Finally...
Today was pretty interesting, to say in the least.

In Art, we did more of those...scritch-scratch paper/picture thingies...I can't say. ><

Anyway, we were supposed to do Easter-themed ones,, so I did an Easter egg and the cross where Jesus was hung.

Then I did Kakashi. :3

OMG, that was the first Kakashi drawing I did that came out right and I didn't even look at the manga! ^0^
I felt so happy for the rest of the period...

In Tennis, we had to wait the first seven mintues or so, because neither of the coaches were out yet. So we hung around and chit-chatted a bit.

Will said Naruto sucked.

* BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! *

He also said Bionicle sucked, last year.

* BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! *

How dare he insult my interests? ;_;
LEGO and Masashi Kishimoto must UNITE! XD j/k

Still, that sort of upset me (even if he was just teasing) <_<

I played against Kirby again today. She kept on sounding like she was a radio announcer for a baseball game or something! :D
She called out all the points for herself though, and 'disqualified' me and not letting me play Connect Four.

But Connect Four is one my my most favorite games! ;_;
I've played and loved it ever since I was five years old! (and I'm really good at it. That's why I call myself 'the Queen on Connect Four' :P)

In Science, we didn't have to give out that presentation (about bringing an object to school and show how it represents the Three Laws of Motion) today, because the majority of us didn't bring our items. I remembered (at the very last minute, last night. ><) but my partner (the one Kirby calls the 'pervert') did not. So, we discussed it over and both agreed she'd bring her items on Mon.
Then we chatted (the first time in Science where I actually socialized with another student. Oo) and we discussed our interests, what websites we go on, church, music. I found out that she's part German and part Jewish (to which I was both surprised and pleased by; it's always an honor for me to meet an Isrealite! I haven't met too many...) and I told her that my heritage comes from Romania. :D

In Pre-Algebra, we did SLEEK and then I played Spell Dodger. Sure, it's only for 6th graders, but who said we 8th graders couldn't play it? XD
In the end, I got on 5th place in the Hall of Fame on Spell Dodger.

In English, we tested, and I'm sure I did pretty good.

In Computer Lit. we finished watching the webisodes, did a worksheet based on it, and then practiced our typing.

In American History, I did my Ch. 11 foldable.

And now, today's Naruto-character AMV is...Hinata!

*cheers!*

I really like this vid; it fits Hinata so well! AND it supports the NaruHina thing, so that's something to be happy about! ^_^

Me~ So, Hinata, would you like to close for us?

Hinata~ Y-Yes...um...t-thank you for watching...hope you have a nice day! *^_^*

Naruto~ Hey Hinata!

Hinata~ N-Naruto-kun! O_O

Naruto~ Say, you wanna go our for some ramen? My treat.

Hinata: O-Okay! Thank you, Naruto-kun! ^0^

Me~ Aren't they sweet, folks? Of course they are...^_^

One more day to survive...
I got a random quote here...

"I'm the monkey guy! I love monkeys!"

...

Yeah...I just made that up now. ^_^;

Since our school is preparing for the state test during these last two weeks, they're cramming us with work (but I'm doing pretty good).

In Art, we had a substitute (again) and I practiced drawing Yondaime. Let me tell you...I suck. :P

In Tennis, we had a free day (yay!) and I got to play Anything Goes with Kirby. She was being all hyper-ish and acting like Kiba, and I...I have NO idea who I was today. ;_;

In Science, we went to the computer lab to take a Science quiz/test on a website, and I did fairly well. Mrs. T told me that Kogatana wanted to say hi to me. Hee hee. ^_^

In Pre-Algebra, we played Jeopardy. Our version of it, anyway, which is dull. ESPECIALLY with all the immature boys screaming and throwing stuff at each other. <_<

In English, we discussed our homework that we had to write down from our textbook.

In Computer Lit. we watched some webisodes. This boy (we fought in 4th grade and I've never really liked him) said I write fast. *scoff* Well, of COURSE I write fast; and type fast too.
So far, my speed is 80 words per minute.

In American History I finished my vocab. cards and we learned our test results yesterday. A lot of the kids flunked, because I kept on hearing my teacher calling out '--you got a 67.' '--73' '63'

I passed with playing colors, with a 90. That was the only 'A' I heard her call out. Or I might not have been paying TOO much attention, because I wanted to finish my vocab.

I got a 100 on that too. :P
American History is the BEST!

Today, little Lucy (our pet pug puppy) is 10 months old! She's really grown a lot, but even now, she still looks a lot like a puppy! And she's changed from when we first got her, too!

For the next few days, I will be putting up Naruto AMVs, one day will be based a certain Naruto character. Today, I have the honor of presenting the first Naruto AMV on Hahligirl's otaku...Gaara! *cheers*

And also...Kogatana wanted me to put this, so to end his endless whining, I'll put this up as well (although I do like this vid myself) :P

Me~And so, since today is Gaara's Day (with the AMV), how 'bout we let him end today's post? With your permission, of course, Kirby. :P

Gaara~Thank you for reading...and now I must go back to Kirby. ^0^ *leaves*

Me~Well, he seems really happy today! ^_^

Lucky one, Kirby.

We got the best anime guys! *_*

Sitting in my neglected corner, alone...
Today is Palm Sunday, where we remember Jesus riding throught the city, riding on a colt, while the Jews are praising him and calling him 'Hosanna'.

Later that week, Jesus was crucified, on the chocie of the same people. Weird, huh? But it all worked out to where we learn that Jesus will make the ultimate sacrifice, just because he loves us all. ^_^

Today is also April Fools Day, but that doesn't seem as important to me as this. Easter is the holiest day of the year, after all, in the Christian calander.

Since it's Easter, I want to put up a story I read, and it's rather sweet/sad:

Jeremy's Egg

Jeremy was born with a twisted body, a slow mind and a chronic, terminal illness that had been slowly killing him all his young life. Still, his parents had tried to give him as normal a life as possible and had sent him to St. Theresa's Elementary School.

At the age of 12, Jeremy was only in second grade, seemingly unable to learn. His teacher, Doris Miller, often became exasperated with him. He would squirm in his seat, drool and make grunting noises. At other times, he spoke clearly and distinctly, as if a spot of light had penetrated the darkness of his brain. Most of the time, however, Jeremy irritated his teacher. One day, she called his parents and asked them to come to St. Teresa's for a consultation.

As the Forresters sat quietly in the empty classroom, Doris said to them, "Jeremy really belongs in a special school. It isn't fair to him to be with younger children who don't have learning problems. Why, there is a five-year gap between his age and that of the other students!"

Mrs. Forrester cried softly into a tissue while her husband spoke. "Miss Miller," he said, "there is no school of that kind nearby. It would be a terrible shock for Jeremy if we had to take him out of this school. We know he really likes it here."

Doris sat for a long time after they left, staring at the snow outside the window. Its coldness seemed to seep into her soul. She wanted to sympathize with the Forresters. After all, their only child had a terminal illness. But it wasn't fair to keep him in her class. She had 18 other youngsters to teach and Jeremy was a distraction. Furthermore, he would never learn to read or write. Why waste any more time trying?

As she pondered the situation, guilt washed over her. "Oh God," she said aloud, "here I am complaining when my problems are nothing compared with that poor family! Please help me to be more patient with Jeremy."

From that day on, she tried hard to ignore Jeremy's noises and his blank stares. Then one day he limped to her desk, dragging his bad leg behind him. "I love you, Miss Miller," he exclaimed, loudly enough for the whole class to hear. The other children snickered, and Doris' face turned red. She stammered, "Wh-Why, that's very nice, Jeremy. Now please take your seat."

Spring came, and the children talked excitedly about the coming of Easter. Doris told them the story of Jesus, and then to emphasize the idea of new life springing forth, she gave each of the children a large plastic egg. "Now," she said to them, "I want you to take this home and bring it back tomorrow with something inside that shows new life. Do you understand?"

Yes, Miss Miller!" the children responded enthusiastically - all except for Jeremy. He just listened intently, his eyes never left her face. He did not even make his usual noises. Had he understood what she had said about Jesus' death and resurrection? Did he understand the assignment? Perhaps she should call his parents and explain the project to them. That evening, Doris' kitchen sink stopped up. She called the landlord and waited an hour for him to come by and unclog it. After that, she still had to shop for groceries, iron a blouse and prepare a vocabulary test for the next day. She completely forgot about phoning Jeremy's parents.

The next morning, 19 children came to school, laughing and talking as they placed their eggs in the large wicker basket on Miss Miller's desk. After they completed their Math lesson, it was time to open the eggs. In the first egg, Doris found a flower. "Oh yes, a flower is certainly a sign of new life," she said. "When plants peek through the ground we know that spring is here." A small girl in the first row waved her arms. "That's my egg, Miss Miller," she called out.

The next egg contained a plastic butterfly, which looked very real. Doris held it up. "We all know that a caterpillar changes and grows into a beautiful butterfly. Yes that is new life, too" Little Judy smiled proudly and said, "Miss Miller, that one is mine."

Next Doris found a rock with moss on it. She explained that the moss, too, showed life. Billy spoke up from the back of the classroom. "My Daddy helped me!" he beamed.

Then Doris opened the fourth egg. She gasped. The egg was empty! Surely it must be Jeremy's, she thought, and, of course, he did not understand her instructions. If only she had not forgotten to phone his parents. Because she did not want to embarrass him, she quietly set the egg aside and reached for another.

Suddenly Jeremy spoke up. "Miss Miller, aren't you going to talk about my egg?" Flustered, Doris replied, "but Jeremy - your egg is empty!" He looked into her eyes and said softly, "Yes, but Jesus' tomb was empty too!"

Time stopped. When she could speak again. Doris asked him, " Do you know why the tomb was empty?"

"Oh yes!" Jeremy exclaimed. "Jesus was killed and put in there. Then his Father raised him up!"

The recess bell rang. While the children excitedly ran out to the school yard, Doris cried. The cold inside her melted completely away.

Three months later Jeremy died. Those who paid their respects at the mortuary were surprised to see 19 eggs on top of his casket, all of them empty.

*************************************************

I love that story. ^_^

Anyway, we went to church today.

This morning, I got to participate in a skit of Rahab and the two spies; actally, ONE spy, if you go by the way the lines worked. (I got to be the spy XD)

Today was a bit odd in Sunday School; we didn't meet in our usual spot. We met where the high school first sit in. O_o

I kinda got neglected in the end, when we about to leave (everyone forgot about poor Alta and didn't make me any room for me to be in. ;_;)

Thankfully, my teacher let me in, but I still feel bad about that.

No Sunday school next Sun.--only church! :D

From what I heard, we'll be off this Fri. (by 'we' I mean our school) XD

I think we'll be going to school next week only for Monday, however, due to the earlier winter problems in Jan./Feb. (whatever)

Sakumo Hatake and a young Kakashi, talking to each other...(AAAAAAWWWW!) ^0^
You know, it wasn't too long ago that I noticed the wolf in that picture...hm.

But there's like a billion other Kakashi fan-girls too...*sigh*

Makes me feel inferior...

   *Browsing over*
*Sigh*

Today, I've been trying to find out more about Flash animation. I know absolutely NOTHING about it, yet I promised Kirby-chan I'd try to find out about it...

Promises can be so hard to keep if you hardly know anything about the same area you promised to look at. I found good downloading links, yes, but I know NOTHING about it!

It's times like these when you need to call in an expert. I'm going to try to ask a few people I know on BZPower.com about it, but I can't really expect much from the result.

Oh well. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, I guess. I'll just have to keep working on it, and learn as I go.

Although, Kirby-chan, it would be a great relief if you helped me along with this researching as well...what do you say? Please?

*************************************************

Yesterday, our small, humble town was almost hit by a tornado. *shudders*

My brother kinda went over the bound of duty, and gathered everything together, in case we would have to hide in the bathroom or closet.

I was afraid for our dogs, though. I was afraid that if they didn't have any common sense, they'd be running around, and possibly get struck by lightning (hey, it could happen!)

Lucy, being a house dog, would be safe...and causing us mischief while we were watching the news with anxiety! XD

I wanted to get them inside the the porch area, where I was pretty sure they'd be safe, but my mom said they'd be fine.

We kept on watching the weather channel, and I told everyone of how good a thing the electricity wasn't out...yet, anyway.

After watching till about 5:20, the weather man said calld out the names of the towns that were safe--praise the Lord! Our town was one of the ones listed!

Shortly after, that same weather man announced that a tornado had just reached contact with the ground somewhere near us.

The location of the tornado was in a town, right under us a little bit. Saved by a milestone! That was WAY too close for comfort. WAY too close.

That's it.

Gaara and ANBU Kakashi.
Seems a bit strange, seeing them together, doesn't it?

Still, I really, REALLY like it. :D

   *Types away*
Well, I don't have a lot of time to be on today, because I want to work on my project.

In Art, I finished my cocon--erm...pot! :P

In Tennis, Me and Kirby just chatted with each other, since today was Picture Day.

I loathe Picture Day. -_-

In Science, we watched (yet again) a Bill Nye the Sciece Guy video. :D

In Pre-Algebra, we discussed different shapes (ie-Pentagon, decagon, hexagon, etc.)

In English we went over our homework and we have a test tommorow...

In Computer Lit. (after we did pictures) we did Tech Connect or Mavis Beacon (typing programs)

In American History, I finished my Ch. 10 Review, so I'm ahead of the others, and I found out I'm making a 101 for my report card! XD

Kogatana (my brother) did drew two comics fo me (he made this series just for me called Kakashi Chronicles, and it's a really funny series...even if he does spell a lot of things wrong)
One was based off of the end of Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and another was based on a joke he heard:

Kakashi (dressed as Capatin Jack Sparrow): (to Commodore) "I was rooting for you the whole time, mate." (turns to Elizabeth) "Elizabeth...it would have never worked out between us." (to Will) "Will...nice hat...
Friends! You will remember this day as the day you almost caught--"

(falls off)

Elizabeth: "Jack?"

Will: "I knew it; he was a fake!"

And also:

Naruto: "Hey sensei, I have a question for you!"

Kakashi: "Shoot."

Naruto: "Pete and RePete were in their boat. Pete fell off of the boat. Who is in the boat now?"

Kakashi: "RePete."

Naruto: "Pete and RePete were in their boat. Pete fell off of the boat. Who is in the boat now?"

Kakashi: "RePete!"

Naruto: "Pete and RePete were in their boat. Pete fell off of the boat. Who is in the boat now?"

Kakashi: "REPETE!!! ...Oh."

So, here are the vids...enjoy! I sure did:

GASP! Zabuza, PLEASE put your mask back on, you annoying dunce! -_-

Naruto: "Kakashi! Kakashi! Hokage says that every time a snow's after an ex-water ninja elite dies means an angel gets it wings!"

Kakashi: "Naruto...you're an idiot."

That just makes me think of It's a Wonderful Life. :D

I want that milk carton! Then the whole book of Make-out Paradise will be read to me! XD

WAY TO GO ROCK LEE!!! THAT'S THE SPIRIT!!! :D
He's one of my Top 5 Naruto characters, after all. :D

WHOO!

Still, it's funny. :P

Heh heh...Gaara of the Funk! XD

*Gasp!*
Well, Lucy's feeling better today (poor girl; she fell asleep on the floor yesterday since she was so tired) :(

In Art, we began ceramics (hurrah)

In Tennis, we didn't go out today as it was raining and/or wet. :P

In Science, we took MORE notes. O_o

In Pre-Algebra, same. X_X

In English, we had a quiz.

In Computer Lit. I finished my video slide. (yay!)

And in American History, I got my puzzles done and got started on my review.

And I REALLY should work on my project soon! O_O

Neener neener XD
My online name is Hahligirl56, and it will ALWAYS be Hahligirl56. I've grown quite attached to that name. :D
Even if I am a big Kakashi fan-girl. :P

BTW, thanks for the Alta geisha picie, Kirby! ^_^

Here are the next vids:

LOL! I loved the part when Sasuke 'fought' the log...and lost. Sure, if you only have 2 HP, more than likely you WILL lose. XD

Again, LOL!
I also liked these lines:

Sasuke: (for Haku's Crystal Ice Mirrors attack) "Hey...I can see a lot of myself! I like this attack! Hey there, handsome!" (Later) "OMG...now I can only see Haku! It's like a bad fan-fiction!"

Haku: "What are you talking about? This is NOTHING like a fan-fiction! Now stand still while I thrust these pointy objects into your body!"

Heh...Zabuza and Kakashi don't fight. :P

Rain, rain, go away...:(
It didn't rain until near the end of the school day, and it was really pouring...like cats and dogs! XD

Oh, speaking of dogs, Lucy is sick. :(
She has this terrible itching problem, and she stayed up almost all night, without much sleep. I'm hoping she'll feel better soon; she's been a good dog today, though! I can't believe it's almost been a year since we got her...in August!

When we first got Lucy, she was all wrangly and mostly light blonde (not exactly attractive) and had a few sores on her body.

Now her ears have darkened up, she has the most CUTEST puppy eyes, her fur's become real soft, and her tail curls beautifully. :D

Anyway, the only homework I have is in American History, and a project in American History, which is due on Thurs. and I really should get started on it soon...><

In Art, mr. shade was gone today, so we had a substitute; we took notes on ceramics and did a puzzle.

In Tennis, we played several mini-games, and did extra running when we lost; both teams, suprisingly suffered the equal amount of punishments, and so it was a fair day there...O_o

In Science, we copied down vocabulary...
I don't know why, but Andrew, a boy in my Sci. class, likes ( or pretends...) to sit by me. Hey pretty much, I've been sitting in my Sci. desk all alone all year, and then that boy just happens to come along, put his stuff on the area next to MY stuff and says, "I'm going to sit with my baby Andrea today." I'm telling you, that's what he always says!!! O_O

It's not that I like Andrew (to tell you the truth, he's an annoying class clown, who lives in my area), but I guess it's just that I can't no. Another encounter with Mister Andrew (lol) is when my family and I were walking through the streets, and what did I see was Andrew, with his shirt off, since it was summer time, and him playing outside.
I almost always get nervous when I see someone I know outside of the school building; i just seems so embarresing to me...anyway, I was hoping he wouldn't catch a glimpse of us (ha, like that couldn't happen <_<) and, whaddya know, he says "Hey, Andrea."
'Course, I had to say hi too.

Andrew's still an annoying brat though...just not TOO annoying. ><

Ugh. MOST boys (thank heavens not all!) in middle and high school can be your worst nightmare...O_O

Oops. Getting off track...

In Pre-Algebra, we got a deeper insight on triangles, and I finished the worksheet that was supposed to be my homework before the beel rang...

In English, we spoke of Native Americans; their culture has always fascinated me, and I kind of admire them. ^_^

In Computer Lit. I was finally able to catch up...

And in American History, we worked on our inventions. I'm 'invented' an educational as well as enjoyable computer program which allows people to read any book or text they desire--the entire thing.

Ah, I saw a fanfic story about A young Kakashi (pre-Kakashi Gaiden)and I thought it was sad; nevertheless I enjoyed it. There were a couple of others similar to this, with Sasuke, Orochimaru...and someone else that I forgot.
I'd like to put it up here, author and all, so here it is:

Fragments (Kakashi)
by Lex

=================================

Kakashi looked up from his breakfast. “Tousan…” he began, hesitantly. “I didn’t think I did very well, but they promoted only me and about four other kids. It’s not because of…”

Pale blue eyes widened with surprise. “What?” Sakumo said. “It’s because you’re a quick little learner, that’s all. It wasn’t because of me.”

“Ah—I wasn’t going to…I mean…” Kakashi said, but trailed off. His father was famous. He had been worried that his promotion was only for that. It was a perfectly reasonable conclusion, so he didn’t know why he was trying to justify it.

“Hehe…” The older man grinned, the little scar at the corner of his mouth quirking up. “It’s a natural conclusion to come to, Kakashi. But Hokage-sama told me himself how well you did. You were clever and resourceful. You’re a chuunin now because of that. Orochimaru-san was talking about you, too. Everyone’s very impressed by you, and I’m sure that has very little to do with anything I’ve done.”

Kakashi smiled.

There was a knock at the door.

“Uh-oh, I’m late!” Sakumo said, standing up and putting his dishes in the sink. “Be sure to lock up before you go to meet your sensei.”

“I will.”

“Ii ko.” And he ruffled Kakashi’s hair before setting off down the hall.

“There you are,” huffed Okosa. “Hatake-kun, you’re really pushing it, being late so much. I’m glad I’m not normally teamed with you.”

Kakashi leaned over, trying to catch a glimpse of the two men out in the hall. He liked Higawa Okosa—the guy was a little grumpy, but he was shrewd, and a good fighter.

“Ah, I’m sorry, Higawa-kun. I was eating breakfast with my boy.”

“You spoil him too much,” Okosa snorted.

“Well, when you’ve got a child of your own, I’m sure you’ll spoil him, too.”

“Whatever. Now come on, before Yamanaka-kun starts to get all bent out of shape.”

“Itterasshai,” Kakashi called.

***

“Ooookay, who’s next?” the green-haired girl asked in a bored tone.

Kakashi stepped forward.

She glared down at him. “A broken wrist? You could’ve set this yourself, you little crybaby!”

“Oneesama,” her twin chided.

She pouted. “Hey…you look familiar.”

He looked at her.

A blush appeared on her face, and she pointed at him. “Ah! You look just like Sakumo-sama!” She went off into a daydream world, swooning and exclaiming to herself. “Oh, wonderful Sakumo-sama…if more men were like him, every girl would be happy! That hair…those eyes…even the little scar near those gorgeous lips! Wahhhh, he’s just so wonderful!”

Kakashi ruffled his hair. “Wow, is Tousan really that great?”

“Yes!” she said firmly. “He most definitely is, no matter what anyone says. And since you’re the darling son of the wonderful Sakumo-sama, I’ll go ahead and treat you just this once.” Then she practically shoved him into a chair and started the hand-seals for bone mending.

‘No matter what anyone says.’

He frowned. He heard the things they said; they weren’t particularly discreet about it.

They called his father a traitor, sometimes to his face. They avoided him as if he had some distasteful disease. They said he didn’t care about the village. They said he was selfish, and foolish.

And they said Kakashi was tainted.

***

Kakashi peeked warily through the crack in the shoji, telling himself that it was all right to eavesdrop on two adults who were deciding your future.

“I’m very honored to have you in my house, Orochimaru-san,” Sakumo was saying, smiling so that the scar on his mouth quirked just a little.

Orochimaru didn’t smile. Then again, for the whole week that he had watched Kakashi and asked questions, he’d never smiled. Maybe he just didn’t smile, as a rule. There were people like that. “The boy is very talented,” he said. “As you know, before your son, I held the record for being the youngest shinobi in Konohagakure to achieve the rank of chuunin. Such an exceptional gift must be properly nurtured.”

“Yes, you’re correct, of course,” Sakumo agreed, nodding.

“I’ve never taken a pupil before, but I would be willing to apply myself to your son’s further training.”

Kakashi fidgeted.

Being trained by one of the Sannin…by one of the most skilled ninja in the entire village…by the protégé of Sandaime-Hokage-sama himself…

It was exciting, and perhaps just a little daunting.

“Of course it would be an honor!” Sakumo said, but Kakashi could hear the nervous hesitation in his tone.

“But?” Orochimaru prompted.

Sakumo grinned sheepishly. “I only wonder if…well, he’s very young, after all, and I worry that he’ll have trouble fitting in if he excels too quickly. After all, as you said yourself, Orochimaru-san, he’s now the youngest chuunin in the history of the village, so there will be no one who can relate to him, or befriend him.”

A sudden dreadful cold radiated from Orochimaru. “A shinobi has no need for friends. We are tools of our village, nothing more. We exist to become more skilled.”

“Ah, but he’s also human, and he is my son.”

“Don’t be foolish, Sakumo-san,” Orochimaru said. “What sort of life would he be able to have, playing with children his age, after the things you’ve done? Don’t children already shy away from the son of a man who aborted such an important mission for something as foolish and worthless as the lives of three teammates? What chance would he have at being assigned to a skilled trainer, to a balanced chuunin team? I can tell you now that only a true professional or a socially unconscious idiot would accept that tainted boy as his student.”

Sakumo wilted at that. “Ah…there is that, isn’t there,” he said somberly.

Kakashi bit his lip. Tainted. They did say that about him.

He thought (not for the first time) that it might be better if people didn’t know who he was, didn’t look at his face and see his father. He thought it might be better if he cut his face up or wore a mask. He wondered if cutting off all the skin would get rid of that so-called ‘taint.’

He hated his face, and that made him feel ashamed. How could he hate his father’s face? It was unworthy of him. He told himself that he was being stupid. He told himself he loved his father, and should be proud to resemble him so. He should be proud to resemble his hard-working father, who stayed with him and tried his best for him.

“And so it is fortunate that I am, above all, a true professional,” Orochimaru finished smoothly. “In all honesty, I have no opinion regarding you or your actions, and even if I did, such a thing would not blind me to the raw talent your son possesses. Will you or will you not allow me to train him?”

“I suppose I have no choice,” Sakumo relented. “For the good of my son…I entrust him to your care.” And he bowed.

Kakashi admired Orochimaru’s ruthlessness. The man was so cold, so logical, so matter-of-fact…the embodiment of ninja regulations.

“Kakashi-kun.”

He tensed, but Orochimaru just lifted a hand. “Come here.”

Sheepishly, he slid the door open and came in, taking a seat.

“And what do you think about this?” Orochimaru asked. “Would you like to become my student?”

“Hai!” he answered immediately.

Orochimaru smiled. Just a little. “Excellent. I will return at seven tomorrow morning.”

***

And so he began his training under Orochimaru. It was hard work, and he got the feeling that he was learning things that even jounin didn’t know, but it was satisfying. It was much better to be thought of as talented and capable than to be seen as the child of a dishonored ninja.

Within a week, he was busy with exercises that would hone his ability to focus his chakra in parts of his body other than his feet. Orochimaru had demonstrated the usefulness of such a skill by stabbing his finger through a tree, which had thoroughly impressed Kakashi.

So, he was doing some strength exercises on water—pushups, hand-stands, all sorts of things. He’d gotten pretty good at it, but Orochimaru said he still wasted too much chakra, so he kept training.

“That’s enough chakra exercises for today,” Orochimaru called from the bank of the river. “I have a jutsu scroll I want you to study. I expect you to be able to perform the technique on a rudimentary level by this time tomorrow.”

Kakashi hopped back onto dry land. “Hai, sensei!” he said, taking the small scroll and immediately unrolling it to start reading.

“Horaa, mitsuketa!” someone called loudly from the direction of the village.

When Kakashi looked up, the first impression he got was…hair. Lots of hair. The man striding toward them had a huge, spiky mane of white hair. After that, he realized how big the man was—taller and broader than most men in the village. And the last impression was his triumphant grin (which made him look just a little bit stupid).

Somewhere behind him, he thought he heard Orochimaru curse under his breath, but he dismissed the idea. His sensei had entirely too much self control to curse.

“You’ve been avoiding me, haven’t you, hebi-teme?” the big man accused, pouting when he finally stood before them. “Me! Your best friend!”

“Friend or not, Jiraiya, you can’t monopolize my time,” Orochimaru said impatiently.

“Hmph!” the man grunted, scowling down at Kakashi. “I suppose this is your fault, eh, kid? Some fancy brat shows up and it’s like his birthday came early… Well, you can’t monopolize him either, okay? I had him first!”

“Jiraiya!” Orochimaru growled.

“Jeez, you’re no fun these days, Orochi!”

“Oh? I seem to recall you weren’t nearly so interested before your team decided they were ready to split up. How is that idiotic Musashi boy of yours, anyway?”

“He’s brilliant, and he’s fine, thanks. And it’s not like you even noticed I was gone, since every time I visited you had your damn nose in a book! Stop wasting so much time on this tainted brat and come drinking with us.”

Kakashi nearly dropped the scroll in his hands as his heart skipped a beat.

Orochimaru was, above all, a professional. That was why he trained a ‘tainted’ child.

No one would know, he told himself. If he wore a mask for the rest of his life, no
one would know whose son he was. No one would know that he was tainted.

And if his father asked...he’d say...he’d just say... He’d say it was to make him more mysterious. Girls liked mysterious men. It was to get girls. It wasn’t because he was ashamed of his face... How could he be ashamed of the face of someone who was so loyal to him, who took care of him so well?

“By your use of ‘us,’ I can only assume you have a toad in your pocket,” Orochimaru remarked acidly.

Jiraiya glared. “Stupid! I mean ‘us’ as in ‘me and Tsunade.’ It’s your birthday soon, and I just thought you might be willing to grace your old teammates with your presence.”

Kakashi glanced over his shoulder in time to see his sensei press his lips together in a thin frown.

“Don’t be an idiot, Jiraiya,” he hissed. “When have I ever managed to get you to leave me alone on my birthday? Never, that’s when. But there are more important things than being a year older.”

Jiraiya scowled at Kakashi again. Then he blinked. Then he slowly started to grin. “Oho! I get it. You’re turning thirty, so you’re worried that your beauty’s starting to fade. No wonder you don’t like the thought of celebrating another birthday!”

“Bakayarou!”

“Don’t worry, I’ll keep your secret for you, Orochi. But Tsunade will be really mad if you don’t show up to drink with us, so you better come.” Then Jiraiya left, snickering as he went.

“Ch’…” Orochimaru muttered. “Just read that, Kakashi-kun, and be ready to show me your progress tomorrow.” And he turned toward the village.

***

Several years later, Kakashi was standing frozen in the door of the dining room.

All he could really think properly was that the tatami would be ruined.

He’d run home as quickly as he could, to give his father the good news that Orochimaru had said he was ready to move on to a different teacher.

From the smell of the blood, Konohagakure’s White Fang had been dead for at least a couple of hours.

Kakashi couldn’t stand the sight of it. He ran.

He pounded at his sensei’s door.

Orochimaru showed no hint of emotion when he opened the door, when Kakashi clutched at his sleeves and told him what had happened.

“He abandoned me,” Kakashi finished.

Orochimaru considered him for a moment. “Your father disobeyed his orders,” he said, after a while. “And because of that, he became hated by this village. It was a hatred he bore only for the sake of raising you. When he saw that you were grown enough that you didn’t need him any longer, he escaped his guilt. While it’s true that there are those who would foolishly consider his actions heroism, this village is not kind to its heroes. In the end, the White Fang was a coward who died for nothing but fear.”

He didn’t want to be like his father anymore. He didn’t care about the niggling guilt anymore. He would hide his face, and act as differently from his father as he could imagine.

“Then I’ll become like you, Orochimaru-sensei,” Kakashi said firmly. “I’ll always follow regulations, and I’ll always do my duty as a shinobi of Konohagakure.”

“Do as you will,” Orochimaru said neutrally. “In any case, the time has come for the both of us to move on; you to a new teacher, I to a new pupil. I shall make sure that the mess in your home is cleaned up.”

***

“So!” Musashi said, grinning at his three new students. “Since I’m going to be your teacher, and you’re going to be my students, let’s get to know each other. Please introduce yourselves.”

“What should we say?” the young girl asked nervously.

He shrugged. “I suppose...your name, something you like, something you dislike, and your future goal. For instance, my name’s Uzumaki Musashi, I like high places, I dislike dishonesty, and my future goal is to become Hokage.”

The girl raised her hand. “I’m Morinari Rin, I like...um...” She blushed and glanced sidelong at the dark haired boy next to her. “I dislike sour foods, and my future goal is to become a medi-nin like Tsunade-hime.”

The boy with the goggles raised his hand next. “I’m Uchiha Obito! I like training, I dislike mean people, and my future goal is to become an elite ninja like my father!”

There was a long silence.

“Well, Hatake-kun?” Musashi prompted.

Kakashi raised his eyebrows. “Hatake Kakashi. I don’t feel like talking about my likes, dislikes, or goals.”

Obito scowled at him.

“Well...I suppose that’s your prerogative,” the blond jounin conceded. “But your teammates should still know a little something about you, if they’re going to trust you. Why do you wear that mask, for instance? I never saw you wearing one when I would visit Orochimaru-san while you were training.”

“I didn’t wear it back then,” Kakashi said. “It isn’t odd to see a ninja who wears a mask. In the old days, they used to wear them all the time. I just happen to feel like wearing one.”

Musashi stared at him for a while, until he squirmed under that honest blue gaze. “I don’t appreciate being lied to,” he said sternly.

Kakashi looked away. “I don’t want people to look at my face,” he said flatly. “Why else would someone wear a mask?”

“All right, then,” Musashi sighed. “It’s your right to keep secrets about yourself, but remember that people don’t trust a person who keeps too many secrets.”

“Whatever,” he said dismissively.

He didn’t care if no one ever trusted him. If no one trusted him, no one would try to get close to him. Just as Orochimaru had said all those years ago, he was tainted. He wouldn’t force such a thing on anyone else.

End

Er...well, it IS a fanfic...^_^;;

And now for something NOT so serious...:P

Poor starving, annoyed Kakashi...hey where can I get those CDs? :D
Nah, I'm kidding (seriously, who'd want to listen to THAT junk?! Oldies and foreign songs all the way!!!)

Ha ha! :D
I really enjoyed this particular part:

Sakura: "Um. so sensei, who was that girl we saw earlier?"

Kakashi: "Oh. She's from a band of rejected mimes. They got kicked out of mime school because they talk. ALL THE TIME."

Sasuke: "Then why'd they kill Zabuza?"

Kakashi: "Mmm-mm."

Naruto: "I thought you knew everything!"

Kakashi: (sarcastically) "Oh yeah. 'Kakashi knows everything. If we have a problem, Kakashi will know the answer. We can't do research ourselves! Quick, Kakashi, help us!'"

LOOOOOL! :D

Ooh. Long post.

Well, bye for today!

*snaps awake* Huh? What's going on?
Well, really boring day today. Wake me up later...

Huh? Oh, right.

I went to church today, and this time we sat in one of the front rows. Rebecca, as usual, threw in wise-cracks. :P

Also, Maruder (my firend on BZPower) finally came back from Six Flags (lucky, lucky, lucky! ><)

Oh well. Here are the vids:

I have to agree with the Leaf symbol, it didn't look at all like a leaf to me; I didn't even know it WAS a leaf until I read the manga.
Stupid symbols. <_<

The rower's not gone yet! :P
Sasuke, Sakura, Naruto, how dare you leave your teacher in the midst of a battle!!! ><

Bye.

Dance, cow, dance! :P
It's a beautiful day today!

Yet, here I am...on this computer.

Anyway, we might go into town today, to see Happy Feet with my dad. If I'm lucky, maybe we'll go to the bookstore; I want to see the new Bionicle Atlas book, and it should answer some questions! ^_^

Anyway, I found a nice Naruto - Numa Numa vid, and here it is!

I'm glad this is a Romanian song! ^_^

*Sigh* It's times like these when I listen to this song, that I truly become proud of my heritage as a Romanian descendant. :D
ROMANIAN SONGS ROCK!!!
And Italian.
And Greek.
And Carribean, Irish, Japanese, Jewish/Isreali, Spanish, Cuban, and Mexican. ^_^;;

Also, here are two more of the Naruto : The Abridged Series vids!

*Gasp* Hinata, how COULD you?! ;_;
No, wait! You're not Hinata, you're an IMPOSTER! The REAL Hinata would have common sense!
Also...is it me, or does Kakashi sound like a teen? Ah, well, he sounds cute. :P

Yikes, Sakura is evil in this episode! O_o
Not to mention crappy-sounding! :P

"It's log, log,
it's big, it's heavy, it's wood,
it's log, log--"
"It's better than bad, it's good."
LOL! :D

And I'm also really happy that Kirby-chan approves of my fanfic (mostly because I'm not really good at writing fanfics...especially romantic ones)

FINALLY: I want to ask you a riddle I heard at school:

"What is greater than God, more evil than the Devil, the poor have it, the rich don't have it, and if you eat it, you'll die?"

Bye! :D

IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!
Yup, it's Friday! ^_^
No school for two whole days!

But...wouldn't it be more enjoyable if we had the whole year off? :P

Ha ha ha...sure. <_<

Also...Kirby-chan! ^_^
I told you I wanted to make a Gaara/Tensai fanfic just for you, so here goes... (if it sucks, please don't throw fruit at me; I'm not very good at romantic stories O_O)

Tensai gazed out at the lake at night. She and Gaara were vacationing at a peaceful area at the Land of Fire, and Tensai was enjoying every moment of it.
The next Kazekage had not been chosen yet, although Gaara had hopes of his lot. Tensai hoped, more than anything in the world, that his race would be won; that his greatest desire to be recognized as a human being and not a monster, would come true.
"Hello, Tensai..." A quiet voice softly interrupted the momentary silence. Tensai looked to see Gaara standing over her, smiling shyly at her. She could feel herself blushing..."May I sit with you?" he asked quietly.
"Yes, you may," Tensai replied with a small smile, still blushing. Both quietly gazed out at the lake. It was indeed a beautiful, beautiful sight. The moon was full, and its reflection gazed upon the lake, so that its ripples carried its white, gentle light. The grass seemed so soft, and newborn spring flowers were slowly blossoming in the dead of night. The weather was warm, and the stars illuminated the sky along with the moon, a beautiful, cloudless...and romantic setting.
Tensai gazed across the lake, wondering what she should say. To her surprise, Gaara spoke first. "I saw Naruto earlier today, while you were sleeping..." he began. "It is always a pleasure to meet with that strange boy...so stupid, yet so unique; he changed me." He smiled, remembering. "He taught me to love again." Tensai looked to gaze at him when, to her surprise, she saw that Gaara was looking at her too! She gasped quietly. He grinned. "You look beautiful tonight, Tensai...especially here."
Without any warning of any kind, Tensai felt herself being drawn to him, as well as Gaara to her. She had known him, yes, and they had talked...
But both felt love's touch again. Love for each other...
Tensai felt gentle lips come into intact with her own, and she felt as if she were in paradise...
Soon, the kiss finally broke up, although both felt as though it were too soon. Tensai gave Gaara another smile. "Gaara-kun...I know you will be the next Kazkage! I just know it!"
This time, Gaara blushed. "I'm happy to know that you have confidence in me, Tensai."
"Oh, much more than that!" She gently leaned against Gaara's chest. She could feel his heartbeat. "Whatever happens, I'll stand by your side all the way..."
Gaara and Tensai both gazed out on the lake, on the beautiful night, remembering each other, and their wonderful kiss...

END!

Well, Kirby, I hope you like this, because it's for you! If it doesn't meet up with what you like, I'm sorry, I tried to come up with a good, romantic setting...
Hope you like it!!! ^_^

Also, the next Bionicle comic FINALLY came to our mailbox today (whoohoo!):P
I'll be looking at it in a second...

Anyway, nothing much happened today at school...so...on with the vids!

This is my favorite out of the Naruto dance flashes. I remember that I was at HEB, and I was recognized the song that Gaara and Sasuke song (and it was one whole song, although it was to its full length) and as I listened, I couldn't help laughing, because I remembered this video. "Mama Mia! Mama Mia!" :P

And also...

This has NO serious stuff whatsoever. :P
So...funny!
