I randomly recalled another random odd fact about me: I hate peanuts but love peanut butter. People always give me a look of ‘how can that be?!’ I dunno, peanut butter just has so much extra crap in it that it dilutes the peanut taste, I think.XD

I looked at another house today and I wanted to look at it because the outside was really nice but then I met up with the realtor to see the inside and holy crap, what a dump! I wish I brought a camera to take some pictures because it was like a supermodel: beautiful on the outside but Satan’s butt on the inside. On the top floor, part of the ceiling had leaked and they had just tacked a cloth sheet to catch the water and under the sheet there was writing on the wall that said, “Captain’s Log, It rained hard and the ceiling started to leak…we all got very wet…the crew is not happy.” lol! That cracked me up. I could tell the people who were moving out were sci-fi fans because of that “captain’s log” but also because there was some old Star War displays in the garage but needless to say, that house is crossed off my list of possibilities.

I was bad at went to Wendy’s for some food.^^; I like our local Wendy’s though because it’s alarmingly clean. I had seen a commercial for a mushroom steak with pepper cheese burger on TV and it looked so yummy so I got one. I just got the Junior size burger since the regular one was a ½ pound and I don’t get value meals too often because I can rarely eat both the fries and the burger. But it was really good! *pats belly*
I didn’t get much time to work on my manga today but I have tomorrow off so I’ll work on it then. Sorry I keep talking about it, I tend to blab about things I get excited about.XD

So yeah, today the snow didn’t stop. What the hell?! It was in the 70’s not long ago and now we’re in the middle of a blizzard?! Harumph, says I! It looked pretty though but I was glad that I had the day off from work. I took some pictures of our backyard and keep in mind that not more then 24 hours ago, there wasn’t a single flake of snow on the ground and things were starting to get green:

This is the wet snow too so branches tend to get weighed down which you can see in this next picture. Look at the middle-ish to the right-ish top of this picture and you can see how the one pine tree is buckling at the top. We’re hoping it doesn’t break because it’s a really pretty tree:


I enjoyed my day off today. I slept in until about 1 pm and then made myself a nice little omelet. Yummers. I got a package in the mail today too from an order I had made through the Delia company. I got some nice new pants…I love Delia pants because they make pants for “super-long” people so I can get pants that actually fit my scrawny little butt and are long enough for my stretched body! 36” inseams all the way! I also got a panda purse and it’s so cute! It’s got panda and bamboo leaves patterned on it and it’s the most I’ve ever spend on a bag but the cuteness of it is worth it.
I also finished page 3 of my manga and am working on page 4. I’m hoping to get the manga part done on my days off and then I’m going to work on the cover and make that all in color and pretty and then when that’s completed I’ll upload the whole thing. I can’t wait since I’m having so much fun with this and am dying to hear what others think.

Oh, and my pal, FelixDeKat tagged me with this little survey in which I fact 6 odd things about myself and I actually enjoyed reading this on other’s sites and figured, why not?! So here’s 6 random off things about me:
1)I have a really long tongue. When I stick it out it goes past my chin.
2)I don’t like fruit but I like artificially fruit flavored things.
3)I’m left handed but throw and bat like a righty.
4)When I hear cats meow I’ll mimic them just to see their reactions.
5)If I’m watching a war movie or something that shows killings, I feel more bad when the horses or animals get killed then when the people do.

Funny thing happened the other day at work…well, a mix of being both funny and gross at the same time but anyway, there’s this girl who works in the concessions area at the casino I work in and she had been out partying the night before so when she came into work the next day, she wasn’t feeling well. Well…she ended up throwing up into the hot dog bin. BLEH! Luckily, there were no guests around just another employee but it looks like she’ll get fired for that and it’s not just because she got sick in the hot dog bin, but because she had been partying the night before (very irresponsible) but she also has a habit of not showing up to work and coming in late and stuff so yeah, nice girl but kinda a bozo. And yes, they had to clean and sterilize the hell out of that hot dog bin.

Last night at the casino, I noticed there was a new security guard working there so I was talking to him and getting to know him and he looks at my name badge and goes, “Oh, *YOU’RE* Lindsey!” I’m like, “Eh?” And he tells me that he also works for Brinks (Brinks is a company that comes to businesses and takes their money to go to the banks) and apparently, I’ve been nicknamed “The hot banker” by the Brinks guys who come into the vaults to take the money. Lol! I was like, well, isn’t that nice but I just found it funny.

Well, I’m updating at 4 in the morning since I just got back from work and we're having one honey of a snow storm right now which was not fun to drive through that early in the morning since snow plows haven't really gotten to all the roads yet. It's the really heavy wet snow too so it really weighs down tree branches and it actually looks really cool when it's still dark out and the snow is fresh and the pine tree limbs are so weighed down they look spider-like in how they reach towards the road and it reflects off the car's head lights with an eerie white glow. Thank goodness though my parents made me take their Subura with 4 wheel drive to work today because I think I may have ended up in a ditch if I took my car. Anywho, now I’m off to bed but I have tomorrow…well, actually today, Monday off! YAY!

So did everyone have a happy Friday the 13th? I didn’t even realize what day it was until I was filling out paperwork at…well, work. My Friday the 13th turned out pretty well because a coworker of mine gave me a spiffy green glitter gel pen for no reason. Wohoo! Nothing like a green glitter gel pen to make a regular day a dandy day.^_~

I went to an art store website called DickBlick.com…I dunno, weird name for an art site but I had ordered my copic markers from that site in the past so I still get a catalog sent to me from them once in awhile and I saw they had this computer software program for sale that was made for manga creation! Well, mostly with the one I ordered, is set up so that the templates for the pages can be made as well as effects and special texts as well as caption bubbles so I think that will majorly help me with my mangas I’m making. Although this first one I’m making will all be quick and done by hand, mangas I’m going to make later on, I want to look more professional so this program sounds perfect since I’m still going to hand-draw everything but at least I can make proper graphics and textures and such for the true “manga-look” in my later pieces. Wahoo!

In my last post when I showed a picture of the Japanese singer Gackt as my picture of the day, my pal, Pyrinsomniac asked me if I ever compared Gackt to my fave character, Yuki Sohma from Fruits Basket since they’re both so perfect and beautiful that they look almost feminine? Well, to answer that: of course! When I first saw Gackt I instantly made that association.XD Sometimes, when I see pictures and poses of Gackt, I almost wonder if the creator of Fruits Basket modeled Yuki after Gackt because there’s some shots where they are posed very similarly. There’s one in particular that shows Gackt in a field of feathers and there’s an illustration of Yuki, looking similar but in a field of roses. Coincidence? I think not!....well, maybe but yeah, I think Gackt is the real-life version of Yuki Sohma and look at his picture! It’s Yuki posed with Shigure! Heh, not really…unless Shigure was put into a dryer and shrank.XD

I’m watching the show Shear Genius on Bravo right now. Some of the hair styles these people are coming up with are really cool. Some though are just plain…weird. I know they’re trying to be “artsy” but sometimes just because something looks funky doesn’t mean it’s art.
I have to get up early for work tomorrow! Waaaah! It’s a butt to get up early since I had to close those nights before so getting my body into that schedule is a pain.

I finished another page of my manga! Man, I’m just cruising…it helps that these are quick sketches rather then hard-core finished pieces and yes, I do plan on uploading my manga onto Otaku for all those who asked but I’m going to wait until I finish it. It shouldn’t take too long though since I’ve already finished 2 pages and I plan on making this story 6. And special thanks to CrescentSunHanyou for helping me out and being my guinea pig. She’s been the person I’ve turned towards when it comes to deciding character names and stories that will come into play later and she’s the one who’s already seen my first page to let me know if it’s okay. She loved it so that make me happy. Thanks Max!! *tackle glomps her*
I feel more confident making a manga with original characters over famous ones. I find that people tend to be super Super SUPER nitpicky when an artist draws pre-existing characters, like Inuyasha or Naruto. I’m sure everyone knows what I’m talking about since it goes for stories as well and sometimes, when an artist or writer tries to go outside the box a little, some hard-core fans tend to freak out. Gah, makes my head throb.

I’m incredibly hungry for some reason. I think I’m going to make some ramen. But what flavor should I make?! Maybe Creamy Chicken…or Pork! Oh, the choices in life!!

I talked to my parent’s tax lady today (my parents has her do my taxes along with there’s) and I’m going to be getting about $900 back from my tax returns! Hoo-de-rocking-yay! Makes me very happy since it’s almost painful to get my pay checks and see how much of my earnings is taken out for taxes but now I’m getting some of it back so I’m ready to party! Actually, that money is going to go towards my savings for a house.^_^

I got my hair cut and highlighted today and am very happy with it. My stylist managed to do it just how I wanted it which was to keep my hair long but to cut a few strands in the front shorter so it frames my face and then do choppy layers throughout the rest of my hair and then my highlights are this really pretty copperish, reddish, blondish color so my hair is awfully groovy.
I then had a doctor’s appointment but it was just a post-op visit from my surgeon when I had that jaw surgery back in September. He just wanted to make sure everything was healing okay.
I then went shopping! I bought some new undies because…well, I haven’t bought new undies in a long time and I wanted some pretty new ones. That’s exciting. And then I went to Waldenbooks and bought a whole heap of books. As in…real books, not mangas.^_~ I tend to read about a book a week. I love to read and am a fast reader and I actually do read most of my books more then once so yeah, go books!

I worked on my manga too and have a page completely done. I’m having so much fun with these since I’ve been dying to draw this little story in my Estel and Leetha series since it pretty much pin-points their personalities without going on too long. This story called, The Rescue will be 6 pages long but I’ll probably do a nicely completed “manga cover” for it too.

Well, my stretch of closing at work has ended for this week. I was SO tired getting up early on Easter to go to my grandma’s. Getting home at 3:30am and then not getting to bed till 4am and then getting up at 8:30am makes for one not-so-happy Elves. And then I had to leave my grandma’s early to get to work at 5:30pm and then work again till 3am. I was looking forward to sleeping in Monday but my dad decided that he wanted to work on the basement and so he was drilling and banging and sawing which woke me up. Oiy, someone shoot me now. I have to get up early tomorrow morning too because I have a hair appointment followed by a doctor’s appointment. I don’t mind getting up for a hair appointment though because I look forward to getting some cool new highlights in my hair plus, I haven’t had my hair cut in almost a year so my hair has gotten a bit too long. It’s past my boobers and going to the “lower back” region. I’m going to keep it long though since I’m really tall and long hair works well with long people.XD

Oh, at work on Easter Sunday, the Easter bunny was there so people could get their pictures taken with it and such and after the photo shoot, the bunny started walking out on the gaming floor (the gaming floor is where all the slot machines and cashiers are) and he was walking around waving at people….that is until out state troopers came out and told him he had to leave. Why you ask? Well, because no one is allowed on the gaming floor wearing a mask which is a security reason in case a robber were to hold up the cashiers and then surveillance would be able to identify them. So yeah, even though the Easter bunny was hired by our casino to interact with the people, they still made him leave the gaming floor because he had a mask on. Lol! The funny thing was though, when the troopers came and told the bunny he had to leave that floor, the bunny just hung his head in shame and sulked out. Haha! Well, I found the whole situation hilarious anyway.XD

Fact of the Day:
Ham and eggs: A day's work for a chicken, a lifetime commitment for a pig.

For all those who were wondering what the state troopers were doing in the vault that early in the morning, they were actually there talking about putting an emergency call button in their in case of…well, an emergency so yeah, they weren’t in there for the sole purpose of scaring the living schnikiees out of me.XD

I’m updating at 2:30 in the afternoon…I think this is a record for me because I’ve never updated in the afternoon. I had to close last night at work and then I have to close tonight and then I have to close tomorrow so this was one of the better times to update. It’s going to suck closing tonight because I’ll have to get up early tomorrow to go to my Grandma’s for Easter lunch. Our casino closes at 2am so I don’t get out till 3am and don’t tend to get into bed till 4am. I honestly don’t mind having to work on Easter because I’m not a religious person. I mean, I believe in a higher being and all but I don’t know if I believe in the stories told in the bible. They seem a little…I dunno, far-fetched to me and please! I’m not trying to offend anyone religious and I am allowed to state what I believe in since I go to people sites all the time who are religious and listen to them when they talk about what THEY believe in so yeah, please don’t hate me for my beliefs.^_^

I started my fan manga the other day! I started with doing a bunch of thumbnail sketches. I was mostly just figuring out the angles as well as how to bring this part of the story together without it going onto too many pages. I only got 2 frames done so far but they’re actually moving along pretty quickly. I’m not going to be inking or coloring these mangas because at this point, I want to focus on showing my character’s personalities and work on storytelling. You’re only going to meet Estel and Leetha in this manga and I plan on showing how these 2 interact with one another and then go backwards showing how they met and then jump around to when other characters start coming in. Phew! It’ll me a lot of work but I’m excited to get them going.^_^

I brought my left-over food from the restaurant I went to yesterday to work today. Oh man, you should have seen all the people looking at it and checking it out…if my chicken was a girl, I think she’d be offended.XP

Oh yeah, something funny happened to me when I first walked into the vault today…since I work in the bank in a casino, I’m behind quite a few locked doors and such so I’m not used to seeing other people around when I first open up the bank in the morning, however today, I unlock the doors and open the door to the hallway and like, 4 of the state troopers who work at our casino were all standing there and one of the cops looks at me and goes, “There she is! SWARM!” My face just went: O_O Well, they were just kidding around and it cracked me up but still, there was a moment of panic at the mental picture of a group of 4 guys dog-piling on top of me…then again the thought of 4 guys on top of me…lol! Sorry, that was dirty but as soon as I typed that I started snickering.XD XD

Have you guys heard of the manga and/or anime called, ‘Princess Princess’? Well, in case you haven’t, it’s pretty darn good! It’s not an anime for guys though since it’s full of bishies…just like Kyou Kara Maou.^_~ The basic story is a guy is a transfer freshman at an all-boys school and the guy is very good-looking and cute and it turns out that at this school, if you’re a freshman, and are really good-looking and cute, you are forced to dress up as a girl! It’s very funny and there’s quite the Ayame(from Fruits Basket) look-alike in this anime but yeah, it’s worth reading and/or watching. Heehee! I like how many of you had geese horror stories when I mentioned one in my last post. I think geese are pure evil in finely-feathered form. I think it’s just their attitudes they always have…them and deer! Well, the deer in our neighborhood anyway, they tend to snort and stomp their hooves at people rather then to run away…or just stand there and stare at you. But I like deer better then geese…they don’t make any loud obnoxious sounds…except when they’re babies. Then they make cute squeaky sounds.XD

Anyway, today I took a shower and was feeling fine but then I went downstairs to heat up some coffee and a cinnamon bun and I started feeling incredibly faint and dizzy and a bajillion black spots started forming in front of my eyes and so I stumbled into the living room and sat down thinking I’d get better but then I got really nauseous and felt like I would puke…which pissed me off more then anything because I have the Jerry Seinfeld record where I haven’t thrown up in about 7 years. So, I ran into the bathroom but nothing happened which was good but my tummy and head hurt so much that I just laid in the fetal position on the bathroom floor till it all passed. So yeah, I then crawled back into bed and watched some TV till I felt better and I was wondering what the heck was all that about and then I realized it. I HATE BEING FEMALE!!! Man, God is one sexist person to make us women go through crap like that every stinkin’ month! FEH! And I hope I didn’t offend anyone with the God comment but c’mon! It’s not fair. *sniffles*

My aunt stayed over for the past couple nights and tonight she took my parents and I out to a restaurant which was yummy. I ate very little of my food though since I’m still not feeling too well but hey, now I have lunch to take to work with me tomorrow! Shazaam! And my aunt has managed to get drunk both nights she’s stayed here but she said she only drinks on “special occasions.” I guess watching American Idol warrants as a “special occasion” to drink? Well, she’s very giggly when she’s had too much wine and now I hear her snoring in the next room so, meh.
