It's a post!

Hello everyone. I decided to kick my lazy butt to post something...

Our classes began last Saturday. It turned out to be a short-held one for accreditors needed students for their interview. I was a bit shocked - and at a panic. I have no idea what they'll be asking. Good thing I learned it was a panel interview, rather than a one one one type.

It seems that our Business Administration course is not yet accredited... And they are having it accredited for level 1. Yeah, I'm a bit shocked... I hope that it gets approved before I graduate, hahahaha...

It's raining a lot... I hear that a storm is approaching. D:

Also, I am refreshing myself with hard coding web pages... Darn you, Java Script! *shakes fist*

See you around!

Give me a break?

Yeah... I got a break all right... > >

So I woke up this morning feeling terribly sleepy. It was still a bit early, I decided to drink coffee while I eat breakfast. I usually don't drink coffee in the morning. As I was saying, I was sleepy, and it seems I was in auto-mode. You know, that semi-conscious state where you walk around half-awake... As I went to grab the sugar and add more sugar to my drink... Crash! I was awoken faster than a strong coffee could. I looked at my right hand and the sugar cover was left and sugar and glass shards were all over the place. O_O

Yeah... auto-mode can be dangerous sometimes. And I'll make sure to add a new command to myself... Always grab things with both hands when feeling terribly sleepy.

Also, as I was about to ride the bus (early for a change...) I noticed that I also forgot to grab a handkerchief... Wonderful. Good thing I got some tissues in the office... But still it ain't the same. Specially since I have been sneezing a storm up lately. *sigh*

I hope I live through this day, eh?

Also, classes start tomorrow. I got a class in the morning and in the late afternoon on Saturdays, and one on early Sunday afternoon. It's not a bad schedule. I just need to condition myself to keep awake for the three hours that my classes are running and pay attention. Hahaha...

I have also been terribly distracted by instructables.com. It got a lot of interesting stuff... some are pretty easy to make, some are too technical (like making a handheld out of your old NES). There are some that are too silly or useless but fun, but some are 'meh, that's not special...'. I'm trying to see if I can find something to make... So far, nothing... hahaha... Oh, I did find an easy to make self-watering plant pot made of water bottles, too. Although I haven't checked how easy or difficult it is, but if you're interested in making your own Portal Gun, there's one over here. ^_~ I don't think you can use it to teleport yourself somewhere, though...

Well, see you around...

I don't know what to do about this...

Now, to start off, when Ichi Haze first told me that she found her own wallpaper uploaded to a different website, which was still credited to her, I decided to search if my wallpapers are also uploaded somewhere in the internet in sites that I have nothing to do with...

And look what I found? My trunks wallpaper, was uploaded in this site... www.animeresimleri.com - http://www.animeresimleri.com/img2020.htm(I ain't linking... > >)

Now... while it has credited me and provided a link to my account... and also my signature was not removed... I'm not too sure how I will take this. I am a bit flattered that other sites have stolen my work. (wow, my work are worth stealing, eh?), but I am thinking that those stats of downloads and views could have been to my account's work...

I'm still at a border on what to do...

I don't know if I have other wallpapers that are in that above mentioned site... Or if other Otaku members have wallpapers over there...

I know that by placing stuff on the web, people are bound to distribute it. In a way, as I have mentioned earlier, I am happy that my work are being distributed... but I am not too sure if this is the way that I want it to be...

Have a similar incident happened to you? What did you do about it?

And speaking of wallpapers, I have made a new wallpaper, inspired by Beck. Thanks to all that have seen and commented on it. :D

I was made to hit in America

I just finished Beck today... Man, it's so late... I've been doing a marathon of the series for 2 days... Yes, I did take breaks, thank you...

My title was from the opening song, by the way. I like it. It's stuck in my head. The other songs from the series are also amazing.

So now I understand why Someguy wants us all to watch it. It's a pretty good series. :D

So, yeah... Go watch Beck if you haven't already. You're missing out on a lot! I'm going to sleep now... *yawns*

Wohoo!

I got my first news in!

That's the good part. The sad part - though totally expected - was that it was overhauled.

Hahahaha... I was never good at writing news, even back when I was in school working for our paper. I was better at writing feature articles and opinions... But I did not saw myself as above average back then... I guess I was just lucky that my writing was better compared to when I was in high school, and not enough people better than me at writing applied. Hey, at least I got a little taste of journalism, eh?

Among the stuff that I really wanted to do back then (and even now, I guess) was a documentary. I never got the time, nor the story to do one, though.

And man, I don't even want to be reminded of the time I tried writing sports news. It was awful!

So, yeah... for our news editor here in the O, I'm sorry for giving you more jobs to edit. :P But I'm hoping to improve in at least writing news bits.

Surfing down memory lane

I discovered my old website with the help of google. It was more of an accidental discovery as I tried searching for my current site.

The front page was shown, but the links no longer worked. Since I remembered my account name, I logged in angelfire once more and took a look at my files.

Man, they sure were ugly. It sent shivers down my spine looking at them. I compared my previous versions to my current one, and it was no match. I guess I improved eh? Too bad I can't go for a fully paid domain. I got no money to fund it. It would be awesome if I could create a site that could live on ads, if not member support, like this one we are all using. But portfolio and personal blog sites seldom reap in amounts...

I also remembered the URL for one of my friend's website. He was my main influence for web design then. We used to have angelfire accounts back in the day, before they decided to bomb every HTML file you got with loads of ads... Man, our designs back then were silly - not only that but the contents. I was laughing. It was fun.

Too bad I can't remember the other sites that we made. Projects were seldom linked to each other, you know?

Anyway, back to my topic, I now clearly remembered that my first website was not the one that I had remembered. My first functional site was not uploaded. I edited it a lot, and when I was satisfied, my first version was uploaded.

I wonder if kids these days still have the urge to create their own site outside of these community sites? Have you ever tried making your own site?

Ah, memories...

Lets sum it up

Hello everyone.

I was not able to post yesterday, due to some work that needed to be done. Well, let's do a little recap of the weekend.

It was neither too good, nor too bad. Although the bad stuff was the one that remained in me...

I decided to go ahead and buy the 2 available Beck manga volumes at the bookstore. Problem was - there was none to be found. D: Guess I'll have to wait for them to re-stock or something...

Also, I was about to enroll last Saturday for the next semester of classes. I was, at first, relieved to see that almost all the subjects that I needed were available. When I went in the office, I was disappointed to find out that there had been some changes (due to a change in the Dean), and I ended up with no classes available. I am hoping I'll be able to sort this one out soon. One of my classmates also have the same problem, and decided to talk with the dean regarding the schedule. I also asked her if she could include my problem - that is, open some of my subjects!

In other news, I pimped up my MAL list, both the Anime and Manga list. I took some code from those that have modified their lists, studied them, and modified them to my liking.

I also will be giving a copy of Gurren Lagann to a friend of mine. I have a feeling he'll like it. Hey, got to spread the awesomeness, right? :D

See you around!

Talk about ring-side seats...

A bunch of guys ran past the jeepney I was riding... Then the sound of motorcycle and a bunch of guys running after them...

A few quickly jumped on the jeep parked after us, which was almost full of people. It seemed like a bad move, for not only did a few guys jumped on and cornered them, a few of the passengers got involved and were hit by the fighting men.

When one jumped out of the window, one man outside who was waiting threw a rock at him. The rock was as large, if not larger than my fist... It seemed like a direct hit. The man next to me seemed shocked and lifted his feet in reaction. I was merely watching.

Then one was also cornered by the street corner. Two men were beating him up. One approached, and hit him with a skateboard. There was a loud thudding sound. On-lookers and drivers merely watched. My adrenaline was pumping. If any of them come near me - even though I am inside a jeep - I'll be prepared to defend myself. I knew what Thorkell the Tall (Vinland Saga) felt. It sent adrenaline pumping and felt sort of fun. > > But still, it ain't good.

After the guy was hit again by some wooden object, the men quickly boarded their motorcycles and ran off. The one that was hit stood up and shrugged it off like it was nothing. Yeah, I'll give him a few minutes for his adrenaline to wear off - then he'll feel it.

I seriously don't know what happened. At first I thought it could be a thief or a snatcher. It's common that the mob who catches a thief beat up their catch... But from what I hear from the people, they are guessing it's some kind of gang fight...

I was lucky. I almost rode that jeep that was infiltrated. Honestly, I don't know what I would have done if I was on there. I would certainly have defended myself if they stepped inside my personal space. That would have spelled trouble for me, for these gang-types around here like to take revenge when they are a big group. Sort of a coward's approach if you ask me. One-on-one is a more honorable way to fight...

During the entire ordeal, I was calm, yet prepared. The other passengers were freaking out. The crowd just watched. I sort of understand that it is best to stay out of the line of the punches... plus it's best not to step into something you have no idea what's going on.

Ah, kids these days... I should have brought my camera.

Give that worm some bullet holes!

Hello everyone!

Yeah, I got a lot of accomplishment from my middle-of-the-week vacation... [/sarcasm]

Basically, got some anime and games, plus some sleeping placed in my spare time. Though I woke up this morning feeling really sleepy and tired. It was like I was in auto-mode. I could have sworn I would have ended up face-planting myself on my breakfast from the drowsiness... (and now I remember that scene from One Piece where Ace fell face-first on his plate...)

I also managed to finish Lucky Star.

Now then, I got the idea to make a Graphic Worm, so here it is! My latest entry after a few months...

"Squeak softly and carry a big boomstick"

Sorry, I can't remember who gave that caption from the caption battle... XD

See you around!

So I'm out...

I'll be gone for tomorrow. We got some holiday! Yay. Middle of the week holiday may not be that fun, but I'll welcome any day off I can get...

If I'm not too lazy and not too distracted with games and anime (which has a high probability), I might get to draw something. Michi showed me some interesting CG art, and I feel inclined to do something...

And today was a busy day, too... *sigh*

So, yeah... I'll be out. See you around,eh?
