   Is this dude for real?
Take a look HERE.

Some moron builds a website criticizing TechTV but, you should read what he has to say about anime and anime fans............

Has somebody ever called you "loser" or "scum" for liking anime? I have a few times but, the person who made the site I just mentioned(freewebs.com/mikebloom) has a very unhealthy animosity towards the anime community. Take a look for yourself. It's probably stuff you heard before but, this guy has some serious issues and he needs help really bad.

An anime flash game that isn't hentai?!
I've seen a lot of fanmade anime games and cartoons and most of them were hentai. I downloaded the Love Hina Date Sim RPG and I actually love it. It's got alot of nasty language but, it's not hentai. It may be a date sim but, it's also a turn based rpg. If you piss one of the Hina girls off, you're in for a fight. This is a fun game to play and you can download it for free! The file is in Macromedia Flash format so, it shouldn't take too long to download. What could be better than a free non-hentai game?! They also have an EVA date sim and thankfully, it's not a hentai game either. You can download the game from forkheads.tk or you can play it on the web at Newgrounds
Macromedia Flash player required.

   It's a girl!
Yes! On December 31st at 9:45 pm, Michelle Lee Higland was born. Michelle is our first child and now, I'm a father at 22 years old. I can't think of anything else to say right now. I'm going to end this post and go hold my daughter. She's a beautiful girl and I just want hold her in my arms and I want to kiss my beautiful wife all over her face. I'm extremely happy and lucky to have two beautiful(my wife and my baby girl) girls living in my home!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I most certainly did.

   Merry Christmas!
I haven't had much time to post here lately but, for now, I want to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy holiday season to you and my friends. Now, go out and spread holiday cheer to all of your friends, family, strangers on the street, and even your enemies. It doesn't matter if you are Christian, Muslim, Catholic, or part of any other religion for that matter. Good Will doesn't descriminate no matter what belief your values are based on. Go spread some cheer!

Dusted off my Dreamcast.
Today, I hooked up my Sega Dreamcast and played a few of my games. I also played a few SuperNES, a few NES games, and a couple of Genesis games on it. How did I do it? click here and find out. I dug up my Dreamcast after I found out that it can play roms of old games, and divx movies. It can even run linux!! If you have a Dreamcast and a cd burner on your computer, DCEmulation is a great place to learn what the Dreamcast can do. You don't even need a mod chip! If you're interested, definately check that site out.

FoTNS back on television!
I previously talked about Fist Of The North Star being shown on Showtime Beyond but after months of being off the schedule, it returns to television on a different network. Starz! has picked it up and will be showing the series on the Encore Action channel in January. This series alone is enough reason for me to upgrade my satellite package to get it. Encore Action will also air other anime such as Blood: The Last Vampire, Akira, and Metropolis. This news comes from ANN.

For those who have the Showtime Beyond channel...
I was looking at TV anime listings and I noticed what seams like a huge marathon of Dirty Pair on Showtime Beyond. I remember when that channel had Fist of The North Star and they ran every episode together in one huge block right before they dropped it from their programming. Does this mean the end of Dirty Pair on television? I hope not. Fist of The North Star and Dirty Pair have both been part of Sho-Beyond's schedule for over a year and each of the episodes have been re-runned to death but, I still enjoyed watching them. I was sad when they dropped Fist and I'm going to shed many tears if they drop Dirty Pair. Will they replace it with another anime? If so, what one? E-mail Showtime Networks or contact them somehow and tell them what you want on their channels!

   The future of anime?
I can't help being fearful of what the future holds for anime or any other cartoon for that matter. Disney has announced that it will be dropping the traditional animation and they will be going completely CG. Nowadays, alot of Japanese anime is CG also. I personally still prefer traditional over CG and having CG mixed with traditional doesn't bother me at all. I just can't find myself to appreciate an all CG cartoon and cell shadind really makes me sick. I'm not trying to totally bash computer animation, I just love a cartoon that has alot of time and effort put into it by being drawn by hand. Alot of time and effort goes into CG also but, for some reason, I turn away. It's a matter of personal preference and I just wanted to state it here. Maybe, I'll learn to appreciate CG as I see more of it but, I don't think I will anytime soon.

   Killin' time
You like Japanese PC games? How about FREE Japanes PC games? Games Japan has a nice selection of cool Japanese games and they are FREEWARE! The site is French but, you can click on the British flag and translate it. I've downloaded a few and they are actually fun. I just love anime style games and if you do too, check the site out.

I also mentioned earlier that I was watching Real Bout High School and I just finished it last night. The series was pretty good but, I have yet to find an anime that tops The Slayers or MKR. Now, I have to figure out what anime to buy next.

   Anime and coffee.
Since I have the rest of the week off work and my wife is visiting her mom in Florida, I'm finally able to sit and enjoy some nice anime. Today, the UPS man delivered the Real Bout High School box set that I ordered last week and I'm about to brew myself a pot of coffee(I'm a caffeine junky). It's nice to have this time to myself and I'm going to make the best of it. I'm going to lay on the couch in my pajamas, watch some anime, and drink alot of coffee. It dosen't get much better than this.
