Angels who live up high,
Up in the clouds,
Up in the sky.

Have always protected us,
The Angels in the Sky,
Making sure nothing bad,
Happens to us.

Though you can not see,
These unshed tears,
Doesn't mean they're not there.

To cry yourself to sleep,
Which I do every night,
Would you stay beside me,
Even after I take flight?

Even though,
I am not of this world,
How can you betray,
The Angels of the Lord.

From what has protected you,
Through the hard times,
