   OMG

Hey all! I'm baaaack! :D Can you believe it?

A lot's happened since I left.. I've moved. I celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years. I've inserted new recombinant DNA into an E.Coli bacteria. XD

So.. yeah.. lots of fun-filled stuff. ^^;

Anyway, as you probably noticed, I revamped the site. Made it all lovey-dovey for Valentine's Day. haha. I'll change it to something more anime-y once the holiday passes. But, you know, I figured it was so close to the holiday, that I might as well be somewhat festive. XD lol, I have no idea.

I just finished Shuffle! a few weeks ago, when I was recovering from a cold. I must say, that is one of the most random shows ever. Literally, like, all the main girls have dual personalities in one way or another. Talk about weird.

I have quite a few other anime that I would like to watch. But I have this weird inability to watch anime unless the first few episodes REALLY catch my attention. O-o It's weird, I know. But I've got this list of about 30 anime that I've already started chipping away at. By the end, I'll have watched 916 episodes if I watch them all [not including the anime I watched before the list, that is] It includes shows like Wolf's Rain [Which I read and I've heard is AMAZING] Ginban Kaleidescope [Which I started watching and I think I'm gonna enjoy] and other such shows. :D

My friends and I are hoping to go to another Anime Convention this year ^_^ Woot! But, of course, it comes at a suckish part of the year. Whatever. We're determined to go! XD Unfortunately, we're not cosplaying this year... although I wish we could. We decided we're gonna save up and do a full-out adventure in a year or three. XD You know, go every day, do cosplay [complete with actual costumes this time. XD and probably wigs and stuff]. Buy lots of stuff. XD Yeah. We're just gonna.. go for it. Go all-out crazy. I hope the convention becomes like.. a ritual or something. XD haha. That'd be so awesome!

Anyway, I suppose I better get back to my AP Bio textbook, which is viciously calling my name. XD Hope you guys are all doin good and I'll try to go visit your sites sometime within the rest of the week! :D

Questions:
1) What'd I miss? How's it goin? :3
2) Valentine's Day: Love it or Hate it or Just don't care?
3) What anime would you recommend to me? [so that I can either make sure it's on the list or add it if it's not :D]

Hello

Hello everyone...

I know.. it's been a really long times..
Weeks? Months even?

And what am I here to say to you? ^^"

I'm leaving. For now.

I really don't have much to say... and school starts soon so I'll be really busy with that and field hockey. Not only that, but things are getting really busy with the new house. So... I don't think I'll be on any more often than I was all summer..

I'm sorry... If you want to take me off your friends list, I totally understand. But hopefully you'll all still be here when I come back!

Until Next Time

   Welcome To Venus

Hey everybody! =D

Well, there IS a reason for my.. strange subject line today. XD Here's the story behind it.

So yesterday we had a thunderstorm semi-continuously for maybe.. 4 or 5 hours. It started off with just some really high winds; it was really cool. When it finally started raining, my mum told me that she thought there was hail coming down too. I was like "What the heck, hail in summer? That can't be right." But we looked out on our deck, and sure enough, there was hail bouncing off of it. o-O How weird is that? Anyway, there was some thunder and lightning, of course, and then it kind of slowed down a lot so that it was just a little rain. But later in the night the storm picked up, and there was a TON of heat lightning that accompanied the regular lightning. And a lot of the regular lightning was happening between the clouds, so it was almost like strobe lights; just a constant flashing with the occasional lightning strike and an almost continuous roll of thunder. It was SO COOL! My dad and I joked that it was like being on Venus, without the crushing atmosphere. XD

So yeah. ^^" That's my story. lol

There's not much else to say. I tried painting the other day and sucked at it horribly. But yesterday I sat down again and was like "Alright, I CAN do this. I just have to start with something simple!" So I decided to paint the three basic shapes: the sphere, the cube, and the cone and shade them all. I used different colors for each shape, too, to practice my blending skills. And I gotta say, for someone who can't paint, I think I did a pretty okay job. ^_^

Anyway, that's pretty much it.

Instead of questions, I'm going to post up a song. "Kizunairo" by Cheico Kawabe (The song I asked about the other day.)

If you can listen to the song (I know that some people's computers/Internet prevents them from being able to listen to it.) tell me what you think of it! ^^

   Adventures

Hey everyone!

/WARNING: long field hockey ramblings to follow. feel free to skip over them if you want./

I'm back from field hockey camp. It was a lot of fun. I really think I did improve a little bit. ^^ I think I am on my way to becoming a better goalie. w00t! And while I was there, I got a goalie stick. It's sooo cool. It's black, blue, and silver Penn Monto. :D I love it.
ok, quick background of last year's camp experience so you'll know what I'm talking about:
Last year, before I went to the same camp, I went to another field hockey camp earlier in the summer and I ended up hurting my IT band. (It's a muscle that basically goes from your hip all the way down your thigh to your knee. It's usually associated with Runner's Knee.) It made it so I couldn't walk and I had to go to physical therapy. It was better by the time I went to this camp, but I ended up hurting it again while I was there. x_X so I missed out on most of the camp last year, which was depressing.
ok, background history: over. XD
Anyway, so this year I was SO happy that I didn't re-injure my IT band and that I was able to play this year. I was really nervous that something would happen. >.> But I survived! ^^
Unfortunately, the last day (yesterday) I had some soreness in my upper leg. And by the end of the day, I had pulled a muscle in my thigh; I'm pretty sure it's my quad. <.> So now I have to ice it and rest it and stuff. It's not too bad today; it was worse yesterday. Anyway, hopefully it'll heal quickly and without the use of PT. ^^" But it's all good. I still had fun and it's not like my injury kept me from playing yesterday. ^^

/Field Hockey ramblings over/

Alright, onto something else! ^^" lol

I'm really hoping to try and improve my painting skills. I've never really been big into painting, but recently I've been thinking about it a lot, so I'm hoping to be able to do some before summer break is over.

I'm also probably going to be starting another anime series soon. I have a sudden urge to watch Rozen Maiden. That looks pretty good to me. And it's one of the ones on my lists of Anime to watch. XD And it's only 12 episodes long, so I should be able to finish it fairly quickly if it is good. :D

Well, sorry for such a long post. ^^"

Questions:
1) Can you paint?
2) Have you watched or heard of Rozen Maiden?
3) Do you know the song "Kizunairo" by Chieco Kawabe?

Again, sorry for such a long post everyone! Hope you have a good day. ^^

   Randomosity

So there's really not much for me to say today... ^^"

I've been learning Japanese recently. I'm working on reading mostly, right now. The program I'm using is supposed to teach you languages like you learn your first language. It's pretty cool. :D

Oh! For those people who wanted to join that Werewolves vs. Vampires site... here's a link to it. But this is the link to me biting anyone who wants to be a vampire. If you want to be a werewolf, you'll have to probably click on the "register a new account" link so you can join the other race. ^^
(http://world6.monstersgame.co.uk/?ac=vid&vid=114232441)

Aaand... I start camp Sunday. It's Sunday through Thursday so I probably won't post until Friday... Sorry guys!!

Question:
1) What's your favorite song?
2) Do you rise early or sleep in late? (O_o that was random..)
3) Would you eat termites? (What if you were offered $100 to eat one?)

   ^w^

Heya.

So, ice cream beat out sherbet in the question yesterday. I gotta say that I agree. Ice cream is better. Sherbet is good on occasion, though. =d

(Feel free to skip this paragraph if you want. XD)
Ok, so now that we know that fact, there's always the question of which is better: the vampire or the werewolf. (I know this is really random, yes. XD) There's a site and it's the battle between Vampires and Werewolves. Wanna join the war? =P PM me if you do and I'll send you the link. ^_~ haha. *Blatant Advertising* XD haha, just kidding. [No purchase necessary.] ;)

Anyway, back to the rest of the post. The real part of the post. XD

I've been playing this game. Lost Chaos, it's called. It's a lot of fun [for me, anyway]. I mean, I'm not that good at it [I suck at these kinds of games] but I still think it's cool. My rogue kicks butt. XD And my healer is quickly gaining levels. I just need to level up once more and I can start learning a lot of other things. Like how to heal other people. >.> haha.

I also got another issue of an anime magazine. And it has a list of manga that's coming out next month. And... there's this series that I found that's all about field hockey. And the second book is coming out next month. I'm excited. XD I don't own the first one, but I started reading it. It's pretty funny so far. :D

Ok, this was a suckish post, I know. I'm sorry.. >.> I got nothin to talk about really. x_x I'll try to have a better post tomorrow.. or the day after.. XD

Questions
1) Have you heard of Lost Chaos?
2) Do you play MMORPGs? (Massive Multi-player Online Role-Playing Games)
3) What's your opinion on ferrets?

   HP-7

So, I got Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on midnight, like the fiendish fan that I am. XD I ended up having to wait outside this year; the bookstore was already filled to capacity by the time we got there. Luckily for us, we weren't THAT far in line. Unlike some people. ^^" And there were easily over 1,000 people in line by midnight.

I've finished the book, too. But I promise I won't give any spoilers. There were a few sad parts, but unlike Emiko, I couldn't cry for any of them. >.> I have a weird inability to cry for books or movies. I thought this one would crack me. XD Maybe the movie will. Haha. My only thing was... I didn't find the epilogue totally necessary. It wasn't bad or anything, but.. yeah. ^^" Whatever.

Anyway, that's that! ^^ That's my Harry Potter Filled Post for today. :P

Questions:
1) Did you get the new HP book?
2) Have you heard of the author Scott Westerfeld?
3) Um... Sherbet or Ice Cream? ^^

   Rants and Raves

Anyone else hear of the massive copyright infringement acts? Well, supposedly, someone who [legally] got the new Harry Potter book out is typing it up and selling it or something. [Jerk] And also there's supposedly a few people who work at bookstores who got their hands on a copy of the new book and, after quitting their jobs, decided to sell the new book on E-bay or something. [Jerks] This makes me very angee. That's just plain.. mean!! >.< Not to mention that it takes business away from printing companies [not that they WON'T get lots of cash from this release anyway but still.. ] and it's also, like I said, copyright infringement.

*cough* Anyway, enough fuming. Let's see. I'll answer questions before continuing I suppose. [All two of them!! :P]
KyoFanatic13: My favorite season would have to be... Fall. :D What's yours?
EmikoMai: I'm glad you think you knew it was your birthday. XD Anyway. I'll explain my doubt in the next paragraph.

Alright, onto another topic of conversation. Crossplaying/Cosplaying. My friends and I are thinking of going to another Anime Con next year. And we're planning on either Crossplaying or Cosplaying again. I was having a hard time deciding who I wanted to go as. [I figured it'd be better to decide earlier rather than later.] It finally hit me that I should go as one of my favorite characters from D.N.Angel: Argentine. I mean, he's so cool. Just so.. blank. XD And even though he's not really known [I haven't found pictures of anyone who's gone as him before] I thought it'd be cool anyway. Even if people didn't recognize me. :D *cough* Anywho... Well, last night after looking at some The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya amv's and listening to some of the songs off the show's soundtracks, I started to doubt my decision. There were so many cool characters from Haruhi that I could go as! I mean.. Kyon.. Itsuki... Yuki... Mikuru..Haruhi... They're all so cool!! *sighs* So I've started thinking I might go as someone from Haruhi Suzumiya. I mean... their costume WOULD be easier... but.. but... Argentine is still so cool!! <.< Gosh, I have issues. XD Anyway, I'll let you know who I decide to go as... when I DO decide, that is. XDD

Ok, sorry for the long rants today.. >.> I didn't really intend for either of them to be so long. ^^" Haha.

Questions:
1) Did you hear about the Copyright Infringement jerks? (Haha, don't you love my way of putting it? XD)
2) Would you rather cosplay or crossplay? (Or, if you've gone to a few cons dressed up, which do you tend to do more often?)
3) Have you ever head of the band/Do you listen to the band Coldplay?

   The Boringness of Jikan Aoi

So, I finished The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya today! ^^ I watched it in broadcast order (there's like.. three different ways to watch it. @_@ haha) and I thought the ending (which happens to be Episode 9, instead of 14) was really cute! ^_^ It's a good show. Now I'm onto either Venus Versus Virus or Ginban Kaleidoscope. I'm not sure which one I'm going to watch first. ^^"

I honestly have to say that in Haruhi Suzumiya, Yuki Nagato is probably my favorite character. She's totally unresponsive. And she's... awesome. Yeah. XD I'm contemplating cosplaying as her for the con next year. Je ne sais pas.. (I don't know)

Well... that's pretty much it.. <.< Boringness, as usual... ^^" Gomenasai.

Questions.
1) Have you heard of/watched Ginban Kaleidoscope? (Did I already ask this? o_O)
2) Did you know that Emiko's birthday was the other day?! Happy birthday Emiko. ^^
3) Um... ask me a question! ^^"

   o_o

So I finished Peach Girl today! Such a good ending. Although I know there's fans of the other coupling that it could have ended with, I'm glad it ended with the couple that it did. :3

I also started watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya today. Ohmygod... there is possibly no adjective on the planet to describe it. Haruhi is just... Haruhi! XD Oh well. It's very good. :D

I dunno if I mentioned it earlier, but while I was on my trip out of the country, I got my hair braided. Apparently they can stay in for a few weeks (I've had them for about a week and a half) but I have to take mine out today because one of the bands on one of the braids snapped. It's still kept the braid in, but.. it probably won't for much longer. Oh well. It should be interesting to see what it'll look like when I take it out. XDD

Hrm... I think that's pretty much it. So ends another boring post of Jikan's week. ^^"

Questions:
1) Have you heard of or watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya?
2) Have you ever gotten your hair braided?
3) What's your favorite summer-time food? =d
