August 30, 2006

GOOD MORNING! From six am... again. Yeah, I've officially decided I'm going to test the definitions of coherency... I'll try to sound sane for now... The next paragraph, read at your own discretion, I think...

As for most of my professors, since I've already met all but one (I have a night class on Thursday... it's so evil!), this is what I have to say:
  • My macroeconomics prof is about the best lecturer I've had in a long while. He reminds me of this history teacher I had in my junior year of high school.
  • The computer science prof is the ONLY one in the building, and my class has...literally... three students in it. So some of you going "Lucky!" can say whatever you want. I sat there with the prof sorta breathing down my neck the whole class, since he decided to sit behind us. I'm nervous when people read over my shoulder.
  • My foundations of advanced math and stats prof are the same person that I had for calculus last year. She's really nice and doesn't get mad at me for playing spider solitaire when I should be paying attention. ^^ I still got an A so I guess she has no right to complain, right? Oh, and I guess it might be noticeable that I'm a math wiz... coughcoughnerdcoughcough... O.o Yeah, obvious.... oh well!
  • My accounting prof... how to describe him... let's see... I guarantee you by the end of next week I WILL be able to imitate his voice, for the inane purpose of mocking him. I need the class, but man oh man, he is SO BORING... I was almost falling out of my seat when he let class out, and he let us out early! -_-; I dread the next time I sit down with him. I think next class I'm gonna count his stock phrases, just for fun.

As some of you might have noticed, I got mixed fruit with the professors this year... I love my computer science prof., it's just the room is a little too cramped now for me... hehe... o.o Oh wow, I've gotta get moving... my day starts soon, and I must go shower, so yeah, I'll visit y'all later this afternoon... like two or three, when I get out of class. Okay, later!

August 28, 2006

Um.... hi?? Hehe, I know, I've not been around lately... I'm always sorry for the fact that it looks like I'm ignoring y'all, but I'm not. Well, for my update, it's six am on a school day, but I'm only up at six for work... but I don't even know if I'll be able to get breakfast, which really sucks. The library opens at seven forty-five on school days and closes at ten thirty, but I'm not staying from open to close anymore. ^^

I was ridiculously happy about my dorm room... until I started unpacking yesterday... There's house centipedes in here... there were a lot yesterday, and since yesterday evening, I've not seen any. I put in a complaint to maitenance about it, but I doubt they reacted THAT fast...

Well, I'm not going to be near my computer until about three or so, since I'm actually going to be a good student and try to pay attention in class the first few days... I'll visit y'all around then. Later!

PS- My Regal Bryant article is coming... very very soon.

August 21, 2006

Dude, I don't know where to start... except... I'm soo sorry! Gomen nasai! Es tut mir sehr sehr leid! FORGIVE ME! I have been gone since that post on Wednesday... eep.... Umm, actually, I worked on Thursday, and I tried to stay up to let everyone know, but I left early Friday morning to visit my bro who went to basic training. Remember, if you were here back then, when I was having problems with him? He was far nicer this time around. In fact, we had a blast this weekend with him. ^^ We even went to a few museums... including some arms museums... but I'm not too interested... just in the science aspect of it. Although, he was, so it was only fair to let the poor soul have his fun. We ate out all weekend too... I tried to update on Sunday, but there was a serious power outage and by the time it came back, I had to get ready for checkout... And next week, I'm heading back to school so I'm gonna start packing soon. Also, I'll get to everyone's sites here shortly... and I will work on more stuff for the site today! I promise! Later everyone!

August 16, 2006

I'll be visiting everyone in the morning. Sorry, too tired right now, just posting for the fact that I said I would.

First, let me start off by telling you about Monday. I was awoken at an early hour to clean again, which I did, and then asked to go shopping with my bros just because I had the check card and could pay, which I did. But here's where the problems kicked in. See, I needed to do some shopping of my own while we were out and about. The moment I let our ride know I was going to the other end of the store, but would not take long (seriously, I was going to look at pillows for my dorm room, which believe me, takes all of five minutes, because I'm not one of those people who has to inspect every little thing), and she flipped out, demanding that I stay within eyesight like I were two. I went across the aisle to look at backpacks (because I refused to stay in the Men's clothes area... come on, what am I going to do there? Stare at pants??), and they wigged out wondered where I went. Clearly within eyesight, and clearly aggravated. Anyhow, instead of getting any of my shopping done, I got all of my bros shopping done. We even went to Walmart, and ended up being out for three hours, with all of five minutes belong to me and my hunt for pillows, at Walmart, where at the time, there is crap in pillow selection. Oh, and for lunch, nobody listened to what I wanted to eat, so instead of complaining, I took what they bought me... evil people. Anyhow, I was not happy when I got home. REALLY not happy. Here was the kicker. After I spent three hours being forced not to do my shopping, I had to GO BACK OUT and do my shopping. I even went to the same exact stores, found what I wanted, and was done within an hour. Tell me that just made sense to you too.

Okay, that's about the extent of my bad news so far. Actually, for a bit of the trip, it was enjoyable, just because one of my bros (the one who lives on the Xbox), he's a natural standup comedian. No lie. He's really good. He can get you to laugh at just about anything. So anyhow, we stopped at a McDonald's for lunch, and we asked the girl at the counter for five soft drinks. This is the conversation that follows:

Girl: ... Can you say that again?
Ride: (says louder) Five soft drinks.
Girl: ... Is that a shake?
Ride: (somewhat aggravated) No. It's right up there for a dollar. (is pointing to menu)
Girl: ... ... (turns to manager) What's a soft drink?
Manager: ... It's a soda.
Girl: (sounds witchy) Well, we just call that a drink. (finishes order)

Yes, this is a true story. I am not making this up. So my random question of the day is: Did you know what a soft drink was? All right, and given such material, he did not let this go. I mean it. He was making a joke about it all day. Even left a suggestion in the suggestion box for it. Gotta love him.

Oh, and I've been meaning to tell you guys, but I broke 300 pageviews this weekend! Hooray and thank you!! YAY!!! *dances* Also, I've put up more fanart, including one piece where a girl stole Naruto's outfit...hehe... okay, I forgot one more piece of bad news. Why do people not tell you when they vote a piece down? I expect an explanation if you're gonna tell me you don't like it. You know? I don't care particularly if they like the piece or not. I will be content with that forever... just tell me why! Give me the piece of mind to know you visited, and gave your opinion. I wanna know what I can do to improve my artwork. Don't let me wallow in my own ignorance... please? Okay, yeah, that's over. It got two votes down without any reason as to why, as did one of my other works. I mean, it was just a Naruto-ish picture I drew, and I only spent my whole morning on it. Geez.

I've decided I'm breaking this up into two posts... you'll find the full report of the party day below, if you so wish to read them. ^^ Have a good day everyone! Later!

   THE REPORT

Wow, my post is ridiculously long already, and I haven't even begun to tell you about the day of the party. Well, my two lovely, faithful, wonderful dogs woke me up bright and early... apparently there had been an "intruder" in the yard and they wouldn't shut up until someone let them out to investigate. So I visited a couple people, not everyone, and then got back to getting ready. I played phone tag with Rowan for a little before we made contact. She was my ride yesterday. Oh, and I should probably tell you what the deal is. We're planning a going-away/reunion-ish party... but the going-away part is a surprise... in fact, I've planned several surprises yesterday. I need Rowan so that I can go out and get the ice cream sheet cake I'm fronting for. I know, crazy. Anyhow, she got lost, and then she was found...lol.

We took longer (far longer) than I planned to get to laser tag. We played two games, and went crazy... It was Mission Impossible gone wild. Actually, for someone who sucks, I did pretty good. I got fourth place out of twenty one the first came and second place out of about seventeen the second game... It was so fun... I felt like James Bond..lol. So after the game, after a funky series of events, we ended up at my house with the surprise party... (It was like park-house-park-house for like twenty minutes) At this point, we had set up the surprise party for Sailor Thunder (Yeah, this is the one I've been on edge about for the last few entries), and she was dumbstruck. I mean, she didn't even know what the surprise was for at first. Yeah, as much as I get mad at her, she's one of my best friends. Okay, yeah, we generally had a blast. We had ice cream cake, brownies, pizza, and about a million other things. Group that was here? Well, It included Rowan, DemonAma (my old friend from dA), BB, our bro and his friend, the guy who voiced Ninja Lad, a bunch of random people, Gothic Princess, and Blondie, the "token blonde" of our group of friends. Nurse Raine couldn't make it T-T. Dude, I'm worried I missed somebody in my report...lol

Why did we throw a party for Sailor Thunder? Well, she got this awesome internship to Disney World. She's leaving for five months, and her party that her parents are throwing for her, is on a day I'm out of town. So yeah, of course I was initially throwing this without knowing about that last bit. In any case, I wanted to do something nice for her before she left. It seems like she's happy enough about it.

Right now, Rowan and Sailor Thunder are signing the tunes of High School Musical. I'm just dozing off here, but I figured everyone would like to hear about my awesome day. Well, later!

August 14, 2006

I'm just posting so you guys know what's going down. I've been planning this party since May, and it's happening on Tuesday. So I've been cleaning up my house like crazy so that we can have guests. Oh, and there's a secret about this party, but I can't tell you yet in the off chance that someone is reading it. I'll tell you for sure on Wednesday. I promise a full report!

I'll not really be able to visit your pages immediately, but I'll try later this evening. Actually, I got pretty far with cleaning yesterday. What's left is cleaning the fridge and my room. The rest of it is up to my brothers to clean. Okay, I'm spazzing a little and I need to get some sleep before I get woken at seven am, so I'm gonna go. Later!

~Acorn~

PS- Thanks to Squeaker for being my continued reader of Looks Can Be Deceiving, the story I post occasionally below. I'll have the next chapter up later. Right now I'm just a little busy otherwise. ^^;

August 11,2006

How I'm awake at this hour is beyond me. Okay, the reason for the disappearing act... well, on Wednesday I went on an impromptu road trip to visit my buddy Rowan from college. She, her roomie Raine and I are all the Three Musketeers...lol. Anyhow, we, being me and three others, had a little two-hour trip out to see her, and visit the capital city she lives in. We got to go to all sorts of places, and one of the people who went with us, her uncle lives there too, and he treated us to dinner and to ice cream afterwards! He was so cool! ^^ We did a mountainload of walking through three different parks (a rose garden, a dog park, and some random place...lol), and even on some city streets Wednesday, and I didn't even get back to my house until 12:30 AM... hehe, it was an action-packed day.

I went to work yesterday, and it was then that it hit me: you guys have heard me depressed-ish and in a rant in the same week! Ehehe, I told y'all this month I was a little whacky... ^_^; I'm probably going to visit everyone in the morning... later in the morning (it's like 12:40 AM). Work yesterday was fun though. I actually sat down at the desk for the majority of the day, instead of my usual Thursdays where I get shoved off to shelving. Yay!

Oh, and I managed to get off on one of those eleven-hour days... I need a new health insurance card because my wallet got stolen last Christmas, and I have yet to replace it. -_-; So sue me, it's an hour trip out to the military base to get the ID, and you have to make an appointment, so yeah, it's been put off. Ooh, you guys missed out on those days... when my wallet was stolen, I was SOO angry... actually, the suspect who took it got away with my textbook refund money (over fifty dollars at least) and a few very important items that I reported as missing immediately. I'm good about that now! I just try not to think of the textbooks I could have spent that refund on. -_-# Schooling is still important to me...lol

Okay, that's enough for today! I'm gonna go get some sleep and come back! Later everyone!

CHAPTER

Author’s Note

ImperialGuardian09:I don’t own Tales of Symphonia or Sailor Moon. Remember the spoiler warning? Still in effect here.

Raye: Nothing happens today! Weren’t you going to write something important?

ImperialGuardian09: Okay, so today I’m rushed, and I wanted to make sure everyone had something to read that was relevant. I was going to visit here anyways… it’s so not fair, Raye somehow is my critic. Well, I’m going to get this out, and next week the important thing will happen.

Raye: You better… (fire)

ImperialGuardian09: Don’t make me get a restraining order… (lawyer!) PS- If you're curious about this story and what's already happened, you can check it out in my archives, or go click on the picture that says My Fanfictions on it! I'm catching you guys up from there, so if you read ahead, don't spoil the fun... ^_^; Oh, and there's some minor mild language today... sorry if anyone is offended...

LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING
Chapter 10: Queens of Distraction

“So we need to visit with General Dorr after all?” Serena asked as they left the church. “That’s kinda ironic. We’ve been hearing so much about him and Neal from the townspeople already.”

Serena giggled about Neal, as the group gave her a look.

“At least he’s only across the town circle,” Lloyd said.

“It’s called a town square Lloyd,” Genis sighed. Serena looked back to the two, and smiled. It reminded her so quickly of home. She thought of her and Raye’s fights. It had been only several hours, but it seemed like days had passed already. Her face grew distant, as Colette’s eyes lit up.

“Look Serena! There’s a giant boat!” Colette exclaimed.

“Oh! You’re right! Wow! It’s huge!” Serena replied, recovering herself quickly, as the two started walking off.

“This is not a field trip,” Kratos sighed, a little too late.

“It almost seems like those two are distracting us,” Raine noted. “From Serena’s earlier actions.”

“Colette! Serena! Wait up!” Lloyd exclaimed, running to catch up. Genis sighed, and followed the others. Raine and Kratos both followed them reluctantly, as it was off to the boat.

“This is SO primitive,” a girl noted. As soon as Serena saw her, she thought she was looking at a ghost.

“No kid—Raye?” she whispered.

“Hi Ms. Assassin!” Colette called cheerfully. The group behind the two crashed. The girl, who had shorter black hair, but was very similar to Raye, turned on a dime. She jumped when she saw them.

“Wh—what are you doing here?” she demanded.

“Do you like boats too then?” Lloyd asked, moving to in front of Colette. Serena noted the hostility. She thought back, trying to figure out what was causing this. The only thing was the word “assassin.” She grew concerned. She wondered how dense Colette really was.

“I—uh—I—You just butt out!” she shouted back. Serena couldn’t help but smile. This girl may look like Raye and have some of her personality, but she was definitely NOT Raye. She looked at Serena, and then back to Colette. “What happened? You get another girl to pose as the Chosen of Mana?”

“I’m assuming you were the reason Kratos was so—cross with me earlier,” Serena giggled. “My name’s Serena.”

“And I’m Lloyd and this is Colette,” Lloyd continued. “How about you?”

“I’m Sheena Fu—hey! I’m not supposed to be fraternizing with the enemy! Y-You better watch out for yourselves next time! I mean it!” the Raye-look-alike, Sheena, announced, as she disappeared in a puff of smoke.

“She seems nice enough,” Serena said with a smile.

“If you get beyond the fact that she’s out to kill Colette!” Genis exclaimed. Serena and Colette both shrugged it off, and walked over to where she stood.

“That was some pretty decent teleport,” Serena said, looking around. “For someone unlike me, I’m a little shocked.”

“You mean you can do that too?” Colette asked.

“Yup,” Serena boasted, and then laughed. “Although my aim is still very bad. I almost wonder where she landed. She swore she heard someone off in the distance.

“Damn tree!”

Serena continued to chuckle, as the two walked onboard. There were supplies everywhere, and Serena swore she saw Luna, her cat, jumping nearby.

“I’m scared!” a girl cried, making a blatant reference to a three-hour movie that will not be named as she and her boyfriend stood on the railing. Determined as Serena was to follow, since no one was supposed to know she was there, she tore after what she saw, losing the group, and breaking through a cabin door.

“Wait up!” Lloyd shouted from far behind. Serena ignored him, wanting to find the cat before she found them. Ending up in the lower cabins past an assortment of guards, Serena finally caught up with Luna, shocked at the scene. A man she had only met once before stood there, holding the suspicious black cat in his arms.

“Hello again Miss Tsukino…”

“That’s weird,” Lita thought. “The tug from the door is gone. It’s almost like it was never there. And I haven’t seen Yuan since then. Was I drawn to Yuan? OH JUPITER! I HOPE NOT!”

“How are you feeling today?” a familiar lord asked from behind, as Lita spun around in surprise.

“I’m feeling wonderful, thank you for your concern and hospitality,” Lita replied with a curtsy.

“Believe me, the pleasure is all mine Ms. Jupiter,” Lord Yggdrasill said, flying off. An angel came after him.

“We would like to try something new with your hair, if that is all right,” the angel droned. Lita smiled. He sure had a lot of hospitality for a lord.

“Okay,” Lita said, following the angel away…

“We recover, and keep blasting?” Mina asked, looking at the door. “That’s SO pointless!”

“It is, but we’re wearing down that door. We can get out, at this rate, in two years if we keep at it.”

“You BETTER be JOKING,” Mina scowled, as Amy smiled.

“Please don’t kill me,” Amy sighed…

“Okay, he’s shown up from right here twice now, right?” Amara asked, as Raye nodded. “Then we’ll just stake out this spot until he shows up.”

“I wonder how long this will last,” Trista mused.

“I’ll get sleeping bags!” Rini announced.

“I can go get the magazines and flashlights,” Hotaru suggested, walking off. Michelle went with her.

“I don’t like where this is going,” Raye sighed, going to make some rice balls. This was going to be a long night…
