It's been a long time. I shouldn't have left you...
...without a strong beat to step to." - From "Soul" by Eric B. and Rakim

What's up peoples? The sky and the ceiling, you say?

I haven't posted here in forever and I've been doing stuff too. Here's a little run down of my activities.

---------------------

Cosplay picnic:
It was a nice sunny day and the grill flames were high. The pinata was full of candy and we got a nice group pic.

Otakon:
Lots of fun, got to room with new people. I missed hanging out with my girl Kiwi but we all made it through the weekend. I dressed up as Shun Morihata from Shingu on that Saturday. Of course no one knew who I was except for the people who were watching Shingu in one of the Video rooms. LOL!

Superior Clean-up:
We cleaned up the back room of Superior Comics in Dover to have larger, dedicated meeting space (with a decent bathroom).

DAS Radio:
DAS has (if I remember correctly) 2 more streaming audio DJ's with online radio shows throught the week. Plus streaming DAS audio anytime you want to hear it. Check it out! (^_^)

DAS Halloween Mini-con:
The DAS Halloween Mini-con was packed this year! It was a lot of fun. Good food and good friends. I went as an "over zealous con-goer" - I had all my con badges around my neck and buttons all over my shirt and cat ears. I was going to go as a banana and have the "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" song playing on my person but Matt D. threatened bodily harm if I did that. LOL!! Then I saw a Speed Racer Costume but I didn't get that costume either. I did find a "Things You Need To Know About Chuck Norris" shirt at the costume shop; so it wasn't a total loss.

In hindsight I should have gotten the Speed Racer costume. It was a nice costume for only $40 and I could have worn it at Zenkaikon and loitered around Corine Orr and Peter Fernandez. (^_~) Which brings me to Zenkaikon.

Zenkaikon:
Wow! It went better than I thought it would. I had a lot of fun. Luckily things worked out for the most part. It helped having VGX in the same building. I felt fortunate to get the opportunity to experience VGX. This year was a good experience and I think next year will be even better.

DAS Meetings are resuming for November:

DAS Meeting at Superior Comics, Dover takes place this Saturday, 11-11-06 at 2:00 pm

The DAS Pennsylvania Meeting, 219 Mill Street in Bristol will also take place this Saturday, 11-11-06 at 2:00 pm.

The DAS Meeting at Brandywine Library, Wilmington takes place next Sunday, 11-19-06 at 2:00 pm.

And if you miss all of those meetings there just might be a DAS Omake meeting at the end of the month. We'll see what everyone's Thanksgiving holiday schedules are like. (^_^)

Check out www.DelawareAnimeSociety.com and Delaware Anime Society on Yahoo! Groups for details because I could be all wrong. (^_~)

If you missed Zenkaikon 2006, stay tuned to www.Zenkaikon.com for details about 2007! It'll be bigger and better! (^_^)

Also, want to see pictures of the stuff I've been gabbing about? I know you do. Don't front. Check out my Photobucket albums.

All of the albums are clearly marked. Click on one and let the emotion envelope you. Or just laugh at the goofy looking people. Whatever floats your boat. (^_^)

Peace to the Middle East and all over the world.

Typing my name made me remember a new name I came up with at Z-con. "Hentai_Nai" LMAO!! It was funny to me, Tim and Jim but I guess you had to be there. (^_~)

Not familiar with what you need to know about Chuck Norris?

Well check this out. Reader discretion is advised.

Wait. There's more!!

OMG!! I forgot to mention NewTypeUSA's November centerfold is the best centerfold they've had (IMHO) since they had Kenshiro from the New Fist of the North Star!

It's Ban and Ginji from Getbackers manga!!!

And they look H-O-T-T, HOT!
(Nostalgic nod to the show "USA High")

The centerfold definitly has yaoi-licious flavoring.

It's so good I had to frame it. Not a plastic frame either. I went for the cherry wood to match my living room furniture (frames were 1/2 off at JoAnn's).

They have open shirts, matching earings and manacles with chains.

Yeah. It's like that.

If you are into bishounen (who isn't?) then you would want to get the November NewTypeUSA. It's worth it just for the centerfold pic.

Oh yeah. It also has some good articles, fanart, industry information, a DVD, manga insert and their monthly contest too.

Love, kisses and hugs (^_^)
