I’m being stalked by a putty-tat right now…>_> Little booger.

Anyhoo, how are all you wonderful people doing this fine filled freezing afternoon? I had a hair appointment yesterday but what I wanted to do she couldn’t get done in the amount of time set for me. See, my natural hair color is a really deep, dark, auburn but…I’m going gray!!! I’m in my 20’s and going gray!!!*weeps* It’s hereditary though…my mom and sis both had to start dying their hair in college and so did I.>_< Seriously, if I didn’t dye my hair I’d have like, Inuyasha hair.XD So anyway, I wanted to go a lighter reddish color, nothing crazy but just a little lighter and more vibrant but the problem is, with me having my hair dyed dark auburn you can’t just put a lighter shade of red on top of it and expect to be able to see it…they have to strip the color out of my hair and since I want red (a very difficult color to work with in hair) she needs at least 4 hours to play around.O_o So, I have another appt on Tuesday and I’m her last client so she can have as much time as needed. A little scary? I think so.XD But my hair stylist is truly amazing and I have a lot of faith in her.^^

Whelp, I’m still waiting to hear about the library assistant job that I applied for. The people I had used as references told me that they were contacted though from the library job so that’s good! It means they are looking into me at least! I’m still waiting for a phone call. *stares at phone*
I’m going to play with my brand-new printer today…I had to go and buy a USB cable for it…you know, if you spend $300 for a printer, the LEAST they could do is throw a USB cable in there because common sense tells you that, DUH, people are going to be using their computer to print out things! *bonks head* I had to spend $30 just for the cable! And it was 10% off too because I got the cable from Circuit City and that chain is going out of business. *grumbles* At least a Best Buy is in the process of being built like, right across the street. Lol! Have to wait till September though…*twiddles thumbs*

Oh and I download the Adobe Creative Suite CS4 package. I now have Adobe Photoshop CS4!! WOHOO! And a billion other Adobe products but that’s the main one I wanted.^_^

Uber thanks to all those who went and looked at and commented on my new drawing! Luv you guys!!! If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a linky-poo:

I’m glad people liked the new drawing and it looks like I already have some customers too! lol! On here and on Deviant Art. The next chibi I’m working on is going to be my OC elf that’s actually going to be my logo and mascot for my online/eBay business. In the book on selling on eBay, he highly recommends having one since it not only draws the customers to you but it also helps them remember you. So, I’m going to get that done and then move on to other chibis. I’m still trying to think of a store name though. I was thinking ‘Elves’ Anime, Art, and More.’ What do you think? The book recommends a store name that shows people exactly what kind of products you’re offering but not to be too complicated. Any suggestions would be wonderful and appreciated!

I applied for a new job. I REALLLLLLLLLY hope I get it because not only does it pay double what I make now but it’s also something I love. The job is a Librarian Assistant and it was on Craig’s List. I thought it had to be fate because for 1)I’ve NEVER been on Craig’s List before, 2)It had been posted that very day, and 3)Ever since I read the motivational book, ‘The Secret’ it said that if you’re not happy with your current job or you’re looking for a way to make extra money, then be on the hunt for anything that will help you. Hell-O, this is exactly what I need! A job that not only pays well but it’s with something I love. BOOKS! I keep repeating in my mind that I *will* get this job and hoping that the stars align and I get a call. *crosses fingers*

Last week, I introduced my kitty Jenks, with my mom’s cat, Fuzzbutt. Needless to say, it was quite interesting. Jenks loves other cats but Fuzzbutt…ehhhhh, not so much. Fuzzbutt growled non-stop and it was that really funny growl too…if any of you have seen that video of that cat that’s growling but it sounds like he’s talking? That’s what FuzzButt sounds like and we got it on camera…I’m hoping to borrow the video camera from my parents to upload it on youTube.XD

Anyhoo, I finished my first chibi drawing in the series I’m doing to sell on eBay and at cons. I’m going to be making them into bookmarks and keychain and I spoiled myself rotten last night…I bought myself an Epson 1400 series printer that prints up to size 13 X 19”!!! It was a smidge pricey but as I read in that eBay book, “you have to spend money to make money” and I know when I by prints at cons, I prefer to buy the larger ones rather than the 8.5 X 11”. Plus, this is going to save me money too since having larger prints made at Kinkos or a printing place is a lot more then it would cost for the inks and paper. Plus, my printer has 6 separate color ink cartridges so if I run out of a color, I only have to buy that color rather than buying the larger ones that have 3 colors in one. Wohoo!

Anyhoo, I’m blabbing, if you guys could please take a look at my new drawing and comment, I’d be ever-so much appreciative:

Thanks for everyone’s responses to my question! Especially since some answers reminded me of animes that for some reason, I just didn’t think of…like Vampire Knight! *smacks head* Some definite characters I was going to be drawing regardless were Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, Link from Legend of Zelda, the cast from Ouran High School Host Club, Sora and Riku from Kingdom Hearts, and Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. It was nice to get some reminders like Loveless characters!^_^ I started the chibi Naruto first since I already had drawn him once and pretty much just had to re-draw it and change the style a little. I’ve been reading a book on selling on eBay and how to make the best profit out of it and it’s extremely helpful!

I’m watching TV while typing this (I always multi-taskXD) and a commercial for Wal-Mart just came on and it shows this family carrying in these really nice, handled Wal-Mart bags in from out of their car…psh! Wal-Mart just gives you plastic and really crappy plastic bags at that! If I ever get a hole in a bag it’s a Wal-Mart bag. That’s false…um…shopping bag advertising there!*shakes fist*

Anyhoo, getting off the subject, I was summoned for jury duty!O_o I was just going to do it and get it over with but then my parents got all concerned because my permanent address is still their house but I’m living elsewhere in a different county and there’s a murder trial that’s supposed to be starting up again in that county and they’re all worried that a prosecutor is going to start doing research on the jurors and because I’m living elsewhere that that will throw the case.*rolls eyes* Long story short, I called the court and they said it was fine as long as my permanent addy is still that county and after all that, I get a letter saying the trial was settled out of court so I’m relieved from jury duty for the next 6 years. Wohoo! I’ve never done jury duty and it seemed kinda fun since I enjoy Court TV and stuff but it would have sucked since it took away one of my days off work. Oh well, now I don’t have to worry about it! Hee!

Hello all my wonderful Otakus! How are all of we on this beautiful, sunny day?...well, if you live in my area, it’s in the single digits (brrrrrrr…) and cloudy.>_>
Anyhoo, I have a request from all of you that will greatly assist me! Could you please tell me your 2 all-time favorite anime characters and your 2 all-time favorite video game characters? I’m going to be starting work on a series of chibi drawings to end up making into keychains and bookmarks and stuff to sell on eBay (and to eventually sell at Cons as well) and just wanted to make a list of some faves. And if your character(s) are from a not-so-well known anime or game, could you please tell me the title of it? Even if you don’t “like anime” anymore, then who *used* to be your fave? All input would be greatly appreciated!^___^

Thanks for all your guy’s kind words in my last post! As you can probably tell, I’m in good moods again! YAY! My whole falling into depression thing has been going on for months. I’d say, since September is when it started and it was getting worse. Suicide was NEVER an option for me, so don’t concern yourselves with that since a couple of you seemed worried I was. I could never kill myself…that would be SO selfish to all my friends and family plus, life is worth living…even though you’re upset all the time.XD I’ve always been a believer that people make their own destinies and I needed to stop relying on others to make it better…I was just waiting for positives to fall into my lap without me, myself, being the one to help gain them and wallowing in the fact that it wasn’t. The book ‘The Secret’ is what motivated me…that’s really all I needed…was some motivation! Someone to kick me in the ass and say, “HOP TO IT, GIRL!” If you believe good things will happen to you, then they will. You’ll start noticing the goods and less on the bads. Life isn’t always perfect and you expect it to be, then you’ll just have a life time of disappointments.

I have to go to work tonight and then I’ll have 2 days off in a row!!! YAYZ!!!!!! And a new episode of ‘Ghost Hunters’ is on Wednesday! Double YAYZ! Plus, I have a new anime to watch that came from NetFlix…’Blood Brothers’…it’s about 2 vampire brothers! Triple YAYZ!!!

Another cosplay picture from the behindinfinity group, check them out on DA if you want to see more!

Greeting and salutations to all my lovely otaku’s! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and New Years! What was your #1 fave gift you received? Mine was a GPS…a surprise since when I asked for one, my parents pretty much said no because it was too expensive. I was very happy to get one! Especially the one they got me…they got me like, the cream of the crop in GPS’s…has a built in mp3 player and has a special feature to download and play audio books! Pretty sa-weet! The GPS will come in handy once again when I go down to NYC and visit Angie and Adam (I wish I could give Adam a bowl of my home-made chicken soup! Poor guy is sickly).

My New Years was nice…it was a little sad in that this was the first New Years that all my friends couldn’t be there because most have moved to Philadelphia. So, it was just me and Ty…which was fine since Ty is my best buddy (and will maybe become more in the near future…>_>). All we did was played Seinfeld Scene-It, stopped long enough to watch the ball drop and clink our Vanilla Cokes together, and then go back to playing Scene-It, and then finish the night by playing Mario Kart Wii on wifi and then Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He managed to beat me once! Grrrrrr….how dareth he beatith me while I’m Link and he’s Ike! HMPH!
But yes, no alcohol for the first time this New Years…just a week prior, I got a REALLY bad stomach flu which took me about 4 days to recover fully from (my parents almost think it could have been food poisoning too…not really sure, all I know is that it was AWFUL!). I’ve been trying to avoid alcoholic beverages in general though…it’s no longer fun to get drunk with friends…I dunno, it used to be fun but now I don’t like how it makes me feel. *shrug* I guess I’m just maturing at an alarmingly fast rate. *takes a sip out of her Disney Princess’s mug*

So, onto some semi-serious things, I was in a pretty deep depression for quite some time. I’ve never been like that before…I mean, I was upset ALL the time. I was moody, I didn’t want to do anything but sit around and watch TV. I even stayed away from my beloved Otaku because I knew it was something I enjoyed and I just didn’t want to do it. My artworks have been ignored and neglected. I stopped eating and I’ve officially dropped 10 pounds and a pants size (a big deal for me since I’ve been the same pants size since high school). I’ve just been…bleh. So, on New Years I decided I’m sick of moping around and being self-loathing and needed to do something about it. I wanted to avoid the cost and crap of going to a doctor just for him to put me on some pills that will either make me better or make it worse.

So, I did a little research and ended up getting a self-help book (well, audio book to listen to in the car) called, ‘The Secret.’ Most of you may have heard of it…it’s quite famous. That book changed me! It sounds so corny but it did! It guided me to how to look at things differently. When things look at their worst I needed to ask myself, ‘why is this upsetting me?’ and most importantly, ‘am I the cause of this?’ The hardest thing for most people to do is to admit that something they, themselves, are doing is what’s making them upset. Once I got past my own stubbornness, I realized that yes, I am the cause of my own problems. ‘The Secret’ helps you to fix the problems and move on. It also guides you and motivated you to make your life better. Since I’ve listened to this book, I’ve finally started seriously getting underway of selling my artworks and creating a small anime store as well on eBay. Hopefully, within the next couple months, I’ll be starting the listing of my artworks (I’m going to be making characters in chibi form, making them into keychains, and selling those…an idea that I saw another anime artist doing at NYAF…such a simple idea, yet so brilliant!).

So yes, I’m finally starting to feel happy again and my artworks are slowly coming out of their coma and going to be brought to life again…and I, myself, am being brought back to life too.XD
I’m sure many of you have seen this famous cosplayer found on DA, beyondinfinity…a group of super, awesome people who are down-right amazing in their cosplaying:

Thanks for all the birthday well wishes! Special thanks to Innocent Heart for the adorable fan art!^_^ I had a nice birthday…my parents took me out to dinner and my brother was there too. I got a really pretty fairy necklace, a heated blanket, custom floor mats for my new car, and my bro got me Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii (that game is mad addicting). After that, I hung out with my friend Ty and he had gotten me the game, Seinfeld Scene-It…which I had REALLY wanted as soon as I had seen a commercial for it since I’m a HUGE Seinfeld fanatic. So we played that and then we watched some bad movies to watch-instantly via NetFlix.

Whelp, my main reason for updating was to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas…or a happy Honakuh or nice Kwanzaa or whatever it is you celebrate…either way, I hope it’s Merry!...oh my gawd, I just saw the sun come out…haven’t seen the sun around here in weeks!!! And I promise to get to everyone’s sites who commented on mine the other day…I just didn’t have the time to. Now, I’m off to my parents house to open some presents and see FuzzButt.
Anyhoo, have a good one!

And if you live in frigid cold weather like I do…I wouldn’t recommend what the ladies are wearing in this picture.XD:

We got another big snowstorm Friday and I got a call from work telling me not to come in for my night shift because they were closing down. Wohoo! It was good in the fact that at least this time, I didn’t have to drive all the way there risking my neck to get there only to be told we were shutting down in a few hours.

I got my new car back from the shop yesterday as well and it looks as good as new. Can’t even tell a deer committed suicide into it.

I had slipped and fallen in the parking lot going into work last week and landed hard on my right knee. Bruised it up and I was limping on it for a few days. I go to my chiropractor this week for my neck and shoulder problems and she tells me my left hip is out of alignment and she had to pop that back into place.>_< She said it was because of my fall. Ergh.

And funny, I read my monthly horoscope and it was telling me that I was going to have major issues this month and I was going to have an “emotional crash” on the 5th…well, I had hit the deer on the 4th and had all the issues with the rental place on the 5th and I’d say that is when I had an emotional break-down. Creepy. But then it said that things would get better and I’d be happy again by the 25th…well, duh, it’s Christmas and of course, presents equals happy.

We’re having our secret Santa exchange at work tonight which will be fun. I already know who my secret Santa is and know what she got me…it’s some special edition Twilight book filled with lots of pictures and facts about the book and movie. I’m happy with that gift.^^

My birthday is tomorrow (yes, the winter solstice, the coldest, shortest day of the year, lucky me) and my parents are taking me out to dinner…my brother is also home from his year of having to drill sergeant the army reserves which is good. After that, I’ll probably just hang out with my friend, Ty and play some Super Smash Bros Brawl, Mario Kart, and watch some bad horror movies.^^

Thanks to all those who checked out my new drawing! Brought me some joy in my crappy life. Lol! So yeah, if you haven’t seen my new drawing, please do because I appreciate it:

With my last post I talked about how I hit a deer with my brand new car and this was the first deer I’ve ever hit in my life. Where I live in upstate NY, there are deer EVERYWHERE! So up here, it’s often not a matter of “if” you’ve ever hit a deer, it’s “when” will you or have you hit a deer. I think everyone I know has hit a deer at some point in their lives so my time was up, I guess…just wish it wasn’t only 2 weeks after buying a brand new one.

We got a MONSTER snow storm today. A mix of rain and then sleet and snow. I had to drive into work and a normally 35 minutes drive took me an hour because my drive is virtually all highway and people weren’t going any faster than 40mph because the roads were so bad. The casino actually closed early too which rarely happens so instead of getting out at 3am, I got out about 11pm and got home a little after midnight. The storm is supposed to continue till late Friday so that’s going to be swell.>_< I really hate the weather here…I don’t know why I still live here. I’ve been thinking of moving to North Carolina for awhile because my sister lives down there and she loves the weather. I just can’t handle the winters anymore and am tired of being cold all the time. And then seeing how much my bills go up during the winter months as well because of the cost of heating. Ergh. Perhaps one day I’ll actually have enough motivation to move again.XD

I finished a new drawing so if you guys could take a look at it and comment, I’d be very appreciative:

Whelp, just as things were starting to clear up in my life and start to look positive, the cosmos have to dump a new one on me. That being a deer bolting out in front of me in my brand new car while driving home from work on the highway. It was dark and I had zero type to brake and it did about $4,000 damage on my car that I hadn’t even owned for 2 weeks. And yes, the deer was killed. I didn’t go look at it but my dad and the police officer did and they said its neck was broken so it was killed instantly. Stupid idiot deer. It’s going to be a few weeks before I get my own car back but I really should count my blessings that I wasn’t badly hurt since I know of people getting killed hitting a deer going the speed I was going.

So, I had to rent a car and my insurance provides that coverage up to a certain amount and Enterprise didn’t have a car available so I had to wait for one. So, they give me one and in less than 24 hours, one of the tires is flat. Enterprise is trying to charge me for it but my dad and I are arguing it because it’s a slow leak so it’s been leaking for awhile and must have been leaking prior to them giving it to me. Enterprise sucks, if/when you guys are old enough to drive and need to rent a car, never rent from Enterprise because they give you cars with problems and then stick you with a bill to fix them.

Work has been the same…at least things are slowing down due to the winter season and people don’t like driving out in the cold and snow so it slows the casino down which is nice.

So, that’s what’s been going on in my life the past couple weeks in a nutshell. The drawing above should have been done a couple weeks ago but with all the bull crap with the deer and my car and Enterprise, I didn’t get time to work on it till yesterday. *le sigh*
