I think Japan cries in their sleep
Yes, you've read the title right.

I'm about to get slapped.

But, Japan cries in their sleep because their language/culture is being abused, beaten, and torn in shreds that can't be put back together.

Now, before I start, I don't know Japanese. Keep this in mind. I only know "Kimono" and generic words of the such.

Japan...has a unique style, culture, language.

People like that culture.

So they're like "ahhhhahaha, I wanna be Japanese!" though they are clearly not.

They add 'chan', 'san', and whatever else to be proper to the end of their sentences.

They figure out the japanese versions of their favorite anime/manga/name/etc and use that version instead of the translated/original version.

The symbol for a word (ex. the symbol for love on Gaara's forehead) decorates their walls.

And yet, they know nothing about that language/culture.

They don't know what those words really mean, they don't know where to put those proper-terms in their sentences, they don't know if that word has a double-meaning.

I point out a lot of people when I say this, I know. Some of which are my friends.

And yes, I know I do this myself with the spanish language.

I say "hola!" and stuff like that.

But those are generic words. Kimono, is not a problem to me, chopsticks, soy-sauce, any words commonly used.

I don't care.

But, when you screw up the language and it's speaking rights, it bothers me.

Take a class in the language for a few years, then you can say "yeah, I know Japanese, I can speak it".

But come on! You're freaking 13,14,15, even 16 years old or younger trying to speak a language you know nothing about!

It's like freaking plagerism on an entire culture or whatever.

So I'm going to say it now: learn the culture, learn the language. I don't want to hear you people going around saying:

"That's so kawaiii"

if you don't know what it means.

Flames will be used to cook marshmellows, for I fear I'm a tad hungry.

I had a great time at the Open House thingy. Chocolateagle, LoveIsDaKey, Smexykazekage (I'm guessing that's how you spell it), and a few others made it bearable.

   Jubalee!
Random title, no?

And guess what? I went and saw Transformers, and I'm gonna see it again this weekend! Yay! I highly reccomend this movie. It's pretty great.

Lots of everything except Decepticons. Which I was greatly disappointed by. Don't get me wrong, I love Autobots, but Megatron needs some love.

Not to mention the goo-goo dolls made a song for it. I love them.

That made my fourth pretty grand.

Except I had the worst lobster.

Ah well. I didn't let that ruin my holiday.

In other news... Harry Potter came out yesterday, and my dad's gonna take me to see it! Yay!

I'm getting the 7th book too. It's gonna be pretty great.

Current mood: Transformers. :3

That's all I have to really say. I love me some Jetfire, Starscream, Megatron (I must be the only fangirl of his voice ever <3), Hotshot, Red Alert, and of course, Optimus Prime.

I don't know if Transformers (<33) is considered 'Anime' or not. It's a show about transforming robots, so it has robots in it.

I don't even know.

Don't give me that look.

I just realized, I like Anime/Manga/Shows that have giant robots in them.

-G Gundam (I haven't seen that show in years. Personal opinion, best Gundam series)
-Gundam Seed
-Eureka Seven (I'm not a big fan, but I know it has to do with Giant Robots)

What's up with me and giant robots? I don't even know.

I have to rant a little too.

Okay, so everybody's like 'look at something other than Naruto'. I agree. But it's all NEW anime. You don't ever find anybody that's like 'oh you should look at Dragon Ball Z' or something.

I love Dragon Ball. Why's everybody hating?

And Sailor Moon. What ever happened to that?

Don't even get me started on Sailor Moon now. I'll start crying. THAT WAS MY SHOW, OKAY?!

Sigh. It's a never ending battle of 'what to watch' now a-days. Makes me feel old.

Are you a memeber on theotaku.com, particularly an artist? if so, PLEASE read the following.

Most fanart on the featured fanart list on theotaku.com consists entirely of:
A.) Naruto Fanart
or B.) artists that are already popular and are often featured.

Although these works of art deserve to be credited, it has been brought to my attention honest artists seeking the opinion of their peers has been denied this right. Most people don't take enought time to veiw less popular pictures because the featured list is what captures the most attention. I say, let's add variety to this "featured fanart list" and allow other, less popular otakus to be critiqued, and noticed.

I propose a featured list for EACH CATEGORY instead of the most popular on the ENTIRE site. This way more people will have a chance to be on the featured fanart list/s, and members can veiw the best pictures for their favorite animes and mangas.

I also propose that another list is added to the site where art that has NOT recieved votes can be shown, and otakus will have an easy accessible way to provide the artist on how to improve, or simply just to be allowed a few veiws.

The otaku needs better oppertunities for those who struggle, but want to improve and be noticed. We want variety and equality, and not to be outshone by those with "more talent"

It's time that we speak up, because our art should be shown where we feel most credited for our efforts. It's OUR otaku, so let's make it ours!

Though I have not submitted art to this site, I am an artist. And this petition has a very excellent point.

Okay, so you aren't the best of the best of the best. But you still draw for fun, or for the heck of it. Don't you want a tad bit of credit for your art? I know I would. (Though I don't show off my artwork).

And yes, most artwork is not viewed because it does not appeal, or is not good enough to people's standards. Most artwork on any site like 'the Otaku', is mainly Naruto, or the people that have their accounts and artwork known.

There is no problem with Naruto artwork, in my opinion, but there aren't a lot of people out there that will go hunting for the different artwork. I'm not saying you should dump Naruto and go find other artwork, just occasionally, find a piece that isn't what you normally look at.

I know I do.

And, a very different point. I can't see there being a 'Naruto Museum' where your artwork will be featured. But a real museum will feature your artwork. I mean, your REAL artwork, not something that you made for your favorite Anime, T.V. show, or Manga.

And I'm not calling Fanart bad either!

And theres just that tad bit of popularity to Naruto that makes the artwork, not really artwork because it can be copied.

Remember, all my opinion.

   Alright
The pointless rant of the week, but it has to happen.

Ugh, okay, today I have a chorus concert. I didn't sign up for chorus, but whatever. So, we were practicing in the gym. I was like 'yeah yeah' because it's the LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL! 2 days! (I'm leaving on Friday!)And our teacher was just like 'blah blah blah, you aren't good enough for anything!' I was like, 'what happened to the 'a' for effort thing'? Do you guys remember that? I do!

And then in art, this girl was like getting up in this dude's GRILL. Oh my gosh. It's like GIVE THE GUY SOME PRIVACY. So I was like 'calm down, okay respect his privacy'. And she BLOWS UP ON ME. She's like 'Blah blah blah, you shouldn't be saying that because you're getting in my business'. BUT the thing was, that she was TELLING EVERYBODY that she wanted to get up in this dude's grill about whatever. I'm about to go off on her tomorrow. Better yet Thursday, because it would be closer to the end of the year.

Yeah, you guys are like 'do I care?'. You prolly don't, it just helps to write it out.

Anyway, the lovely 'Chocolateagle', and 'Loveisdakey' signed my yearbook. XD

And what a bad way to end the year too...ah, well.

Random Update.

Yeah, yeah.

My bff said she would do a request I made a long time ago for a comic from her SUPER DOOPER GOOD UBER DOOBER story. XD I am SO excited. I hope she reads this.

I want somebody to draw me a picture. I really need to post something here.

Somebody asked me what I wanted to be today. I answered I haven't decided. That really got to me as I was writing the above. RANDOM XD

Can you believe it's already Wednesday? I was pretty much excited. 2 more days til Friday!

How many of you that actually read this have seen "Princess Mononoke"? I need a picture of the guy with REALLY high sandals. Thanks bunches.
