This week's series: Gunparade March
Hey y'all! How's it going? I'm good. Oh, we actually got some sun... I dont mind the rain but it's nice to get some sun once in a while. Anyway... how my monday went... it was alright, tho class was a bit boring, lots of writting involved. Oh yeah, he handed back those reports... remember 2 weeks ago when I stopped posting so I could finish it? Yeah, the one I had to do during the break. Well, I actually did pretty good on it! I was surprised cos I thought it sucked when I finished it, lol... but yeah, I'm glad it turned out better than I thought. Two more projects to go... we may not get the last one cos of the time we have left before exams but I'm not counting on that... he'll find a way to give it to us somehow, meh lol.
Other than that... I got nothing, lol. This week's anime series is Gunparade March. Anyone heard about it? Anyway, I started re-watching it (got the DVDs) and so I thought I'd use it for this week. It's pretty good, but it's kinda short tho... only 12 eps.
[Synopsis]
In 1945, World War II abruptly ended when an alien race appeared on Earth and began to slaughter the human population. The year is 1999 - 54 years later, mankind is still fighting to survive against the alien forces. Earth forces now use advanced mecha called Humanoid Walking Tanks (HWTs) to combat the invaders, but throughout the ordeal, far too many pilots have been killed in action. As a result, high school students are now recruited to become HWT pilots. Gunparade March follows the lives of the 5121st Platoon, who have just added a mysterious girl named Mai Shibamura to their ranks.

Hey y'all! Wassup? Had a nice weekend yet? The weather pretty much sucks but it doesnt rain non-stop tho so I guess it's not too bad... and it's pretty cold too... 15-18 degrees C (that's 59-64 F)... it's starting to feel like winter lol. Heh, I took a walk (seems I do that a lot lately) outside for a while when it seemed to be okay, weather-wise... bad idea... I got caught in the rain, meh.
Anyway, nothing much to talk about... just lazing around... TV, computer and whatnot.
Oh, I watched episode 5 of GunXSword. It was pretty good... there's this new guy that appeared, Ray, which also happens to be looking for the man with the claws (same guy Van and Wendy are looking for) but it doesnt look like he's gonna be friends with Van... we'll see. Oh, and Carmen 99 was in that episode... which was cool lol.
CSI was great... as usual.

Hey y'all! How's it going? Having a nice weekend so far? Mine's alright... I didnt get to hang out with my aunt and uncle in the end... they're leaving in a few hours and I wont see them off. Ah well... it was nice seeing them.
Anyway, so I went to the movies instead... I saw The Hills Have Eyes. It's R18 so I had my ID ready just in case... never know with those theatre people. And of course, they didnt ask for ID... just when I have it, meh. Anyway, the movie... it was alright... it wasnt that scary... more like disturbing in some parts. The characters are kinda stupid... I mean, when a creepy gas station guy tells you about a shortcut... DONT LISTEN TO HIM! Lol. But then there wouldnt be a movie, right? And when you're attacked, dont split up... stick together, lol. Oh and Beast (one of their dogs) kicked ass! I was like "good on you, Beast" lol, seriously. But yeah, this movie had a lot a violence in it... so if you have a weak stomach dont go see it, lol... but you can still check it out. Overall, it was okay... it had some good parts. Oh, there's this girl from Lost... you know, Claire? Yeah.
Other than that... same old, same old. Oh, episode 5 of GunXSword finished downloading so I'm gonna watch that.
Oh, about the earphone thing... the earphones work fine... it's the CD player that's messed up *sigh* see, when you plug the earphones half way, only the left one works... and when you plug it all the way, only the right one works... wtf? Meh.

Hey y'all! Wassup? I'm pretty good. I saw an uncle and an aunt of mine yesterday... they came to NZ for a few days for a little holiday and I didnt even know until two days ago! My cousin (their daughter) did tell my sister about it via messenger but she (my sis) didnt tell me. Anyway, it was nice seeing them. Oh, they bought a PSP to take back for their son... and guess who was the first one to play it? Yes, me, heh. Well, they asked me to get it to work cos they had no idea how... so I did. I then played it for a good while... you know, to make sure it works well and all, lol. It was fun. They're leaving tomorrow tho... but we might hang out some more today so... sorry if I dont make it to sites.
Other than that... my CD player is pissing me off. Only one earphone gets sound... and no, it's not the earphones, I checked and they work fine. Stupid CD player... I wanna punch it lol. But seriously, it sucks... I like music in both my ears you know.

Hey y'all! How's it going? I'm alright. About the coughing... I'm glad to say that I'm better now... finally. The weather's still sucky tho... been raining so much I dont remember what the sun looks like, lol.
Anyway, I didnt post yesterday did I? Nothing much to say... went to class and whatnot. We got that new report he promised... bleh. Heh, something funny... after he gave us the report instructions and stuff, he was like "When should it be due..." and some guys were fooling around and said "next week!" so he said "next week? Works for me... it's not like it really matters... you're only gonna work on it the night before anyway" lol. Good thing he's funny, or I'd be dead of boredom in that class. Oh and he gave us 3 weeks to complete the project in the end.
Other than that... same old. This week's Lost episode was good.

Hey y'all! How's it going? Nothing much here... I'm not getting any better, meh... and the weather sucks... oh well, I'll live. Other than that, I'm alright. Anyway, I had the day off so there's nothing much to say... I took a walk and ended up going to the mall. So I went to the EB Games store and took a look... lots of cool stuff, no money tho lol. There was a tv in the shop with an Xbox 360 playing Dead Or Alive 4 so I watched for a while... the graphics are pretty awesome I have to say... and the battle arenas are awesome as well.
Other than that, I watched episode 4 of GunXSword since it finished downloading... it was cool.

[Van, Carmen 99, Wendy] This week's series: GunXSword
Hey y'all! Wassup? Well, I'm still sick... sore throat, meh... thanx for the comments tho! Anyways, class was alright I guess... had my wall to lean on lol. But it turns out we're gonna get another project on wednesday, bleh... it seems we have two more of those before the end of the semester.
I got home and fell asleep in front of the tv lol. Oh and episode 3 of GunXSword finished downloading so I watched it... pretty cool stuff.
And this brings me to this week's anime series, GunXSword... like I said I only saw 3 episodes so far but I think it's good.
[Synopsis] Armed with a metal sash that straightens into a sword, lanky swordsman Van is traveling through the desert, searching for the mysterious clawed man who killed his bride. Along the way he picks up a fellow traveler: Wendy, a young girl whose town he saves from bandits by summoning a mecha with his sword. Wendy is searching for her missing older brother, whose engraved gun she carries on her back. In their mutual quest they run afoul of more bandits and villains, a mysterious woman named Carmen99, and more mecha battles a la Wild West.

It's funny too... Van looks like the average lazy bum at first glance, lol (he also kinda looks like Spike from Cowboy Bebop... I think) but he can kick some ass too. Some funny stuff about him: he drinks milk, when he eats, he puts every seasoning into his food (and I mean every one of them, even salad oil) and he cant remember people's names, even acquaintances lol.

Hey y'all! How's it going? Had a nice a nice weekend? Mine was alright... except that I've been coughing... yep, I'm officially sick now lol oh well... it's nothing too bad.
Oh, thanx for taking the time to read my last post... I know it was pretty long... I did try to make it as short as possible tho... cos there was more to say about the concert.
Anyway, I went to the movies and saw Mission Impossible 3... it was pretty good, I liked it... lots of gunfights, explosions, oh and the cool gadgets lol. Check it out.
Other than that, I watched some anime. Black Lagoon episode 3 was available... awesome stuff... and it's still following the manga pretty well so that's cool. And I downloaded a new anime (new as in I've never seen it before). Anyone heard of the anime GunXSword? I downloaded the first two episodes of it... I've been wanting to see it for a while. It's pretty cool... all the episodes are already out so I'll just download all of it, heh. Oh, I'll make it the week's anime series so I'll tell you more about it tomorrow.

Hey y'all! Wassup? I'm alright... except I think I'm a bit sick, oh well. I havent posted all week cos I had to finish my report among other things... and yes, I finished it.
Anyway, as to what happened this week... monday I went to class... we got back the test we did before the break and well... not so good... ah, screw it heh. We also got a project back which was better, I did pretty good. But the best part monday was, of course, the Korn concert! [If you didnt know, I went to a Korn concert monday night] I'll get back to that later on.
Other than that, the other days were alright, nothing much going... went to class... worked on that project some more. The weather was switching from sunny to rainy back and forth. Wednesday night, I watched Lost which was good. And that's a quick view of my week so far.
Anyway, now let's get back to the main event of the week, the concert!! Okay, here's how it went:
[I'll use some approximate times] 5:30 pm. I arrived (I took a cab) and there was already a lot of people waiting. Everyone was wearing black (mostly) and they all had band shirts, mostly Korn but also some others like Slipknot, marylin Manson or Nirvana. I was wearing all black too, with my Metallica shirt. 6:15 pm. The doors opened. 6:30 pm. I got in. I bought me a KoRn "Tour 2006" shirt. Front side features the See You On The Other Side album cover (pic above) and back features a list of all the places they're touring in this year. I put it on immediatly, over my other shirt lol. 6:45 pm. Dawn Of Azazel (NZ band) started playing. I found myself a nice spot with a nice view of the stage. Too bad I wasnt in the mosh pit area. Anyway, they play a few songs... it was alright. 7:15 pm. It was 8 Foot Sativa (another NZ band)'s turn. It was pretty good... better than Dawn Of Azazel I thought. Again, a few songs and that was it. 8:00 pm. After a 10-15 minute set up, Blindspott arrives on stage... and the place starts to fill up. Now, things started to get interesting. And yes, it was great. They kicked things off with 'Yours Truly', which some of you know, and everyone was singing along... awesome... they played some other cool songs like 'Nil By Mouth' or 'S.U.I.T'. The crowd was going crazy and jumping around lol. Then they played some new songs that will feature on the new album (that's gonna come out on may 29th... cant wait!) so we got a nice preview. 8:40 pm. Blindspott left the stage. Final preparation before Korn started 9:15 pm. Yep, it took over half an hour -_- seems they had troubles with the audio. Anyway, it was worth the wait. They (Korn) started with 'It's On!' and man, what better song to start with? Oh, but the stage was empty, except for the mic, and all you hear is that sound at the beginning of the song. Everyone recognized it and started screaming. The curtains then start to open but just in the middle part... and all you see is the drum set and David (drummer) started playing. [It helps if you've heard the song before lol]. Then the rest of the band arrives in front of the curtains and Jonathan kicked off "COME ON!! IT'S ON!!" and the crowd jumped like mad, it was awesome! After that song, the curtain opened completely and you could see the whole set... oh, the characters from the booklet of the album were there, the horse and the rabbit (from pic) along with the pig and a fourth one (not sure which one it was... the cat maybe? Yeah, let's just say it was). The horse was playing keyboard, the pig was the second drummer, the rabbit had percussions and the cat was the second guitar... cool stuff.
They played all the cool songs! Hits like 'Counting On Me', 'Falling Away From Me', 'Here To Stay', 'Got The Life', 'Freak On A leash', 'A.D.I.D.A.S' to name a few. As well as new songs like 'Twisted Transistors', 'Coming Undone' and 'Throw Me Away'. Everyone in the crowd was singing along, it was awesome.
Oh, one thing I liked was the guitar solo Munky did at one point (like half way through) while the horse was playing a nice and calm piano tune. Some people in the crowd were lighting their lighters up in the air... it was... beautiful lol XD.
The last song they played was 'Blind' and as it WAS the last one, everyone made sure to go even crazier, heh. 10:50 pm. Concert ended. I was soaked... like I jumped in a pool or something... and no it wasnt rain or anything... let's just say it was hot in there, lol. Well, it was crazy... everyone jumping and pushing like mad, I was so tired and sore afterwards heh... ah but it was all worth it. Oh, and I almost lost a shoe again in all the action, haha. It started coming off but I managed to keep at least my toes in XP.
Anyway, after the concert I had to wait for a cab to pass by. It was cold, my clothes were wet, my legs hurt and I was tired... that wasnt very pleasant. 12:20 am. I finally got a ride home. Yes, I waited a pretty long time before I could finally get a cab -_-. I got home, took a hot shower then went straight to bed.
Annnd that's how it went... that was one awesome concert, worth every dollar I spent that day, yep. Heh, I've been listening to Korn all week after that.
And shit that's a long post lol... if you read it all, congrats... if not, well that's just too bad now, isnt it? Lol, j/k it's okay if you didnt.

Hey y'all! How's it going? Had a nice weekend? Well, mine was alright... except now the break comes to an end *sigh* oh well, overall I had a nice break. 8 weeks before winter break starts, I cant wait! Lol.
The weather cleared up a bit... in my area anyway... there's still some flooding going on in other parts. It's like that pretty much every year around winter time.
Anyway, as to what I've been up to... I didnt update yesterday cos I really had nothing much to say. Well, I did go to the movies tho... I went to see Inside Man. And well, it was pretty good, I liked it. It's about a man who planned out the perfect bank robbery... and yes, he did think of everything, that guy's a genius! Ah, but I dont wanna spoil it. Heh, it's quite funny sometimes too... especially some of the dialogues. The movie has quite a good cast too... Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster and Clive Owen (Sin City). A good movie overall... you should see it.
And that's pretty much all that happened... nothing else to say... no wait there was something... hmmm... oh yeah, KORN IS GONNA BE ON CONCERT HERE!! And guess who's going? Heh, that's right, me! Man, it's gonna be so awesome! Oh, and it's tomorrow night... sorry I didnt tell you sooner, heheh lol. Kinda sucks it has to be on the first day back from the break but hey, I wouldnt miss it for anything... and besides, I dont have class on tuesday so it's all good, heh. And it's not just Korn either... Blindspott is gonna be there too!! [Some of you dont know them... they're a NZ band so yeah... I did put some of their song on my site before so some of you know of them. They rock.] That's just another reason not to miss it. There're also two other NZ metal bands... 8 Foot Sativa and Dawn Of Azazel... I dunno much about them but heck, more metal! Lol. It's gonna be one awesome concert indeed... I cant wait!!
