   Slaves/Birthday and Pirates
Back in the Southern United States, rich people had slaves. But what about the poor people? They had work to do too, so who did it for them? Their children did of course! Poor southern families would have many children so that the work got done. I got a taste of that today. Today is my sister's birthday, and at every step when something was needed I was told to go fetch it. It was terrible.

But on a brighter/gloomier side, I saw the Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest today too. There were only five other people in that big theater not counting myself and my grandmother. All of them were old except for me too. The only lady who didn't have a companion with her talked to me about the movie once we got out (I had pulled up the car so that it would be easier for my grandmother to get in). She said that there was a rumor about a singer from the Rolling Stones to play Captain Jack Sparrow's father. My question is, why are we meeting everybody's father? I know why about Will's father, since he was the connection in the first, but why Jack's father? I've heard this rumor before though. After the first movie came out and my friend told me that it was going to be a triology was the first time I heard it. But Will's father wasn't looking too hot. I wonder what Davey Jones is going to do to him. It looked that something was going out of Bootstraps' cheek the last time they showed him. Guess we'll have to wait until the next movie comes out. I also wonder when that's going to be. I know it took them a couple years for this one, but I'm guessing that's because the first one did so well that then they decided to make it a triology, so maybe it'll come out sooner than the second one did. Well, one can only hope that's the case.
