   Halloween!!!
Yay! No matter how crappy my week's been, getting candy and dressing up in crazy costumes always cheers me up!! Yay! I had so much fun! I went Trick-or-Treating for about two hours, walking around in heels. So, my feet hurt reeeeeeeeal bad. Pffy. Oh, well. It was worth it. Oh, yeah! My week's been crappy cuz my boyfriend broke up with me. Why he had to do it at lunch AND on a Monday, which pretty much dooms my whole week to sadness and emoness, is beyond me. But, c'est la vie.

Honestly!
I have not posted anything in a heckuva long time. I wanna fix that, right here and now. Updates? Uh... Tomorrow's the district meet for XC (whooh! great fun!), and it's on a course we've already ran on. Unfortunately, last time we ran it, it was .8 of a mile more than it was supposed to be. I hope they correct that mistake. But, oh well. I have a new boyfriend! Actually, he's not new, but it's only been about a month, so, uh, he's new! >:P

Home Coming!!!
Does anyone know if that's one word? I dunno. But, oh well. Next week is homecoming! Yay!!! I can't wait! I actually got a date today. My mom thinks I said it up, and, if I did, my apologies. I can't wait, though, 'cuz next week is Spirit Week, and we get to dress up. Monday's PJ day! wOOt for PJ's!!! Hopefully, my date can dance... Lolz.

...
Today was my first day of high school. Actually, not really. Tomorrow will be. See, only the Frosh came. It was pretty crowded, nonetheless. I got lost more than one time. At least I had friends who knew (somewhat) what they're doing. Lolz. I got reaquainted (however you spell that) with a friend I haven't seen since a track meet last year. So, yeah. High school. Fun.

The Chupacabra
Has a Mythical Beast Turned Up in Texas?
2007-08-31 20:00:00
The Associated Press
By ELIZABETH WHITE Associated Press Writer

CUERO, Texas (AP) — Phylis Canion lived in Africa for four years. She's been a hunter all her life and has the mounted heads of a zebra and other exotic animals in her house to prove it.

But the roadkill she found last month outside her ranch was a new one even for her, worth putting in a freezer hidden from curious onlookers: Canion believes she may have the head of the mythical, bloodsucking chupacabra.

"It is one ugly creature," Canion said, holding the head of the mammal, which has big ears, large fanged teeth and grayish-blue, mostly hairless skin.

Canion and some of her neighbors discovered the 40-pound bodies of three of the animals over four days in July outside her ranch in Cuero, 80 miles southeast of San Antonio. Canion said she saved the head of the one she found so she can get to get to the bottom of its ancestry through DNA testing and then mount it for posterity.

She suspects, as have many rural denizens over the years, that a chupacabra may have killed as many as 26 of her chickens in the past couple of years.

"I've seen a lot of nasty stuff. I've never seen anything like this," she said.

What tipped Canion to the possibility that this was no ugly coyote, but perhaps the vampire-like beast, is that the chickens weren't eaten or carried off — all the blood was drained from them, she said.

Chupacabra means "goat sucker" in Spanish, and it is said to have originated in Latin America, specifically Puerto Rico and Mexico.

Canion thinks recent heavy rains ran them right out of their dens.

"I think it could have wolf in it," Canion said. "It has to be a cross between two or three different things."

She said the finding has captured the imagination of locals, just like purported sightings of Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster have elsewhere.

But what folks are calling a chupacabra is probably just a strange breed of dog, said veterinarian Travis Schaar of the Main Street Animal Hospital in nearby Victoria.

"I'm not going to tell you that's not a chupacabra. I just think in my opinion a chupacabra is a dog," said Schaar, who has seen Canion's find.

The "chupacabras" could have all been part of a mutated litter of dogs, or they may be a new kind of mutt, he said.

As for the bloodsucking, Schaar said that this particular canine may simply have a preference for blood, letting its prey bleed out and licking it up.

Chupacabra or not, the discovery has spawned a local and international craze. Canion has started selling T-shirts that read: "2007, The Summer of the Chupacabra, Cuero, Texas," accompanied by a caricature of the creature. The $5 shirts have gone all over the world, including Japan, Australia and Brunei. Schaar also said he has one.

"If everyone has a fun time with it, we'll keep doing it," she said. "It's good for Cuero."

... Can you believe this?

Youth Group
So, I went tonight, like I do most Wednesday nights. It was pretty cool, we watched some stuff outta the Jesus Film. Only problem was, I was sitting next to the worst person to watch a movie with; Andrew. He has to be constantly doing something with his mouth, either talking or doing that weird tongue-click. There were so many of us squeezing into a corner, so I had no room to put my feet but right next to Andy. He kept tickling them. It was the weirdest thing. But, he couldn't keep still at my birthday, either. I don't think I wanna go see a movie with him in theatres. It'll probably be even worse...

Volley Ball
Well, as it turns out, I didn't make it (even though I'm sure I'm better than some of those girls), so I think I'm gonna go out for XC. Then, I'm gonna try out for this Youth Ensamble, which is for, "Mature Voices", so I dunno if I'll make it... So, yeah. That's my life up to date. I'm very sad right now. I know I should've made the team! Rawr!

Camp-oh!
I just got back from camp a little bit ago, and I am soooooooooooo tired! I barely got any sleep, like, all the five days, but I had so much fun, it's not even funny. I can only remember random details about the week, so I'll just say those. Lessee... There were two REALLY cute guys there, that everyone was really into. But, no one would talk to them. Naturally, I did, and my friend got mad at me. But, I think she's over it. So, we saw two movies, One Night Wirth The Kind, and Facing The Giants, both movies I'd recommend, but the first one only if you want a different twist on the story of Esther. So, yeah... I dunno what else to say, except at the end, I hugged one of the good looking guys, and he looked really weird when I asked him for a hug. Makes no sense, but he looked weird every time I talked to him...
