Off-Road
How manies of ya's peoples off-road? Or 4X4? Which ever. Cuase it's awesome! There's a couple of these off-raod races that are totally intanse. One's Dakar. It's a rally race starting up in france and going all the way through down to Africa. Dakar, Africa to be exact. The other one is called the Baja 1000. Now, Dakar is a pretty big and nerve-raking race, but the Baja 1000 makes it seem like a walk in the park! The Dakar has a span of over 500 miles. That's a long ways to go. And you can only do it in one vehicle. So if your s=transportation breaks, your outta there! There's three divinsions though. There's the trucks, which are these HUGE van type cars that are like a freakin' elephant running rampant through the desert; the cars, which are just like your typical mini explorer; and the bikes, which are HUGE dirtbikes that are as heavy as hell XD. There is a single driver for the entire thing which is really quiet exhuasting.
The Baja 1000 on the other hand, is twice as long as the Dakar rally. 1000 miles! Hence the name Baja "1000". It starts in Ensanada then travels down the length of Baja. This race has tehcnically speaking 4 catagories. Dirt-bike, trophy truck, million-dollar dune bugs, and old-school bugs. The dirt-bikes are your run of the mill dirt-bikes with all the accessories. Then the quads also go in that catagory, and just as the bikes, it's got all the latest gear. The trophy trucks are those decked out trucks that are ultra wide and are raised in the front with the high fenders. 909er style baby! The millio-dollar dune bug is called "million-dollar" becuase it costs at least 1 mill. just to maintain it @_@ An dthe old-school bugs are open to everyone. Now, every other catagory has the vehicle all decked out, but the bugs get nothing, natta, zip, zilch. There the true spirit of the Baja 1000. They don't race to win, but rather to complete. That's almost the soul point of racing in the Baja 1000.
