For Pete's sake, I wish UK's basketball team would play BASKETBALL!!!!!
Anyone who knows anything at all about Kentucky knows it's basketball territory through and through. I've been a Wildcat fan since...birth, but boy, do they have problems grasping the concept of DEFENSE! And REBOUNDING! And apparently, FREE THROWS! Anyway, the reason for this post is this: (Well, actually there's really no other point than for me to vent after that disappointing excuse of a ballgame...) Anyway (again), it's rivalry week in the NCAA. Kentucky played Florida at Rupp Arena. (A home game for UK, for those who don't know.) Granted, Florida has an excellent team and excellent coach...they're the total package when it comes down to it, and I never expected UK to beat them from the very beginning. But the way UK played tonight was so incredibly PATHETIC! Had they shot (and made) a few 3-pointers, they might've won! But NOOOOOO! Instead, they feel the need to take these dumb shots they have a snowball's chance to make. Then, the last 30 seconds of the game, they start playing decently. I was yelling at the TV like some kind of fool, saying, "IF YOU WOULD'VE PLAYED LIKE THAT EARLIER, YOU MIGHT'VE WON!!!!" Okay...
~-deep breath-~ I'm gonna shut up now, because I'm sure no one knows what the heck I'm talking about, and if they do, they probably don't care. Nor do I blame them...
And thanks to whoever takes the time outta their busy schedules to read this long wall of text that has no purpose, like I previously stated...
