   Hi!
Yes, I'm not really on any more, but it's a Sunday (though the weather is currently a rainstorm) and I just read a beautiful scripture. So I wanted to share it. :)

The Lord has been talking to Israel, warning them of the consequences they're bringing upon themselves by wickedness. He mentions that none will be happy in what they consider their "power" or "good thing" - riches, might, even wisdom. Because these are all being used in wickedness. (They can be used...well, might's a tricky one, but really many or most powers and abilities can be used for good, also.)

Then He says: "But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgement, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord."

(Jeremiah 9:24)

Now it may seem like the Lord is boasting, but really He's just trying to let us know truth. And He loves us. (Isn't lovingkindess a great word?) And he's trying to let us know, "I'll help you. I have the power and ability, and I want to. I can help you become a better and stronger person than this world, and I am Good. So please, let me help you. That way, you can be happy forever."

It's sweet.
