damn . . . sory i haven't posted in a while. just been too busy. it's only been two months one month into the new school year and i already had to stay up until 4 am for a craptastic essay/paper . . . YAY!
anyways, i have some weird band drama i need to report before this battery dies . . .
OCT 4:
competition at south brunswick
we got their, performed and got scored. be got second place and lost first by about a point. we're sitting in the stands watching the all the larger groups perform. then ryan, bass drum, comes to us looking all paranoid saying he just got a call from his mom and dad saying that they were in the band room. they had found out that someone, who obviously new we were gonna be away until 11pm, broke in searching through people's stuff and pink lockers and instrument lockers. the cops were there. we started freaking out. but the word hasn't spread to everyone yet. we end up leaving early with the band parents taking our cellphones away, just so we would spread anything cuz we didn't actually know what we happening yet. we got back early. cops were there and we piled into the auditorium. we were informed that the band room was in fact broken into but they didn't really know that it was searched cuz it's always messy. they let us it at 5 at a time and told us to report anything that was missing, take our stuff and leave. nothing of mine was stolen but i know it was searched(inside out pants). but my friend's car keys(and house keys) were stolen. some people's money was taken. lockers were opened. one of the drum major's keys were stolen, and car was trashed with the keys locked inside. fingerprints were found but the police said they couldn't really do anything cuz it's probably juvie. creepy . . .
OCT 5:
competition at JP Stevens
arrived, performed, scored, placed. only got 3rd place but with best marching and crappy judges anyway. on our way back, one of our buses crash into a car. driver's fault. it was bus one. i was initially supposed to be on that bus, but since something happened the night before, i decided to switch. the next two school days, it was revealed that out of the counted 23 people or so, they only had 22 and someone was missing. idk. that part was retarded cuz they started interrogating people . . .
OCT 11
competition at hilssborough hs
during practice, our pit set up was closer than usual. the rack was too close to the keyboard instruments. but when i had to run back and forth, i was fine. during the last run through, i tripped over the rack and landed on my hands and knees. it hurt like a bitch. but i was fine. later i found bruises on my knees and my left elbow and left wrist twinged randomly and really stung. but it was fine. during our performance, i elbow started to twinge. it reminded me of running to the other side. i put my mallets down and then realized i was at the wrong part ad totally missed my awesome syncopated cymbal entrance. dammit!!! yeah. that's it. it still hurts now. i'm gonna wrap it in the morning. but we still won first place in group 3, with over 84 pts, best percussion(YAY!!!), best music and overall best effect.
yeah . . . that's it. i won't have time to visit all your sites right now, so if you're commenting this, i shall return the favor like tomorrow or something . . . toodles!!!
MANGO TANGO!!!! +(^_^)+
