Chap. 9!
Chapter 9

Suki and Aki were petrified. They had just watched their own deaths being played out, like a DvD. The Prophet saw the grief in there eyes and said, "unfortunately, this is your fate. Fate will kill you if it has the chance, for it wants to carry out its own purpose. However, you can cheat Fate! You can still be alive, and succeed. This will take three things; an understanding that we have an uncontrollable situation, an undying trust between you two, and the willpower to survive. Should you have these things, you can cheat Fate, and you will live!" Aki looked at the Prophet again, and then back at Suki. Even though eight years had passed, they still felt the same about each other. Aki still loved Suki, and Suki had always said she had a feeling in her stomach that there was someone else for her, someone better, smarter, stronger. Someone that was better suited for her than Aki...And yet, she loved him. She just didnt want him to know, because he would tease her about it. Plus, if he liked her this much while she pretended to hate him, she could only imagine how distracted he would be if he knew the truth... Aki focused her back into real life. He said, "Wanna duel?" She had been wanting to kick somethings, or someones, ass all day, so she said "Sure." The Prophet said, "This is great practice for you two. Do you realize you have three more years to hone in your skills, then you must live a normal life on Earth?" Suki and Aki both said, "Yes" at the same time. They giggled for a bit, never really maturing much past a seven year old. They never had a father teach them important stuff that a man needs to know, like how to shave. And Suki was never taught important things for a woman to know, like why it is bad to bathe in the river naked with Aki. The Prophet waited until they were done laughing and thought *Jeez, I am the greatest Prophet, and I have been reduced to babysitting...* He sighed and said,"Ready?" Suki whiped the smile off her face and said, "Yes." Aki did the same. The Prophet said, "3...2...1...Go!" Suki reached down and grabbed some twigs. She told them to become a bow, and they followed. She then picked up a rock and told it to become a arrow, and it did. She ran over to the tree and asked for some poison from it, and the tree agreed to give her some. She coated the arrow with it, and started the hunt. In a duel, one person picks an Art that they would like to use. The other person can use any Art they want, but they must hide from the Hunter. Suki asked the dirt if it had been stepped on, and the dirt called forth a gofer to guide her to Aki. He was running deep within the forest, weaving between trees. The gofer took Suki to the river and then said to her, "I have no idea where he went from here sweety" Then burrowed deep into the ground, to sleep. Suki looked up, and saw a net. It dropped, and pinned her to the ground. "You Bastard! You tricked that gofer to lead me here!" Aki said, "No, I swear I didn't, but it did work out didnt it?" He grabbed her bow and admired her handy work. "Ah, you used a Rhubarb poisoning? That would paralyze my vocal cords for an hour or so. What were you planning on doing??" Suki looked nervously at Aki and said "Nothing!! I swear it! Promise!" Aki looked back at Suki, then said, "Your weird sometimes..." And walked away.

Chapter 8!
Chapter 8

"GET UP NOW!" The Prophet said, as he sprinted into the tent. "I have just put an earth shield up, but that can only last so long! You two need to run now! Dont worry about me, there are far worse things than death, and I am ready for them." The tent started to collapse, and you could see sand pouring in through the rips of the celling. Aki and Suki tore through the bottom, then raced outside. Suki used a Nature spell to entangle some roots to form a bridge, and Aki and her ran across it. Once on the other side, they noticed a giant snake. It hissed, and right before it ate Suki, Aki countered the snake with a blast of fire so intense it incinerated the snake straight to ash. "Thanks" Said Suki. "We need to keep moving" Said Aki. *He is always so uptight in times like this* Thought Suki. Aki ran down the hill, with Suki following right behind. Aki stopped abruptly, and screamed "Suki, stop!" As Suki ran right into a pit of spikes. The first spike that hit her rammed her right through her stomach. It went through her body, shattering her spine and coming out the other side. The tip glistened with her blood as she slid down the wooden spike. The second spike went right through her throat, causing her to stop breathing. She could no longer speak, but Aki could have sworn she said "Goooooooooodbyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyye" Aki stood there, watching the love of his life slide down two wooden spikes, and the worst part of it all was he felt nothing. He did not weep or feel sad. He felt like had watched a complete stranger die. He stood there, in complete silence, knowing that not even a healing spell could save her. He stood there looking at her beautiful body, and wishing he had said something else. It was too late now though, and he knew this. He continued to run, knowing what his mission was. He ran until he saw the high tower, and then he saw the weapon that would kill him. It was a special brew of chemicals that makes someone who is Pure Unclean. He saw the sniper lock him in his sights, and he watched the man pull the trigger. He felt the sting of the poison, and he felt his body shake as it flowed through his veins. He fell to the ground, at which a second sniper walked up. He was holding a real gun. It had a silver bullet, because it was deemed good luck to kill with one. The man aimed carefully, lined up his shot, and pulled the trigger. The bullet sliced through the air, and it hit him straight in the head. The bullet had entered his head through his eye, which was instantly liquefied. As the bullet exited his skull, fragments of brain were splattered onto the desolate wasteland. The boys fist was still clenched, wishing he had said goodbye to Suki, his love, one last time...

The Prophet through sand into the fire he had started on the ground. "This is what will happen should you not succeed..."

Chapter 7 in the story!
Chapter 7:

The Prophet walked into the tent and looked at both of them. He said, "I hope you two are good friends, because you are going to be meeting each other alot from now on. In fact, you are prohibited to communicate with anyone else but me. You may talk amongs each other, but people of your age do not need to know the things i showed you. That would only make there life worse. You are going to start training today, and you will not stop training until this bloodshed war is over. You will need to not only learn, but master, all 6 arts. We will start with the one we think you are suited for; ShapeShifting. We know that you are afraid of seeing those you love hurt, but we need to convince you to not fear that." Aki and Suki looked worried at him, as the Prophet pulled out his stave. It was not glowing green today, and as if he had read their minds he said, "Yesterday, to show you what i showed you, I needed power from the other world. Today, however, I do not need that. I am simply going to cast a fire breather spell on one of you." Suki and Aki were both worried at what he ment by this, as he spoke, the tent got warmer. Suddenly, Suki burst into flame. Both Aki and Suki started to scream, and before they knew it, the man had put her out with a water spell. "WHY DID YOU DO THAT!!??" Aki yelled at the Prophet. "She could have died, and you are just sitting there, calmly! This isnt one of your fairy worlds that you were talking about, this is real!!!" The Prophet smiled, "Heh, Real? What do you know about real?" Aki stood up, and walked over to Suki. He put his arms around her, to console her. "Look at what you did! She cant stop crying!" Aki felt bad for Suki, but relieved that it was not him who was caught on fire. The Prophet remained calm and said, "Douht Sel'Kreg Shalocus" Suki and Aki looked up at him, mesmerized by what he was chanting. His voice was smooth, and relaxing. It became less gruff, and once he had stopped, Suki and Aki had both forgotten about the pain they had felt. Then the Prophet spoke again, in his same gruff voice, "This was part of your training, and Aki you have failed. You are too attached to Suki, and this will cost you your life someday. Suki, as for you, I cannot say whether our not you passed, because your fear of fire is natural. We fear that in which we do not control, and fire is one of those things." As he crouched to be at eye level with the two seven year olds, he said "You two will learn healing spells first, seeing how i know you have mastered ShapeShifting. Healing is seen as an Acumenest spell, as they can make you feel better faster. However, all trainers of the Arts teach there pupils this talent, as it is useful when in pain. The trick is to not feel any attachment for that in which you are healing. Do not heal those out of pity, but rather those in need of it. Now watch." He picked up his staff. He pointed it at Aki, who jumped back a little. "Do not fear that which you can not contol, rather find a way to control it." He then used the Tragic Blight on Aki, who fell over to the ground. This evil spell takes the amount of love you have and clogs your heart with it. Aki grabbed his chest, and started to roll around. Suki freaked out, not knowing what was going on. The Prophet told her, "Just repeat the healing chant, and he will live. Dont, and he dies a painful death of agony." Suki was scared, and she knew what she had to do. She imagined Aki as the Prophet, so she would have no emotional attachment to him. She then repeated "Douht Sel'Kreg Shalocus" She noticed Aki in a little less pain, but not much. "You have to mean it! Really mean it!" The Prophet said. "Douht Sel'Kreg Shalocus! Douht Sel'Kreg Shalocus!" She shouted, but little happened. The Prophet saw Aki's eyes roll to the back of his head, at which point he said, "Sucolash!" Aki suddenly stood up, feeling good as new. The Prophet said, "I did not know how strong your love for Suki was, forgive me for that mistake. It will not happen again." Aki blushed, as Suki did the same. The Prophet stood up, looking winded, and walked out of the tent.

There we go!
Chapter 6

"Get off me!" Aki yelled. They had been thrown through time, and were now standing next to the prophet. "I tried to warn you, never touch the green flame at the same time. Someone always lands on someone else..." Suki rolled off of Aki, and with a slight groan, he panted. "Sorry about that" Suki blushed a little as she brushed herself off. "Lets move." Grumbled the Prophet. "Follow me" He said. Aki and Suki stood up, and what they saw next jolted them into reality. "Wha...What is this?" Suki said. "This? This is Heaven. You two and Saint Peter are going to be the only three people to ever see it while still being alive. Take a good look at it, because this is where the story begins. As you may know, in the year 2063, the Earth had become an unlivable place. So God decided to do one thing to fix that. He sent Seven Angels, called the Fallen Angels, to make it livable again. They worked day and night, but never succeeded. God had trusted them with great gifts, and because the Angels were lazy, they thought up a plan. They decided to make a new planet, to play God for once. They made it exactly like it used to be, back before the Oxygen was stolen. Thats a different story altogether tough. Anyways, these Angels made a bridge, connecting their planet to Earth, and there planet to the Heavens. This new planet needed a name, and the Angels fought over what to name it. They became so angered that each one used its gifts to destroy each other. There was one angel though, who decided not to fight. This angel told God of the other angels war, and God became very wrathful. He punished the Angels by not only making them remake Earth, but also bore 5,000 children. God called this race Pure, because they had been made by Angels. God noticed that each Angels own power had been put into its child, and to fix that, he locked the bridge." "Wait right there!" Suki said. If 'God' is so powerful, why doesnt he just kill the Angels?" The Prophet smiled and said, "In the old U.S.A. we had 500,000 bombs. With these bombs, we could level an entire country with a press of a single button. Why didn't we kill those we dont like?" Suki looked at him and thought. Then she said, "Because.....Then that would be mean. There were innocent lives at stake." The Prophet nodded "Thats the exact reason God didn't kill the Fallen Angels. It takes time to kill an angel, and God didnt want the to kill anyone who was innocent because the angels found out they were going to be murdered." "Oh ok." Suki said. The Prophet continued narrating what they were seeing. "Here is where a problem was formed. No one knows how, but some Unclean Filth managed to get into our planet. He reported what he saw to Earth. Sadly, Earth is not as advanced as we are. They do not embrace what they do not know, instead they fear it. They want to destroy us. That is where you come in. It will be your job, in 11 years, to move to Earth. You will be spies there, watching out for any signs of an attack." The Prophet pulled out his stave again and said, "Now, you must understand the Great Bridge in order to understand just how important you two are." Aki touched the green flame, and right after Suki did. "Hey, you did that on purpose that time!" Aki said as he pushed her off of him. The Prophet said, "Now is not the time for fighting, it is the time of learning. Now, the Great Bridge connects us to Earth. Because of this Bridge, we have been able to send ShapeShifters over to there Planet and keep watch. We fear that in 23 years, they plan a full scale attack on us. If we are right, they will be too powerful to hold off for long, and will easily take our planet. There is only so much we can do about the kind of weapons they now use... and how evil they are." Suki and Aki looked at each other worried, but they looked back at the Prophet. "Dont worry about that for now. Later on, i will teach you what the weapons do, but I do not want to overwhelm your mind right now. First you must learn the only reason why we protect this bridge: because if you fail your task, not only will the Unclean be taking over our planet, but they will also use our bridge to Heaven. Imagine that: An Unclean soul entering Heaven. The thought sickens me." Aki looked over and said, "But sir, Suki and I have stolen, we have done almost everything that you can do that is illegal! How can you see us as Pure?" The Prophet looked over and laughed a little. "You see, it's that exact reason you cannot see the second bridge. Only those who have remained Pure can see it." The Prophet sighed and said, "This is a lot to learn for one day. Lets go home and let you sleep. Im sure you will feel better when you wake up." Aki and Suki closed there eyes for only a second, and when they opened them, they were inside their tent, with there two sleeping bags right there, ready to be used. They laid down, thats it..... just for a second...............

This chapter is a little short, but dont worry, its just a transition chapter
Chapter 5:

"Before you can defend us and the Great Bridge, you must understand the existence of both. How much do you two know?" The Prophet had silver eyes, with a light blue streak in each one. "Not much" Suki said, and Aki nodded his head in agreement. "Well then, allow me to explain. But telling the story is not enough. You must understand it fully, as it is your destiny." He reached into his cloak, and pulled out a walking staff. The stave was a bright white, with a top that looked like fire. It was a strange fire, though, because it glowed green. "Touch the fire, and you will relive the moments as they happen.

Someone get me butter, im on a roll! XD

Chapter 4

"Heres a good spot to sit" Aki pulled out Suki's chair for her. "Thanks" She said. Aki pulled a chair right next to her and sat. "Well, theres a lot of food here, why not eat up?" Aki got up, walked away, and came back with two plates of food. "I grabbed you some of there amazing Salad. It didnt look good, but I guess it makes you smarter or something like that. I got the hamburger" "What does that do? Make you super strong?" Suki asked. "Nah, just tastes really good." Suki laughed. Aki started laughing with her. "Boy, if we are the ones the Great Vision was talking about, everyone is screwed." Aki couldnt help but laugh some more. "As if! I think that man was insane or something." Suki nodded. "Or maybe he just wanted us to stay for the feast?" She said. "Well, theres the prophet right there." Aki said. "Woah, it is the same guy! Maybe he wasn't insane after all..." Suki stared at the man from afar, and munched on her salad. "It is! Wow, this is creepy." A booming voice came over the crowd: "May I have your attention please!" The Ballroom was instantly silenced. "Ahem. Now then, for those of you who will leave here with an Art, congratulations! You have proven yourself to the Elder, and will start training immediately!" The sound of his voice changed from happy to supportive "For those of you who did not, there is no one else to blame but yourself. I need to talk to the Prophet for a minute to see if there is an ancient among us, so enjoy the food while i do just that." Everyone was now whispering, wondering who it could be, if anyone. Some people were bragging "Its me, i know it! My mom could have been a FireBreather OR an Acumenist!" Whether they did it for attention or if they were that dim witted, we dont know. "WHAT!?!?!?!?!" The booming voice shouted. "ARE YOU SURE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" "Well, ok!" The booming voice became very serious. "Ladies and Gentlemen, we are upon a very dark time indeed. The Prophet has just told me some dark news. The Great War will begin, because we have two Ancients in the Ballroom right now. It was thought impossible, but the Great Vision is being completed!" There was a total silence now, and everyone was in total shock. "The scariest part is the fate of the Great Bridge is in the hands of two seven year olds, both of which could not even master their parents Art. They are worthless, useless, deplorable trash shapeshifters!!!" He pointed to Suki and Aki. The booming voice went on, "These No go----" Out of nowhere, a mountain lion roared and pounced onto the speaker. He screamed in pain as the Lion got his revenge. The prophet smiled offstage as Aki turned into a human again. "Useless? Unable to master an Art makes us useless? Well then, how is that for useless?" Suki came down from the table, and stood next to Aki. A gruff voice said, "That speaker learned his lesson, at the price of his life. I can only pray that everyone else's lesson is far cheaper than his was." The prophet had emerged from the shadows and he stood next to Aki and Suki. "These two will train like never before, and when their time is up in 23 years, when there power is at the maximum that it can reach, they will defend the bridge, and they shall win." With that, the man turned and pulled Suki and Aki near him. He covered them with his cloak, and then he disappeared with them.

Rollin Rollin Rollin, Rawhide!
Chapter 3

Aki and Suki waked into the Ballroom, and noticed it looked diffrent. Gone were the earthy pillars, or the Fiery Curtains, and other festive decorations. In their place was a dark, candle lit room, with its size being doubled. Everyone sat down, and waited for the Elder to come. Then a chill ran down everyones spines as they sat. Out of nowhere, everyones worst fear erupted. Some saw spiders, some saw snakes, and others saw far worse things. Suki looked over at Aki, and closed her eyes instantly. Aki had done the same she noticed, and wondered what he saw. Little did she know they had seen the same thing: Each other dead. They both feared the same thing, and that was the death of a loved one. "Welcome! For today is the final Art day! We shall pick wisely who is to follow in our path of evil deeds." The Elder clapped his hands, and just as fast as the fear had came, it left. "Now then, as I noticed, most of you were afraid. That was the test right there. We wanted to see if you were worthy of the Art, or if you were going to give it a bad name. Honestly, about ninety percent of you failed. Those who have fear cannot embrace others fear as a weapon. I am now going to send those who could not keep there eyes open to handle the fear away." The students were enraged. They started to shout "Thats not fair!" One boy shouted, and walked onto the stage. "How dare you defy an Elder!" Shouted another. Soon a fight broke out in the crowd, a full out brawl. Aki and Suki had sat near the back, and they walked out, knowing they had closed their eyes. "Well this sucks" Aki said, as he kicked a rock. "Ya, we are great at doing the shapeshifting stuff" Just as they were going to jump over the Edge, a mans hand reached out and grabbed them by the shoulders. The man had a gruff voice, one that had seen many times of trouble. "You had best be not doing that" It said. Aki and Suki both turned around at the same time. "Who are you? And why not?" Suki asked. "I am the Prophet, and You are the Ancient Ones the Great Vision Foretold of." Just then, the man turned into a bird and flew away. "Woah, am I freaking out, or is he just a shapeshifter?" Suki said. "Well, only one way to find out: We gotta stay for the Great Feast" Aki said.

Chapter Two

"Welcome, to the Vast Ballroom! This is where the Art choosing will begin! Allow me to introduce myself. I am the Elder of EarthCarving, and I will be choosing my students today!" Suki had found Aki in the ballroom, and after a quick hug (They are only 7 right now, so nothing more than that... Yet...) they sat down. "Psst, this is going to be boring for us. Wanna go somewhere else?" Suki said. "Jeez, two minutes in and your already trying to get me in trouble. I remember why I like you so much! If we don't become first class ShapeShifters, who knows what would happen!" Aki teased. The two of them, with some people they had just met while sneaking out, made it towards the exit. "Wow, that looked boring. Thanks for getting us out of there!" "Ya thanks!" "You guys are the greatest!" The crowd of people were now huddled around Suki and Aki. "Whats your names?" They asked. "This is Suki and Im Aki" Aki said with a certain amount of power in his voice. "Ya, and were going to get married someday!" Suki said. (Remember, they are 7, and they dont know what a hell marriage is yet ^^) "EWWWW" All the boys in the crowd said. "Awww," All the girls said. "Suki, not now! Were busting out of here right now, remember?" Aki muttered under his breath. "Besides, you have cooties!" Aki said. Suki looked over, a little offended at how he was acting in front of other people. So to get him back, she gave him a big hug. Aki blushed a little and whispered "Ok, you know I still love you right?" There was a very quick pause, then Suki answered "Yes." They were now outside with the rest of the group. Only those who had planned on becoming EarthCarvers had stayed. A man had followed them and he said, "You may leave if you want. However, i sense a Ancient among you, and how do you plan on it being you if you leave?" Instantly, all the children but Suki and Aki had left back into the Ballroom. And so it was like this for the first 5 days of the festival. "Finally! Wake up Suki!" Aki said. They had set up tents near each other, and they had relied on each other to wake up. One day, Suki woke up first, the next Aki. Today had been Aki's day, and it was the day of the Art of the ShapeShifters.

The next chapter!
Chapter One

"Isn't she pretty?" Asked a kind, nurturing voice. It was female, and she looked just how every girl wanted to look. "Please, move for the Inspector honey." Said a stern voice. He, too, looked just how every man wished to. "Lets see here..." Said yet another voice. She picked up the baby, and after handling it for a few minutes said, "Shes not Pure, send her away!" The mothers eyes were filled with tears as the father was outraged. "Thats impossible!!!! Check again!!!" The inspector stayed calm and relaxed and said, "Sir, I have never made a mistake in my life. Now let me see the baby." He picked up the baby by its foot, and walked over to The Edge. He raised the child high, and thrust it down as hard as he could.

"AHHHH" Screamed Suki (Suki means beloved in Japanese) as she awoke. Her heart was pounding as fast as it could. She calmed herself down and looked over at the clock. 11:57, it read in red LED lights. She was about to lay back down when she remembered something: Today was her's and her best friend, Aki's , Birthdays. It was their 7th birthday. To a normal child, this would mean waking up a little early, eating a piece of overly decorated cake, playing some games, and then opening some presents. 11:58. But to Suki and Aki, who were both Pure and from the same Art, this was a big day 11:59. Both Suki and Aki are from the ShapeShifting art, in which they both are most likely to be put in. She was well prepared for this, as she had lied her entire life, stolen whenever she could, and made sure Aki did the same. They were good friends, making sure to keep the family Art alive. *This is going to feel weird* She thought. Just then, a flash of light shown in through the window. 12:00. The Calling to the Coming of Art had began.

Story
I guess that because i have no talent at drawing whatsoever, i am going to show people my story's. It would be cool if someone wants to illustrate it, but dont feel forced because i said that... Only if you dont feel like you have anything better to do, dont want to waste your time ^^! Ok, so here is the beggining, had to change some names to post it on here

Prologue

In this story, when you are born, you are divided into one of two groups: Those with and those without. People Who are born Unclean are thrown back to Earth, where a suitable mother is chosen. They live a normal life, and know nothing about those who are considered Pure. They are content with the life they live, and enjoy it. However, those who are born Pure have a mighty ability. You see, everyone who is Pure has a human life, in which they blend in and are not distinguished from those who are Unclean. However at the age of 7, a mighty Festival is thrown called The Coming Of Art. At this age, a child has shaped his or her destiny, and has shaped his or her life to what she or he feels is right. The Festival lasts for 7 Days, one for the 6 Arts: One day is deticated to the Art of Shapeshifting who have the ability to change there form at will. They become theives or liars. Never trust a ShapeShifter. One to the Art of Fire Breathing, whos great power was heat itself and the area around it. They are often ill tempered, and take out there aggression on anything in there path. Never fight a Fire Breather if possible. One to the Art of WaterStriding, Whos calm and tranquillity have managed them to gain the waters trust, allowing them to use it however they see fit. They are often calm, however are not good friends as they do not do anything exciting. Never ask a WaterStrider how there day went, as they will tell you every detail they have seen. One to the Art of Acumen, who have taken the idea of WaterStriding even farther, and have tricked Mother Nature into doing there bidding. Never walk alone in the forest with a Acumenist. One to WindWielding, ones who pleaded to God for an ability. Never challenge a WindWielder, because even though they are weak in appearance, they are of the strongest. They are seen as weak, however they have the most powerful weapon because God took pity on them. One to EarthCarving, who are those who work hard to gain an ability. Never tell an EarthCarver that they are lazy, for they are the exact opposite. During the first 6 days of the Coming Of Art, the children are chosen by the elders for what profession of Art they should uptake. Not every child is seen as mature enough, and some must wait even after they reach 7 Those who are then are to study diligently in there Art, to try to become an Apprentice of an Elder. That is Every Child's wish, is to become an Apprentice of the Elder, because that allows them to become Elders themselves when they are older. The Last Day, however, is the most Empowering of them all. Everyone Feasts. It is a time of celebration, but most importantly, the Prophet is sent forward to seek if an Ancient is among the children. An Ancient is the destined ruler of the Pure, and is seen as a Great power. To become the Ancient, you must have great power, power so strong that you can wield all 6 Arts. In the Times of Old, the Great Vision was made. It said that the end of the two worlds would meet when the prophet saw two Ancients in the eyes of the children. This was always avoided, until today. You are entering the story from a viewpoint of a son of two Shapeshifters and a daughter of the same.

This is the background info for it, comment if you like it ^^
