Hajime no Ippo
Well per the request of a few friends I whipped up a few quick walls from the boxing anime Hajime no Ippo. Well to be more precise I guess you could say I used the manga, but same old same old. LoL

   Latest walls...
Well for those of you who pay attention to such you've probably noticed I recently posted two walls for PoT. Starring Ryoma and Momo, these show the more casual side of Seigaku. Namely the fact these two spend way too much time eating fast food for having to work out as much as they do. LoL I"m doing a bit of a series on this subject so expect a few more of those types.

And my latest wall, I'm sure some of you folks have noticed the blonde beauty I just posted. For those of you (which is probably most) this is the lovely leader of the demons, Akram. The series Harukanaru Toki no Nakade - Hachiyosho - is honestly mostly a fluff piece. The plot isn't really all there, the characters aren't very well developed but they're all just so pretty I can't seem to stop watching the show. LoL How's that for a recomendation? Like watching cute boys who occasionally get into fights with swords and magic, then check this one out. If you don't...hmm then you probably want to avoid it! =)

Seriously though this was probably one of my hardest walls to do. This image was not only poorly scanned; (half of it was greyed out and black lined), but it was covered in text as well. So I honestly spent hours and hours recoloring the image and working out imaginery lines and imaging for it. So I hope you admire the view as much as I do!

   Landmarks!
Well I'm in shock, I just submitted my 60th wallpaper and I hit over 4000 downloads. How sweet is that? I just want to thank everyone for their support and downloads. I'm always thrilled to know folks are enjoying the walls as much as I enjoy making them.

So new ones, uploaded 2 from PoT as well as a rather fun one from Death Note. For those who aren't familar with the series, DeathNote is not an anime but a very very good manga. Its not the most action filled series but more of an involved psychological based one. Think of it as Murderer vs Profiler when both are the best at what they do. If you're rather odd like me you find yourself cheering for the "bad guy." LoL So of course this wall I made is of my fave bad guy Raito, otherwise known as the world's most proficient serial killer KIRA.

   Comparisons...
Ok, I have to bring this up because I just don’t understand why people think it’s necessary to make comparisons to anything that has a remote similarity to something else. LoL This actually came to me after watching X-Men 3. Now I’m sure you’ve either seen the movie or at least heard the reviews for it and I’ll say straight off; I enjoyed this movie. The end. Don’t try to convince me it sucked or the storyline was crap. I don’t want to hear it; I don’t honestly care why you think that. =) I enjoyed it. I’m not even going to try to convince you why it was good, doesn’t that make you happy? This little comment is not about that, it’s a question. Why should you have to judge a movie on what it’s based up? Why should you have judge an anime on the manga it came from? Why can you not simply appreciate and enjoy both of them?

Can someone explain it too me? Why something has to be better than something else? It is just some stupid competitive thing? Is that what it is? Maybe it just comes from my background I happily watch movies that are based on novels and I don’t expect them to be the same thing. I mean seriously how can you put together a 2hour movie from a 500+ page novel? It’s just not possible. I honestly watch the movie just with the hope that it’s a good movie, not that it’s a photocopy of a book I enjoyed. Sure I hope to see favorite scenes translated into the movie but it’s not the end of the world if it isn’t there. I don’t know I just can’t understand why people can degrade something that was done well just because it didn’t match what they wanted to see. I mean if something is done badly, horrible effects, bad acting, well of course that means the movie isn’t good. But judging something because the storyline differed from what you expected or believed should happen?

Oh well I guess that means I can happily go back to see X-Men 3 without having to be annoyed by other folks. Including my roomies, who at least were kind enough to remain quiet while watching the movie. LoL It was only afterwards I had to deal with them trying to convince me it was horrible. Of course they seem to think that I would enjoy any movie that Hugh Jackman went shirtless in…hmm they might be right about that actually. =)

But honestly this comes up all the time on the forums I visit, the comparison between a manga and an anime. Naruto and Bleach are huge ones for this discussion. Samurai Deeper Kyo is another one. I guess pretty much any anime/manga where the storyline shifts away from each other this comes up. I mean SDK for example is a great example of this. The anime and the manga could not be more different if they tried. LoL I mean the characters look the same and share the same names, that’s about as close as it gets. But you know what; I enjoyed them both. The anime I thought was funny, beautifully drawn and just fun to watch. And you know what…I enjoy the manga too! I think it’s funny, beautiful drawn, and fun to read…hmm sense a theme here? So what if they’re essentially a different storyline. Doesn’t that just mean I get to enjoy two things instead of just one?

Ok I’ll stop here; you’re probably just waiting for me to post my next WP anyway so I’ll get back to work on those. Expect a few PoT works and an SDK one in the very near future. I’m just doing some finishing touches on them before posting. Later!

   Yet again...
Ok so I posted another Naruto wall. This one isn't actually fully complete but I'm rather tired of working on it. This was the first thing my bud asked me to do but I found the Hinata/Naruto scan to be too tempting to work fully on this one. And since they're so happy with the first one I can just post a semi-done one and still be happy complete it. LoL

Also posted another Hunter X Hunter wall today. A rather interesting one of Gon working on the computer. Had a hard time deciding on a background for this one, it was too tempting to try a variation of grunge themes even though Gon himself couldn't be less grunge. LoL So I guess you could call this my own personal way of teasing him.

   Naruto...
Well never say never I guess. I always promised myself I'd never make a wall from a series that was in my opinion over walled. LoL Namely series like Bleach and Naruto. But well I can't turn down a friend and when they beg its just pitiful so tada here's my Naruto wall.

My buddy asked for a scene featuring his favorite couple that hasn't really beena couple yet. So this made it both easier and harder for me. A wall featuring Hinata and Naruto seemed easy but finding a scan I liked enough to portray the mood was a bit more difficult than I imagined. But well I hope I did a good enough to job to please at least a few people. I like this shot, while Hinata for once in her life isn't focused entirely on Naruto, he can't take his eyes off her. A nice mix I thought. Anyway as always comments are welcome. Enjoy!

   New stuff...
Happy Friday! Ok so today was a busy day for me finishing up a few walls I've been working through this past week. Got a few more Prince of Tennis walls coming out as well as a rather cute one of Cheza from Wolf's Rain. I love that character, she's such a doll! =)

Not sure how many I'll get up tonight but I'll probably be adding a few more this weekend as well. Unless that last editing job has driven me insane. I swear vectoring Kurapin with all the fur is enough to break my mind. LoL But for a cat in an anime I just adore him and can't help but try and get a wall out of every scan of him I find!

Oh a request to PoT fans who might have access to scans. I am looking for a good scan of Kaidoh playing with Kurapin! Any size is fine though the bigger the better. Don't worry about clarity, I'll be vectoring the whole thing anyway! =) Just drop me a note on here or drop me and e-mail and I'll luv you forever! LoL Thanks!

Ryoma showing off...
Just submitted a rather cute wall of Ryoma from Prince of Tennis showing off his "skills" so to speak. LoL Fans of the series are sure to recognize this scene at first glance and I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did.

   Darker side...
Happy Tuesday everyone! Well I just posted another HxH wall this time featuring a fan fave Kurapica. I've always liked this character but never as much as some of the fans out there. I guess Killua's attempts to leave his darker side behind and be a normal kid appeal to me more than Kurapica's revenge driven self. However when I saw this latest scan of Kurapica I knew I had to set up a wall for it. This is the first time I've seen an image that managed to bring out the full darkness of his abilities and show of both the insanity and beauty of his scarlet eyes.

For those who don't know Kurapica is one of the last members of a tribe that was hunted because when they become emotional their normal eyes turn scarlett. And when they're killed while in this state their eyes stay scarlett. These eyes are known as some of the beautiful things on the planet so theres a high black market price for them. Kurapica is on a revenge mission to become a Blacklist hunter and track down both the eyes and the people who killed to get them. Such a pleasant guy when he's not sending those chains into peoples hearts, actually. LoL

   New goodies...
Ah todays contribution is a few cute walls from the series Hunter X Hunter. The first two that I'm posting are of the lovely assassin boy Killua. Who has to be my fave character in the series.

Now if you haven't seen this series before I do highly recommend it. I'm actually sad to say that this is an older anime that was never licensed in the US. Though I do believe the manga is licensed here. As much as I'd love to get this series on DVD I'm stuck with low quality fan subs. Oh well even in bad quality I've still watched this series a dozen times or more. LoL
