   Wicked Witch of the West!?!

Hello Everyone! First off thanks so much everyone for the support and message over the past couple of months. Especially Shishou and Drift, you two just cracked up up continually. And I can't believe you managed to push my comments that high! LoL You definitely cracked me up! So thanks! I love you guys!

But as some of you noticed I pretty much disappeared again, so I guess my whole post about being back wasn't exactly the truth. Honestly I thought it was but I found myself with almost less time to come around theO than I had when I was overseas. Some of you know that I volunteer my time with SAR's (Search and Rescue) and for some reason this year has been particularly busy with folks getting lost in the mountains. And I admit since my leg is back in shape again I've spent as much time as I can working it out in the mountains or kayaking around the Sound. And oddly enough doing a whole new assignment for the IRS. LoL I'm often amazed at how much stuff you can back into a day and still make it back home with the energy to fall into your bed! ^^

So yeah that's my excuse of sorts, real life just kind dragged me away. And with luck next month I'll be heading over to South Africa to help out some marine biologist friends of mine play with sharks! ^^ Great white sharks actually, which reminds me I need to get re-certified for deep dives! LoL No more getting hit by cars though I'm playing it extra safe!

I've been watching anime whenever I have some time though and I'm kinda sad to see the summer premieres end. Though I admit I was greatly disappointed in a few of the finales. Ah well I won't rant now though since I'm pretty short on time still, I just wanted to say hello! And well I did promise a few of you that I'd post and update and let you know I was still alive!! ^^ With luck this winter things will calm down for me and I can finally get some good old fashion net surfing done!

Oh before I go for those of you interested since I've been gone I've posted a few wallpapers, e-cards and icons (on my LJ), so if you're into my stuff feel free to check those out!! ^^

Take care guys! I miss chatting to you all soon much and I really hope I can get back on track and see you all again really soon! Bye!

   Returning from the Trenches!

Hello Everyone! Long time no see! Ah man I've missed you all so very much and I completely understand if half of you have forgotten who I am at this point! ^^ For those of you who don't know I've been gone on work related adventures. With my legs full recovery I decided to jump back into my work and well the one of the first job requests I got set me right up for another one. This one actually came from a branch of the government, which means big money for me. LoL However this also meant that I accepted a long term job that was gonna drag me around the world for a bit. Which sounds like a lot more fun than it actually was. LoL I've spent the last few months traveling all around Europe and the Middle East and finally have made it back home. Oh how I've missed my own bed and my kitties and my puppy! Ok and I missed my roommates too! ^^

I'm sure some of you have noticed that I managed to post new wallpapers, e-cards and the like while I was gone. I managed to create a few things that I wanted to share. So I took down my site during this time because well honestly I didn't feel up to posting when I knew I couldn't visit you guys! Stupid time restraints! So I just tossed up a few creations and tried to answer PM's when I could! Thanks those of you who took the time to PM and wonder where the heck I disappeared too. Very sweet of you!

I also posted more icons over at my LiveJournal account if you're interested in that kind of thing. Honestly I had an easier time making icons that I had making any of my other things. Its amazing how relaxing it is to make up a tiny little icon while trying to figure out some work problem. I kind of used it as therapy.

Ok so here's the bad news, even though I'm back in Seattle I'm still not going to be online as much as I use to be. This job pretty much opened up some big accounts for me so I'm working a lot more than I was with when I was injuried. Which is both good and bad. LoL Guess this means I have more money for anime and manga but not as much time for playing on the internet. So I won't be on the O every day like I use to be, but I'll try to visit sites at least once a week or so! So I understand completely if you delete me from your friends list or don't visit me.

Now on a happier note even while playing around the world I still managed to keep up to date on Anime so I still have lots to talk about with you guys! So with luck my future posts will be more interesting! Hehehe I missed you guys lots and lots! I can't wait to see what you've all been up too! Take care everyone!

I return from the big bad city! ^^

Hello Everyone! I'm back from New York safe and sound, if a bit exhausted. I'll never understand why I can't just get a direct flight from Seattle to New York rather than having to hit hubs along the way. I hate layovers with a passion! LoL Makes me wish I could afford my own plane instead! Hmm maybe I should try saving up my money sometime and pricing one out. Seems kind of a waste to spend all my money on plane tickets when I could spend it tooling around in my own right? LoL Oh well next time I plan a trip like this I just need more warning really, I know there are nonstop flights I'm just unlucky when I need to travel. ^^ No one ever gives a gal warning when they need her to rush to the rescue.

The job went really well actually, though it was a lot more difficult than I had first determined. The companies records and finances were just a mess to go through. Much less attempting to go through them looking for a single embezzler. I spent most of Friday and Saturday just making heads and tails of their filing system. No wonder the CEO couldn't figure out a way to get the stuff to me in Seattle, half of it wasn't even in their computer system yet! LoL I won't name names, but man I hope none of you guys are doing business with this company. LoL So here's the really fun part, half way through Sunday I got that feeling that I was on the right track and I knew where the money was going. Unfortunately trying to explain it was enough to nearly get me fired. ^^ Good thing I'm not the easy to scare type. Turns out the owner of the company was in fact the person taking the cash. I mean really if you want the money and you own the thing just take it in plan sight darn it, don't put your company in the black because they can't figure out what they're doing wrong. Much less make them hire someone like me to come solve the problem. I'm not cheap darn it! LoL

Oh well not a happy solution but at least now they know what's going on so they can all quit or scream at the owner or something. LoL Oh and this isn't my first trip to NYC, I've actually been there a lot. But I don't really care for the big metropolis. Yeah I know some of you are going, don't you live in Seattle? But honestly this is the only town I've ever been to where a million odd people still feels like a smaller town mentality. Even going to downtown Seattle doesn't make me feel like I'm in a big city. But I still get all the big city goodness of shopping and theater! ^^ But since I had some time Sunday I did do a bit of shopping and playing around. No real time to hit any theaters or anything unfortunately. Though I would have liked to see what was showing on Broadway. No luck this trip for that kind of stuff. But I did find some nice new outfits and a lovely shiny opal necklace for my mom for Mother's Day. I hope you all remembered your Mom and at least called or made funny faces at her! ^^

LoL Glad you guys liked the icons from the last post, I just couldn't resist those silly Jaken and Sesshomaru ones. They were just too funny. This posts icons don't have any real significance. I just like icons. LoL And yes I know I stepped away from anime for a second there...but darn it Supernatural is on it's season finale and I'm in a total Dean obsessed mood! LoL So you'll just have to deal with the cute boy in my icons! ^^

So after this I'm going to make a run at all your sites! So that should be lots of fun considering it's been nearly a week since I've talked to you guys! Can't wait to see what you've been up to and what nifty new things are going on in your lives! I hope everyone is doing great of course! And I'll apologize now if I miss a site here or there because I'm still pretty sleepy! So blame the long plane ride and that annoying guy next to me who kept asking me where we were. What like I'm supposed to look down from the plane and guess what state we're flying over? O.o What's with that? Thank god for business class though at least I can boot up my laptop and pretend I'm working. LoL I'm sneaky like a ninja! Hmm are there computer ninjas...maybe I can make up a new club for that! Who wants to be a computer ninja with me? ^^

Much thx on the congrats for the 2000 hits. I'm still kind of surprised by it. I only started really working on this site about a year ago so I'm always pleased to see so many folks stopping by! And some of you mentioned you only have low visit numbers, don't worry about that. ^^ I always say it's not the number of visits but the quality of those who stay! Welcome your friends with warm hearts and you'll find the O a wonderful place to be! I really do love this site, I've never seen such a wonderful community. Especially when it comes to anime and gaming communities! ^^ Usually they dissolve into a horrible comparison place, I'm just so grateful at what a fun and enjoyable place the O really is! And wow doesn't that sound like an ad for the place huh? LOL But then anyone who puts up with my really long posts every time I come on here has to be considered a good friend! Hehehe

   Gotta fly!

Hello Everyone!
Just a fairly quick and short post from me this time! I wanted to explain my disappearance this week! Though I tried to get to sites I was pretty much hit and miss I'm afraid! Now that my knee is pretty much acting like a knee should be I've been getting back to work and trying to catch up on everything I missed. Unfortunately this meant a lot of running around and a ton of work in my office. Not much fun that actually, you would not believe how much I let things slide when I'm feeling sorry for myself. LoL

So in the midst of getting all that stuff done I got a call for a new job from a company in New York so I was all set to do that when it turns out our computer systems refuse to talk to each other so I can't go through their databases and get the info I need. So I spent a ton of time talking to Microsoft here in Redmond trying to figure out some way for me to get into their system so I wouldn't have to fly out there and do it in person. And well so yeah tomorrow I'm flying out to New York to work on a job. It shouldn't take me more than the weekend but I doubt I'll be able to sneak much online time when I'm there. No fun at all! Usually when I do this stuff at home I can play on the net while my computer does it's research. Now I have to look all business-like in front of the customer! LOL Oh well since I'm down to only needing the cane on stairs at least I'll look more intimidating than I did on crutches for that last job! Hehehe

Oh I did want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts on my unique little factoids about me. And I really appreciate the thanks on my military service. In all honestly I adored the Marines and would probably still be there if I hadn't been injured. Hmm ever get the feeling that I'm accident prone? LoL But really it was a great honor and since I grew up in a military family it was a pretty natural choice. ^^

Oh today's icons are here solely to entertain LS! ^^ I saw these and couldn't resist! *blows kisses*

I managed to create a few things before I got torn away by work, so theres a couple of wallpapers. One of Griffith from berserk and Aya from Weiss Kreuz. There's also a dozen or so e-cards that I tossed up! Feel free to check them out if you'd like. ^^ Comments and random thoughts are always welcome. LoL

Oh I hit 2000 hits on my site! So nice to see so many folks appearing around here to check out my bizarre little page! Thanks for visiting!

Ok folks I'm off to finish packing so I'll try to visit sites when I get back, I hope everyone is doing great while I've been gone and that you all have a fantastic weekend as well! Later!

Completely random, so what else is new right?

Hello Everyone! Ah well it's been another amazing week full of nonesense and buckets full of manga and anime! ^^ I hope everyone's been doing really well. I think I got to just about everyone's site, sorry if I missed anyone. I tried! ^^ Let's see what have I been doing this week...lots actually but none of it really that interesting. Though I did have a really nice shopping spree this weekend. Ended up with about 100 dollars worth of manga to entertain myself with. Yeah I know I'm crazy but actually that's pretty normal for me. Not necessarily to spend on manga but to spend at Borders. Yeah I spend way too much in bookstores. My library takes up most of my room, so that's always fun. It's cute though I dragged my roomie along with me since I'm still using the cane and he was cracking up because I just kept piling books into his arms to carry along behind me throughout the store. LoL Poor guy, he looked like one of those husbands following their wives clothes shopping trips! ^^

Let's see if I can even remember what I bought, hmm the latest of D.Grayman, berserk, Black Cat, Vampire Knights, Samurai Deeper Kyo and some groups batches of Whistle, Demon Diary, Vampire Games, Prince of Tennis and Vagabond. Yeah I have really varied tastes don't I? LoL All of those are really great series by the way I highly recommend them! ^^

Oh I added some new wallpapers recently, some of you have already discovered them and commented. I thank you very much for those by the way! I really appreciate comments. They give me warm fuzzy feelings inside and make want to make even more goodies! So thank you very much! Ok the new wallpapers I made three from the series Air, two from Samurai Deeper Kyo, one from Vampire Knight, one from Eyeshield 21, and two more from Ghost Hunt. See I told you I was busy this week. Hehehe Feel free to check them out if you'd like! I think they're pretty but I'm biased. LoL

Well with the arrival of the winter season that means new animes series from Japan and I'm quite pleased with some of the new ones airing. Surprising there seemed to be some really quite unique and entertaining shows this round. Including two that I'm very interested in seeing more of; Claymore and Seirei no Moribito. Both of these series star a female lead character who is not only smart and strong but just plain interesting. It's so rare lately to find a female character who doesn't pale in comparision to most of the male characters around her that I'm just thrilled about these two. Claymore is actually one of my fave mangas and I'm absolutely thrilled at how the anime is following the book and bringing to life Clare and Raki.

Claymore summary: The setting of Claymore's story is a fictional world with medieval technology. In this world, humans coexist with creatures called Yoma, sentient monsters that feed on human innards. The Yoma, being shape-changers, can take on human form and live in disguise amongst humans. By consuming the humans' brains, Yoma can also absorb their memories, allowing them to disguise themselves as specific people without alerting any of their close friends or family. A nameless and highly secretive organization has created an order of superhuman warriors to protect humans from the Yoma. These warriors are called Claymores, named after their immense claymore swords. Villages being attacked by Yoma hire Claymores to kill the Yoma for a large fee. Despite saving humans on a regular basis, Claymores are often alienated from and feared by humans due to their incredible powers, their relation to Yomas, and generally aloof attitudes. Humans will often call them "silver-eyed witches" or "monsters". The story of Claymore follows the adventures of the Claymore warrior Clare and the young human boy who follows her named Raki.

Seirei no Moribito or Guardian of the Sacred Spirit follows the story of a woman named Balsa. Balsa is a yojimbo (bodyguard) and a spear user of amazing prowess. When returning to her hometown after a two years away Balsa sees and accident involving the second prince of the Emperor. She saves the boy and leaves immediately afterwards, but word of her skills reaches the ears of the boys mother. She is summoned to the palace and asked to assume the role of the boy's bodyguard. She's told that the accident was no accident and in fact the boy's father has ordered his exucution as the prince has been possessed by a water fiend. Agreeing to the risk she takes possession of the boy and flees from the palace, leading to a journey to protect the boy from his enemies and save him from the possession as well.

So far only four episodes of both shows have aired, but I'm quite interested in seeing how the shows progress through the rest of the series! Oh as always if you're interested click on the pictures above to see the larger version of them. ^^ I do so love taking screen captures. LoL

Oh yes I almost forgot but Driffter tagged me so I'd better put my listing down here as well. Five unique things about me.

1. I served in the Marine Corp. I was a First Lieutenant when I left the Corp.

2. I can fly a helicopter and a plane better than I can drive a car, no speeding tickets in the air. LoL

3. I volunteer for a Search and Rescue group that does Sea and Mountain rescues in the Seattle area, but occasionally we're loaned out for natural disasters around the rest of the States.

4. I attended college in Minnesota and received by Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Lit and Classical Studies.

5. My dream is to support myself with a writing career, but right now I'm working as a private detective of sorts. ^^

Alright so I tag: chezawulf, etaru, GIDRA, Mamma Vash and Raina. If you've already been tagged then feel free to ignore me! LoL

Now I'm off to go watch some more anime! ^^ Take care guys and keep smiling! It's only Wednesday we've got half the week left! bye bye!

I'm back! Did you miss me? Hehehe

Hello Everyone! Ah man I missed you guys so much! As you can guess I am finally back home again and I finally have real access to the internet! I actually got out of the hospital about a week ago but then my mom begged me to stay down in AZ with her for a bit while I got use to doing stuff on my own. Pretty nice of her actually considering she's had to put up with me for over a month now! ^^

I am doing wonderful by the way thank you all for your wonderful support and sweet comments! I greatly appreciate them! I read them often while sitting in that hospital bed. ^^ After all you can only watch so much anime and read so many mangas before your mind begins to melt. Actually...I could probably have watched a lot more but my mom could only bring in so much. Hehehe For those who are curious I am now the proud owner of a new knee, which is an odd feeling to say the least but hey its working pretty well now. Still a bit sore of course but I'm down to just using a cane to get around which is a nice improvement from the wheelchair I've been stuck in for a while now.

But its so nice to be home! Though between my cats and dog welcoming me home I nearly didn't make it in the house alive. LoL It's so nice to feel loved and missed! ^^ I think my roommates were happy to see me as well...or at least happy they don't have to keep trying to figure out how to post on sites for me and send me anime long distance! So many lovely animes watched, but I'll be talking about them at later dates this post will be long enough with me getting into that!

I will be visiting sites all day long today! So please be patient, it's been forever since I've seen you all and I want to stop by everyones site and say hello! I've missed you guys so much I can't wait to get caught up with you all!

I posted a few of the wallpapers I've been working on over the past couple of weeks. Three from one of my fave mangas called Midori no Hibi and one from Blade of the Immortal; another amazing manga. I've got a lot more to post actually but I figured a few at a time would be better! And wow...I've been promoted to Otaku Legend...when the heck did that happen?! Nifty! Hehehe See you learn something new every day here at the O! ^^

Of I wanted to mention a friend of mine has been pushing me into designing icons/avatars since I'm so fond of them. And well because the animes I want to use as icons never seem to have people making icons. So I've been making some for a few of my fave sport animes to get started. And well if you're interested and want to see them you can jump over to my LiveJournal and check them out. I don't actually post like journal stuff over there. Just opened it so I could post comments to other peoples sites. LoL Now I can post my icons there and let folks steal them like I steal icons here! Hehehe

I'll also be working my way through guest book visits and PM's as fast as I can! I promise to answer them all but please be patient there's just one of me and I'm still not completely mobile! ^^ Talk to you all real soon!!

   Cut & Paste News

Hello Everyone! Yes this is really me, but I'm not really here. So shhh...you don't see me. ^^ I want to thank everyone for their sweet well wishes and such I really do appreciate them! And contrary to my roommates comment I was not being an idiot when I hurt myself it was an accident! I was being good! ^^

See it all started because I got a call from my parents down in AZ that my grandpa was going in for an open heart surgery thingie and they wanted me to come down for moral support and all that. And I figured why not I'm just stuck not moving here I might as well be stuck no moving down there where it's sunny. So I grabbed a flight and went on down there and all was going well until well the accident happened. See my parents live in this lovely lace and there is access to this lovely pool. And hmm did I mention that spilled pool water and walking on crutches completely do not match? So yeah I kinda slipped and well being quick minded I tried to catch myself...which actually made things a lot worse since I tried to stop myself from falling with my bad leg. Hmm yeah so maybe it was kind of stupid after all huh?

So my parents decided that a hospital visit would be a good thing and the doctors and nurse there decided I should stick around for a while as they proceeded to poke and prod me with very many needles in all hours of the day and night. Someone has to explain to me how my temperature at 2am affects my knee? O.o Yeah so that was annoying to say the least. But worst of all is they don't allow internet access at all in the hospital! None! Not even a little bit! It's horrible! I'm going crazy, I want to surf and do all kinds of stuff! I can't even hack into a wireless single or anything. Depressing. But they let me keep my laptop so I can at least write stuff like this and have my mom e-mail it to my roommate to post on my site. And you thought my normal posts took effort, now I'm just crazy with the networking. LoL

On the happy note I have a ton of anime on DVD's to watch and my mom believes that reading is a wonderful thing so she's flooding me with mangas and books whenever she's on shift. Oh my mom, my sister and my aunt are all nurses in this hospital...doesn't that just sound like a fun place for me to be? LoL Thankfully they don't work on this floor so I'm safe from most of their help. ^^ Actually everyone's been really nice and they seem to love chatting with me while I'm trying to lose myself in anime. Darn people. Heheh

Oh yeah...so basically I screwed up my knee worse than it was before which means I had no choice but to do the whole knee replacement thing. So that's what I'm doing now. Surgery after surgery of prep and such and then comes the therapy and learning how to walk and such again. Hence why I'm not going to be around much. But I figured I might as well try to keep those who were interested a bit up to date on whats happening to me and why I haven't been visiting. But man I miss chatting with you guys and hearing about your days and such. Stupid hospital rules, they should know the internet is a wonderful thing. LoL

Of course when I get back I'm going to have a ton of e-cards and wallpapers to submit since I can still make this on this silly thing even if I can't submit them. Oh well I'm going to head back to watching some more Prince of Tennis before my next therapy session, chat with you later!! Take care and I hope to be back online in a few more weeks! Miss you all very much! Bye bye!

Hello, well this is Jaguar's roommate passing along a message from her. She's going to be off line for a while around a month or so most likely. Mostly because she's a fool and went and messed up her leg. Anyway she's stuck in the hospital and she wanted to let you guys know that she's not going to be posting or anything. Don't worry or anything though she'll be fine, she just has to sit in traction and go through a bunch of surgeries and such. If you post I'll try to pass along some messages to her but don't worry if you can't. She'll be back and tell you the whole long tale when she's out. Thanks for listening. bye! -- J

   Sunday morning chatter!

Hello Everyone! Ah well it's been a pretty good weekend for me so far! I'm happily laying off the pain killers for my leg so I can function without feeling like I'm in a different planet. I swear this is why I really don't like pain killers and such, but hey my legs feeling much better. Unfortunately this does tempt me to want to try walking on it, but I'm being good and resisting. LoL See I can be good when I want to be...or when I have roommates threatening my life if I try it! ^^

Hmm so let’s see what do I know…nothing much really. Being stuck in bed has once again improved my anime viewing so that’s always a fun thing. I’ve watched about a dozen different animes so far. Not all new ones, in fact I’ve been happily re-watching Fruits Basket once again. I do adore that series and it never fails to make me feel better. If I have a choice in my life I’d really like to see life like Tohru does…that optimistic feeling of always wanting what's best for my friends. I really like that. I’m not much like her but I do try. Life has to have goals right? Hehehe

I’m happy to say that I think I’ve managed to visit everyone sites though at least so far. Adam and Massin’s latest update with changing the update listings to show 24 hours rather than midnight to midnight is taking a bit of getting use to. But I think it’s a better choice. I hate missing folks when they post in the evenings since midnight east coast is only 9pm here on the pacific coast. ^^ But I’ve kind of gotten use to seeing all the names go white again at 9pm at least for a few minutes. LoL I almost managed to make it through all my guestbook signings! Whoohoo! So welcome all my new friends, I hope you figure out my insanity pretty quickly and feel right at home. ^^

Today’s word of the day is actually one I’ve had set up for a while now but I wanted to post it this month. Since I was actually a bit curious to see how many people actually knew about White Day. Or understood details about it at least. ^^ So hence my little mini-lesson of the day!

And my latest anime recommendation is for an older anime but a very good one. Kino No Tabi (Kino’s Journey). I will say this is not for the more casual anime viewer. This anime is essentially a look into human nature through the eyes of a young traveler and a talking motorcycle. The protagonist, Kino, accompanied by a talking motorrad, a motorcycle named Hermes, travels through a mystical world of many different countries and forests, each unique in its customs and people. Kino only spends 3 days and 2 nights in every town, without exception, on the principle that three days is enough time to learn almost everything important about a place, while leaving time to explore new lands.

The opening phrase is one of my favorite, “The world is not beautiful.” Kino no Tabi explores what the anime director Ryutaro Nakamura described as "a radical sense of 'beauty," and brutality, loneliness, nonsense, oppression and tragedy are often juxtaposed against compassion and a fairy-tale atmosphere.

Again this anime is not for the faint of heart or those not willing to take a good look at both the light and darker side of human nature. But the first episode hooked me…the second episode held me enthralled…and by the third I knew I would be spending the entire night finishing the series. Which isn’t that hard actually since the series is quite short, only 13 episodes in total. ^^ Oh and I’m not terribly fond of the English dubbing for this series so if you can stand it please check out the Japanese version instead. I quite dislike the voice they choose for Hermes in the English version.

Ah a nice long post form me, now I feel like I’m getting back to normal! ^^ Oh in case you missed them I put up 5 new Vampire Knight wallpapers that I hope folks enjoy. This might be the last of that series for a while unless inspiration strikes again. But so far I’m starting to drift towards a few other series. Hmm and I posted a few e-cards after my last post so if you missed those and like my e-cards jump on over and check those out, too! ^^

Enough already right? LoL Ok I’m off to go explore the wonders of my pillow and get some happy sleep! With dreams of random anime adventures! LoL Take care all and I’ll talk to you later! Keep smiling!
