Hello again!
Well, I got my response from OLS and am now an official member, so to mark the occasion I've updated my story. I made this installment a little shorter than usual too.

Ninja Kai-Chapter 3: Part 6

“Gaijinkage-sama!” Booshi had appeared suddenly in the field. Gaijinkage stood where he was with the arrow piercing his hand.
“Miho and his nephew have gone too far Booshi. I need you to get together a crack squad of our elites and arrest them for attempted murder. I’ll teach Kai for you today.”
“But, master…”
“What better protection can we give Kai than the village’s craziest old man?”
Booshi seemed to smile under his mask. “None, sir,” he replied before he dashed off into the woods.
“Now Kai pay attention,” Gaijinkage said. “I will now make sure you know a decent amount of first-aid: How does someone take an arrow out?” He turned and held his pierced hand palm up toward Kai. The fletching of the arrow was a pitch black color that matched the color of the shaft.
“I remember… You break the arrow and pull it the rest of the way through?”
“Correct!” Gaijinkage then snapped the arrow just above the wound and pulled the arrow through, wincing slightly.
“Now I’ve got a tougher question. What is the best material to use for a bandage?”
“Um, I learned this in a first-aid manual… gauze? But we don’t have any… unless there’s some in this toolkit,” he said, remembering what Yuna said about how specifically the tool-kit was packed.
“That’s where you’re wrong, Kai. Then again, you can’t always be right when you are the student. The best bandage is living skin – live tissue.”
“But-“Kai started to interrupt.
“How does someone make a bandage that way? I assume that’s what you were about to ask… It’s a simple technique using the energy that Booshi showed you – he did show it to you, right?”
“Yes, sir”
“Now, I’ll simply concentrate that energy on that one point where the arrow was and…”
Kai watched Gaijinkage’s hand seal itself up as a bright red – almost pink light gathered at the wound.
“Luckily, Konsetsuo wasn’t being so terrible as to use poison on his arrow, or the task would have been much more painful.”
Hen then broke the head off of the arrow and placed it in his pocket. “I really doubt it, but the Miho family could have a new poison I don’t know about, so I need a sample.”
“How could you tell he didn’t poison it?” Kai asked.
“Because I’m not bleeding anymore. The Miho family is well known for being poisonous in both personality and skill. Oddly enough, they have also specialized in poisons since before the ninja massacre back in Japan. The only poisons we have allowed them to continue to have are weaker, mind affecting poisons, one that blinds the victim, and another that prevents healing of any kind. I’m not blind, I’m just as sane as I was before, and the wound just healed…”
“Is there anything you do to the energy to make it heal like that?”
“No, Kai. The truth is that a wound in the hand will do the least damage because energy will heal damaged flesh wherever it is channeled.”
“So, if I can just control where it goes, I can heal myself at any time?”
“Well Kai, with the level of control you have right now you might be able to heal your hand…”
Gaijinkage then got up and pulled out of his robe a bag similar to Kai’s tool-kit.
“Do you understand how Booshi can turn his energy into a fireball?”
“No, sir”
“Then let’s see if you can turn yours into one.”

Don't forget that just because I have only the most recent update on my site here doesn't mean you have to miss the rest of it! I'm published as far as legal reasons are concerned and you can read the first two chapters and parts 1-4 of chapter three for free (no kidding? =_=;) at www.fictionpress.com

Lately

Well, we've got a cat now. I'm sorry, but I really hope its only through the end of summer. She's cute and everything like any 2 or 3 year old cat can be, but we already have two dogs and this cat is not the sociable type (not that many are...). We got her (her name's Joey) from some friends of my dad who live in Oregon. Now, I like this cat and everything, but there's a few problems I've got with her:
1. I seem to be allergic to her (itchy eye)
2. While she's acting friendly, she hisses at me while I pet her (-_- so weird)
3. She's already managed to create a substantial amount of fear in our younger dog Leah. Leah shivers like crazy when the cat's near - its funny and not funny at the same time.

Questions:

1. Are you allergic to any animals?
2. Have you ever had EasyMac?
3. Can you use chopsticks?
4. I have 70 volumes of manga, how many do you have?

Thanks for all your comments! Hasta luego!

p.s. - That was not an actual application I had put up on Tuesday last week. I figure saying this now at the end of a post will get more attention than putting it three or four times at the beginning of a post did. I have no intention of starting a dating relationship online - thank you.
