Merry Grimas
I hope the holidays have been good to all my friends here on the MyO, and hope only the best for all of you, but rightnow I'd like to pose a rather bleak question. In the face of the, what is normally veiwed as, a cheerful and festive time of the year, why is it the suicide rate is never higher then during this holiday season. That's right, the christmas season is the highest point of the year for suicide related death in america. All I want to pose as the question is a simple yet intriguing one, why? What is it about the holidays that has sent people to such a desperate and tragic act? Does anyone understand this, because to be honest, it boggles me completely. These last few days with my family and just absorbing the beuaty of the air around me has given me nothing but the positive vibes to keep my head up and march onward. So why do so many turn to this false answer? This act of sadness, tragedy and cowardess.
