Two heads! ...Of terror.
We should have wireless coming in sometime today, which means less sitting outside the house leeching off someone else's crappy network and more sitting in my nice, warm room playing music on nice, loud speakers. ^_^

Also, my school is having all-day parent-teacher conferences today and tomorrow, which is Boring Speak for "four day weekend".

Shinmaru: Oh yeah. Great stuff.

Mimmi: No way. My dog's been feeling down on her luck lately, and she's not going anywhere that I'm not.

But on that thought...

*looks for ticket prices to Sweden*

Rusty: Dibs on First Lieutenant.

I knows what I want for Christmas.

Outlaw Melfina: ...yeah.

Rusty: Every mouse should have a glowing, blue middle button. But until they do, I guess that makes us elite members of humanity.

Shin: Hence the screaming of joy, of course.

Raina: Yeah, we "borrowed" that chair from the university cafeteria. XD

And actually, the more I look at that picture of me, the less it looks like me, lol. It's about damn time we get more accurate hologram systems up and running.

Living kryptopie
Pictures! (Finally, lol)

They turned out really awful, though. I guess the disposable camera I was using was really old. Nevertheless, here they is.

First one is just a shot of my room. Notice my awesome papasan chair there on the left. My dog CC (there on the right) likes it, too.

Here's another view of my room. The giant mass that the fan is leaning against is my dresser.

Last room pic. It's an awful, awful closeup of my computer desk. CC also likes lying around under there, when I don't have the chair pushed in.

This is easily my favorite one. CC plugging the best movie evarz. You can tell she loves it.
EDIT: Big ol' double-yoo tee eff to the otherwise perfect people at ImageShack. Give me my picture! >=O
EDIT II: Er, nevermind lol.

The pic of me didn't turn out very good at all; I look all weird and high. But I guess that's not an all too uncommon thing among a lot of people, lol. So on that note, here's my incredible excellency.

Give werebaboon happiness, or give him death!

X-Treme Backgammon
First off, everyone go find some stuff from Buzzcocks and listen to it. Especially "I Don't Mind", if you can.

And yeah, I got the pictures back, but I left them in the big truck up at the uinversity when I was doing a catering event. I've gotta go rescue them tomorrow, if they're still there.

I've developed some new ideas for my ideal website, too. I'll have to post them whenever I get around to it. Which, even though I'm sitting here already typing up a post with nothing else in the world to do but keep typing, isn't now.

*deep breath*

*SIGH OF CONTENTMENT*

Yesterday evening I walked to a coffee shop that 's near my house to do some homework and use their wireless. I found it to be all in all a very, very enjoyable experience. I can't tell you why, exactly, but I felt extremely satisfied coming out of there, even though all I did was sit a at a table, download some songs, drink some Dr. Pepper, and do my math. I think listening to copious amounts of ska had something or other to do with it. In any case, I went back there again today, and was equally happy. Maybe even more so, because I got some chai this time, and it was delicious. I'm thinking of making this a habit, maybe.

Along similar lines, it's been getting colder around these parts, and I'm beginning to remember why I like Winter so much. (Besides it not being Summer, that is.) I think Winter is an incredibly comfortable season, because it provides the absolute best conditions for staying indoors and lying on your bed doing nothing. If that doesn't rule, then I don't know what does.

And, oh, what else? It's a time of the year when the sun finally relents, and is like, "Oh, fine. Forget you guys, I'm going to stay up here behind the clouds," and we're (read: I'm) totally ok with that, because it was just a few weeks ago spending every day blaring itself into our eyes, demanding that we bask in it's glory.

But now that it's finally starting to bugger off, the world has sort of condensed, and everything is getting continuously cozier. It's phenomenal.

Ba dum ba dum
I think we could develop a lot of words that are, to one degree or another, insulting if we used the prefix "jack" a lot more.

"Hey jackdoor, you owe me money!"

"Move over, jackfish!"

"Bugger off, jackpants."

Mimmi: "Whoooopaaa". There aren't words to describe how funny that word is. There just aren't. XD

Shinmaru: Oh. Ummm...

Whoops.

As a token of my apology, I promote you to Moustache Man.

MysticSnake: Indeed. *nods*

Mimmi: Um, no. lol. *is too young to remember anything cool, and is also rather baffled as to where that comment came from XP*

Alan: Yeah, that's the point I was working towards. You'd have to keep that idea on a very small scale, with only a few friends or family members and only when needed. Still, it's an interesting prospect. *Gets the awesome idea for a sci-fi story about a human-like alien race who have done this, and basically operate like a big, single-minded, supergenius swarm* That would so make millions if I published it.

Two ideas
1. You know how they say that we only use 10% of our minds or something? Well, I'm sure that that's false information and all, but I'll bet it was derived from something that was more or less true. And if so, one way that we could fill up all the empty space in our skulls--however much we really have--is by planting satellite receivers in our brains (not with the entire dish and all, obviously) and using them much like computers, where all the useful knowledge that you've collected in your life is beamed up and shared with other people, who are also sharing their information with you.

Before anything else, let's think about all the wild benefits of this: the language barrier is undeniably shattered, if only because you don't even need to speak when you already know via satellite that the man in front of you wishes to take out a loan, you know every computer language (no more elitist übergeeks. Ohhh yeah.), etc. What if your friend suddenly keels over? You've got the medical expertise to make a proper diagnosis, and there's no need to call 911 because they already know, and they sent out an ambulance exactly 1.27 seconds after your friend hit the floor. And school? Gone, baby.

However, the most important thing to think about with a prospect like that is security, so your credit card numbers and such aren't stolen simply because you know them, lol. That would have to be monitored manually, probably, by hooking up your head to a computer and checking off what you do and don't want other people to know, or something along those lines. Like a gignormous, wordwide filesharing service, is how you could best sum it up.

Still, the fact that people would be sharing information such as how to hack a bank account in the first place would nix this idea, unless it was restricted to private networks of your friends or family, and maybe some official networks put up by places like CNN and colleges. So if you're talking to a friend and they want to know how to do something, you can just set up a private mental network right quick, put only that information on it, and shut it down when your friend gets it.

2. Oakley made a pair of sunglasses a while ago that had a very small mp3 player in them (as you can see in the picture, they're actually not too hideous, especially if you get some pics with people actually wearing them). When I was thinking about this one night, I saw my dad take his cellphone away from his ear to check his reception, and I thought about making a pair of sunglasses/glasses that connected remotely with a cellphone on your dashboard or in your pocket.

That's already in place with all the headsets and everything they've got nowadays, but what really makes this idea unique is the next part: the lenses would display in, say, the top left corner your battery and reception, while in the top right is the person you're connected with and the connection status. This way, you don't even have to take the phone away from your ear. It's possible, too, because some company had done something remotely similar with a clear display on a bicycle helmet before (it showed the speed, distance traveled, and things of that nature).

Hangin' down at Dino's
The Wal*Mart here doesn't carry disposable digital cameras, apparently, so I'm currently taking a bunch of shots (yes, including myself, Raina =P) on a normal disposable I found lying around the house. When I get those developed, I'll scan them in after school some day. We'll see when I can get that done.
