And the hits just keep on coming!

Anime Word of the Day
Bentō (弁当 or べんとう) is a single-portion takeout meal common in Japanese cuisine. A traditional bento consists of rice, fish or meat, and one or more pickled or cooked vegetables as a side dish. Containers range from disposable mass produced to hand crafted lacquerware. While bento are readily available at convenience stores and bento shops (弁当屋, bentō-ya) throughout Japan, it is still considered an essential skill of a Japanese housewife to be able to prepare an appealing boxed lunch. Bento can be very elaborate, aesthetically pleasing cuisine arrangements. Often the food is arranged in such a way as to resemble other objects: dolls, flowers, leaves, and so forth. Girlfriends often prepare bentōs for their male partner.

Opening Act:
Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are all ready to have a nice and relaxing weekend as well! Or at least mix some fun amid all the chaos. Unfortunately my holiday wasn’t quite as pleasant as I would have liked. On Wednesday I had a doctor’s appointment to check on the state of my broken leg. As some of you may recall I lost playing tag with a car and wound up with compound fractures of my little old leg. ^^ Don’t try this at home kids, its definitely no fun. Well anyway the doctor was thrilled at my legs progress and decided that since the pieces were sealed on their own now that he could remove the lovely metal bars that were holding my leg together and just let me have a cast. So I’m thinking…SWEET!! I’m on crutches and life is going to be great. Hmm so yeah my mind kinda blocked out the fact that first he has to remove these bars. Which he happily set up a surgery for and got me all prepped. Surgery…anything that takes place in a white room with people in masks should always result in me being unconscious not lightly drugged so I don’t feel pain. I really really don’t ever want to hear the sound of power tools being used on my body again! *shudder*

So after a couple of hours of chainsaws…ok they weren’t really chainsaws but they sounded like it…working on my leg. The doctor announces he’s all finished and he tells me he’s going to prescribe some pain killers because I ‘might’ experience some ‘mild’ pain from this procedure. O.o Key words…might…mild. So doctor why are you proscribing me with some of the most powerful pain killers I’ve ever seen. Even after my accident the dosage was smaller! Well about four hours later as the pretty drugs from the surgery wore off…I learned why all too clearly. Please kids…never…never play with cars and don’t ever cross the road without looking both ways. No living creature should ever experience pain like that…So umm yeah my absence for the past couple of days was because those lovely ever so lovely pain killers pretty much don’t stop the pain, they just knocked me unconscious so I didn’t have to deal with it. LoL

And now on day three of this lovely situation I’m starting to wonder just how long a person can put themselves into a drug coma before it’s bad for them? *giggles* Nah, actually today it’s all feeling a lot better. And I admit just not having all those horrible metal joints on my leg makes me feel better. No more straps and strange contraptions all around my bed either. Such a happy thought! I really wanted to do some after holiday shopping today but my roomies refuse to let me out of the house after the past two days…not fair! I’m going to miss all the great sales! ^^

New Works:
Well before my little fun above but after my last post I got myself into a bit of a wallpaper mood. Mostly because for some reason reading manga makes me want to make wallpapers. LoL So I put up quite a few wallpapers for Samurai Deeper Kyo and Black Cat. Two of my favorite manga series. They’re just so wonderful, I highly recommend them to everyone! ^^

I also posted a bunch of new e-cards, I hope those of you interested in those check them out and enjoy! ^^ I’m quite proud of a few of them and it’s always great to see folks enjoying them!

Epilogue:
Glad you guys liked my little ideas and I was happy to read some of yours as well! So many interesting things that can be done on a web page. Oh if only I knew a half of the coding that would be necessary. LoL

Well I meant to tell you guys all about my Thanksgiving excitement in here…but well considering I pretty much slept through it that would be pretty boring now. LoL Unless you wanted to hear about my really really weird dreams. Hehehe Nah…I didn’t think so!

Random Question: What is your favorite holiday movie or cartoon?

Richard Cansino’s Biography

Date of birth: August 10, 1953 in Los Angeles, California

Age:53

Other Names: Richard Hayworth, Vincent Hatcher, Edward Villa, Damon Phillips, Jason Bigley, Steve Davis

Occupation: Voice Actor

Did you know that Richard is often billed as Richard Hayworth because of his aunt Rita Hayworth?

Ok so if you haven’t heard this voice actor before then chances are you’ve never wanted an anime in English. This man has portrayed more roles than any other voice actor I’ve ever seen and he always seems to have the best characters to play with as well! He can make even the most minor side characters take on a personality and appeal that just makes you pay attention to them when they’re speaking.

Unfortunately he’s a tough voice actor to get a handle on since he works under so many different names in the business as well as in the video game and live action voice over realms. But still I find it well worth the effort to pay attention to his latest projects. He’s never managed to disappoint me yet! ^^ Of course maybe it’s just the fact he’s voiced both Kenshin and Legato, who are to this day still two of my fave characters in any anime series!

Just a short listing of his voice acting career.
