Yo, musuko.
(Yo, son. = quote from Raizen from the YuuHaku manga)

Hello, everyone. I’ve noticed that I keep starting my posts with that. Maybe I’ll keep doing it. I really can’t think of anything else to say to start off with, so I suppose that’ll do. By the way, it is SakuraYume’s birthday today, so please visit her site!

I now know why my mom so kindly purchased a Saiyuuki CD for me for my birthday. I live on music. I admit that I am completely addicted to music. There usually isn’t a day that goes by without me having a song stuck in my head. I listen to music constantly… And knowing this, my mom gave me a Saiyuuki CD, knowing that I would be listening to it a lot, and therefore inducing an involuntary Saiyuuki obsession. (a small one, but I still know that it’s there) Grr at Mom. I was supposed to be obsessing about Hagaren exclusively, but no, I have to now have little mini-obsessions popping up relating to Saiyuuki, Fruits Basket, and Other Random Series. -_- That irritates me slightly.

But I love seiyuu-sama. They are so wonderful. =^^=

I also love the Japanese language. I am serious. You can do anything with it. You can make words and names mean two things at once. I love it. Kanji are wonderful. even though I should be studying more of them… There are so many… one must know around 2,000 just to read a newspaper. I think they’re infinite And the ending particles that add emphasis to a sentence when you say them at the end… You can express one’s personality through speech patterns alone. I love it. (This isn’t something that I’ve just learned. Just the first time that I’ve felt the need to rant about it.) And then there’s polite speech, and plain speech, and impolite speech. It’s all very wonderful. I think that maybe that’s part of seeing how different the english and Japanese versions are. There’s no way to show those little subtleties of Japanese in english, and when it gets translated, that little bit of the character’s personality gets lost.

Okay, end of Kanau’s rants of nothingness.

I think I’ll wander on LJ for the rest of the night… and, er, morning.

Thanks to all who comment and read.

I said that I was going to do shorter posts, but… I’m not very good at it… Sorry, it may be some kind of disorder.
