~A start to something better~ An Angel, and Demon love story... PART 15 (Final BattleTHE END)
-Xavier-"Hurry up!" an overly cheery voice said over the phone."All right already, Marisa! I'll meet you at the movies in like 20 minutes, okay?" you replied, and hung up the phone in a rush. It had been 2 days since you got home, and you were already back into your old routine... It was like nothing had ever happened. Your time in the separate dimension didn't have the same flow of time, so it seemed as if you had never left the real world. As you fixed your hair, you grabbed a quick snack and ran out the door. Making your way down the sidewalk, the cool spring breeze picked up your hair. You looked up at the clear sunny day with a smile. *This year's been boring so far... I wish it would pick up,* you thought to yourself, as you watched a squirrel scurry up a nearby tree. It continued to scurry until it had reached the end of one of the far branches... Then it jumped! Dashing forward, you reached out your hands, hoping to catch it midair. *Is it insane!?* you thought to yourself as you barely caught it safely. Dazed and confused, it finally wriggled free from your grip and booked it down the street. *How... strange. What's this?* The furry fellow had left behind a feather... a white feather. *Why does this seem so familiar?* you thought, and a shooting pain went through your head. *What's going on!? It hurts so bad... Xavier? Who's that?* You were trying to remember, but nothing came to mind."Good to see you, (Your Name)," a kind familiar voice said from behind. You turned quickly to see a tall man with blue eyes and long blond hair. It shone in the sun radiantly... and you couldn't help but blush and gawk. For the sake of moving things along, though, you lifted your dropped jaw and tried to get serious."Who are you? How do you know my name?" you questioned. His eyes grew wide, and his expression grew grim."It's me, Xavier," he said softly, taking a few steps closer."Sorry, I don't know a Xavier..." you replied, and turned to move away. In your mind you had never met this man before, and it frightened you that he'd come so suddenly."Please wait!" he pleaded, and as you turned to deal with him further, he grabbed hold of your waist and looked deeply into your eyes. You felt paralyzed by his worried gaze, and before you were able to reply he pecked your lips sweetly and held you tight. "Remember me," he whispered."What are you talking about..." but you were cut short by the sharp pain pulsating through your head. Memories began to pour back into your mind rapidly, feeling as if they had happened all over again. Xavier only held you tighter, and soon you were returning his hug with your own."I remember now! I remember everything! The ceiling had shattered and fell on top of me... I must have blacked out, because the next thing I remember is waking in my room Didn't Reliena say that I wouldn't remember? She must have caused the memory loss once I left that world... It doesn't make much sense, but it's all that explains it. She still has a piece of me. Wait, how did you return, Xavier!? And where's Zachariah!?" you asked quickly, breaking away from his hold. "Zachariah is away, but will return soon to see you. I think the Platypus is having trouble adjusting. It's funny we've been Elementals, and we've been humans... but after we died, we moved onto a higher plain of existence. Zachariah, the Platypus, and I have finally become your guardian angels!" he announced happily."You've got to be kidding!?" you said in shock. The same lie that had started your journey... the same lie that had brought you into a war... It was now a reality! As you smiled into his cheery eyes, you decided to spare not another moment and kissed him lovingly. He was surprised... but not displeased at this sudden sign of affection!"I wanted to tell you so badly... before we disappeared that I love you..." he cooed. You blushed a deep red, but didn't look away."I know... I want you to know that I've always felt the same way... I guess you always have been my Guardian Angel."(THE END)I hope you've all enjoyed reading this story as much as I've enjoyed writing it! SQWEEE!!! You all thought I had forgotten, huh? Nah, I'm just busy... and sick... and sorta lazy. ^-^ WOW! Looks like you've finally been saved by your band of... questionable friends... but can you escape before you're caught AGAIN!? (Well, probably not since at the very end it's quite obviouse someone has seen you...) Will we ever find out Zachariah's hidden past!? (I'd hope so, since it would be pretty sad to put it into the plot unless we do...) And can this story get any lamer!? Is lamer even a WORD!?
