   Japanese Lesson 5!!
today was a much better day (and i'm talking about the 22nd, even though it says the 23rd on the post ^^;). to start off... the bus was on time! heh

and also when i came home my friend told me that he was feeling much better! ^^ which made me so much happier and less stressed out, even though i probably should be worried about this one thing... but i don't think i will be talking about that. ^_^;;

lately i've been experimenting with realism, but i find both anime and realism challenging ^^; but i guess if it wasn't challenging then anyone could sell their work for millions of dollars xD i drew a picture of mana-sama in my planner realistically, i'll try to get it scanned once i fix the scanner.

i wonder if i'm going to become one of those "i used to do anime but now i'm starting to like realism" people who draw amazing pictures of gackt or mana or miyavi... if you've ever browsed the deviantART digital paintings/airbrushing portraits section you'll know what i mean. but no, you have to be extremely talented to do that so i don't think i'll be like one of those people -_-U

We had an entirely different set of subjects today, so that was good too. and i have some japanese for you after like 3 weeks of not having any of my lessons posted.

This, That, and That Over There

To refer to something as "this" (or something close to you) say "Kore"

To refer to something as "that" (something semi-far away from you) say "Sore"

To refer to something as "that over there" (something far away from both you and the person you are talking to) say "Are"

Pronounciation:

Kore - Kohreh (although the r is a kind of strange letter in the japanese language...)

Sore - Sohreh

Are - Ahreh

EXAMPLE
"What do you call this in Japanese?"
Kore wa nihongode nanto iimasuka?

*you can replace sore with are or sore, or something from the english language ("love" wa...)

To answer:
--- to iimasu.
meaning: "it's called ---"
