretty standard 2-D fighter that uses a "Groove" system for Supers (different Grooves give different methods of attaining high-levels on the power bars and different ways of activating Supers). Some of the Capcom sprites look pretty substandard compared to the ones they redid for this particular game (namely Morrigan from DarkStalkers), but overall, it's very appealing.
My friends and I have been playing this game almost every day for about a week now (two of the expert players among us say that I'm catching up fast and that my Chun-Li is a daemon XD), which got me motivated to look into some of the characters I didn't know about, namely SNK's.
Thanks to the almighty Wikipedia, I have found that SNK's characters are very well-developed and I have come across quite a few favourites, namely Terry Bogard (aka Mr. SNK), Rock Howard, Nakoruru (such a sad story!), and Joe Higashi (JUST JOE! XD No one who has never watched the WWE before the name change will get that reference. Even if you have, you might get some trouble off it.).
Suffice to say, the game shall soon be mine. I just ordered the GameCube version from Amazon. XD And before people start going into how the GCN wasn't designed for fighting games (and yet SCII kicked seven kinds of ass), they have a special controller system just for the GCN. That said, Capcom and SNK pwn all. SRSLY.
That is all.

Well, I won't be going to Vegas with Adam and Gail come Friday for a various amount of reasons. I'm disappointed, but I'll get over it. There'll be other times. :)
Anyway, I finally managed to get my hands on Twilight Princess this evening as a pick-me-up. So far, I'm really liking it, save for the fact that I want to kill Midna. She's like an evil Navi that's twice as annoying. >< If she laughs one more time, I will shove her in a tanning booth and wrap it in chains.
I also bought manga. Whoo. ;p
That's all from me for the moment. Y'all take care.
