Just how messed up can Kansas weather get?!?
Well, it's definitely been an interesting week I'd say, what with the weather, and work going all crazy on me, it seems there's little time to get down to what really matters...

First the weather. Oh. My. Goodness. As I mentioned in my last post, it hailed the other night. Yes, that's right, it hailed. Not only that, but IT DID IT AGAIN! Which I mean, when I think of hail, I think of tornado season, which isn't until spring-ish time. It's the middle of winter. Why is it hailing? Oh and then today, I woke up around 8ish or so and it was snowing. Now nothing wrong with that right? Wrong, the sun was out and shinning it's fullest. And yet, it was snowing. I still hail to see how that is possible. You wouldn't have even known it was snowing if you hadn't looked out the window.

Work has been way to busy for me. I can't get any studying done at all. We barely have time to eat lunch. Some nights I feel that I'm pulled in way to many directions and I just can't keep up. *sigh* oh well. In retrospect, I got a raise. Go Me!! So now i make over $17 an hour. yay for money.

Well other then working and sleeping, I haven't really been up to much else. Been trying to study, but that's no easy task. I've been thinking about buying some new shows i've never watched before just like an impulse buy. Has any watched Galaxy Railways, Tactics or Sakura TV or Angelic Layer? Are they good enough to buy? haha

Well I hope everyone has a good week. Get some good rest!! Sleeping makes everything better.

Just a fun random post to help me fall asleep.....

The weather last night was MESSED UP. I'm not making this up. At about 3am or so, the guy that goes to the medical record building at night to get films for the morning came in and told us that it was lightening outside. And then we heard really loud thunder. So, being the inquisitive person I am, I walked to the back door, and looked outside. Not only was in pretty windy, it was indeed lightening and raining. We watched it for like 5 mins then went back inside because it was a little cold. We decided to go traverse through the tunnel to find where they moved respiratory too, and we came back maybe 15-20 mins later. Then a lady from the MRI records comes and says "Hey, did you know, it's hailing outside." We looked at each other and once again headed for the back door. And yes....IT WAS HAILING!!! They where about pea-to quarter sized, but still....it's the middle of winter!! AND IT'S HAILING!!! "I blame it on the asteroid" i said to my co-worker and she laughed. Anyways, I had the fun idea to take a blanket, throw it over my head, and run out to catch some hail. And Yes, I did! I used an emesis basin and caught quite a lot. It was coming down pretty hard. Hehe I didn't get hurt, but my socks were a little wet when I came back inside. I got a warm blanket from CT, and we put our newly collected hail in the freezer to show our 1st shift friends when they came in.

Now, you thought that was funny, this really takes the cake.

We were watching the 5am news, and they where talking about how H. Clinton had that live broadcast with the 22 states, well Kansas was one of them. Anyways, that's not the point of the story, after they aired that, they showed where she stood in the polls, and then they showed the republican candidates and were they stood. Now, there's nothing wrong with that right? What was wrong was, the republican candidates pictures were not quite right. Someone had drawn on these pictures that were aired on the local news. John McCain had a Hitler mustache drawn in. Mitt Romney had his teeth blackened out. And the other guy...i forget his name, he's in last place...he had devil's horns and fire behind his head!!! I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP! I laughed SOO hard! haha, we wrote into the station to tell them about it but who knows if they noticed or not. Personally, I hope they put it on their website so I can show all of you.

So yeah, that was my morning. It's 11am and I still haven't gone to bed. I'm going to be tired later if I don't go to bed soon....I think I drank too much pop at work...

For lent, I am going to give up drinking pop. And maybe give up buying figures. We'll see...I have 13 hours left to figure that out...

I hope you enjoyed the randomness of a day in my life. Tonight, TRIVIA WITH MOLLY!! YAY!!! Have a good day!

Oh. My. Gosh. Can the Tales of Symphonia OVA get any better? I cried. Seriously. The music got me. It was just SOO touching!! God I love Llyod. I can't wait till the next one comes out and we get to really meet Zelos!!! Though Lloyd is sooo much better...

Okay, now that we're over my fangirl stage, how is everyone? I'm doing great. This week has really gone by fast. My four days of work seeming came and went just as fast. I think it's cuz we were busy. It was all icy and snowy here, and you know what that means!!! car accidents! which means....work for Nami-chan! Which I don't mind. Haha if I did mind, I am seriously in the wrong profession.

I've been thinking about my profession lately actually. I don't know if I want to do diagnostic for the rest of my life. I was thinking about looking into Oncology, which is a fascinating subject in and of itself. I don't know. I'm going to have to really look into it. On the plus side, you get to work with state of the art equipment. On the down side, most of the patients are kinda downtrodden...which makes me sad...It would be a sad area to work I think. But also exciting because there are always advances in the field....I don't know. It's something to look into though.

Molly and I played the trivia again tonight. Haha she ALWAYS kicks my ass. But it's still lots of fun. We got to play some new games that just started tonight actually, and we were having fun. Our waitress kicked ass as well. I think this could turn into an awesome ritual. Come join us! It's lots of fun!!

Let's see...what else is new....I have less then $3000 left on my car loan! Yay!!! Which means I can either buy a new car....or more importantly move out! I've been spending a lot of money lately though. hehe. I bought those Japanese language books, they should come in another week. I also bought some more figures *blushes*. I got a good deal on them though!! I'll be sure to take some pictures of them when I get them. I promised myself I won't buy anymore unless I can find the one capsule figure I need to complete my ToA collection. I'm going to wait till the con to spend my money! Plus, once I get this book I think i'll be busy studying and it'll keep me off the computer. (besides talking to you awesome people!)

Well, I can't really think of anything else. I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week! *huggles* Bye!

Yay!!! 3 years of waiting have finally let me obtain at least half of the Gundam SEED series!! Yay Kira!! Yay Athrun!! Yay Yzak!!! This makes me want to listen to my GSEED soundtracks when I go to bed tonight. lol.

Well, as from my seriously short post last time you could probably tell that I was busy. Oh. My. Gosh. Work has been so hectic lately! It's almost non-stop. I feel like I've walked a marathon by the time I come home in the morning. Needless to say, I come home and zonk out for as long as I can.

I went to Hutchison today, but didn't stay too long cuz i was feeling sick to my stomach so I came home and played Mario. I got past 60 stars now so I could travel to princess Peach if i wanted to but I think I'm going to have a little bit more fun before i go rescue her. She's used to be taken hostage...she can wait. Target STILL didn't have Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, which made me sad cuz i wanted to buy that today as well, and play it but alas. I need to check my raincheck to see when it'll expire, I think I have a month. I hope they get it soon before Super Smash Brothers comes out. Otherwise I'm going to be playing Red-chan all the time on that! hahaha. That is...if I can get her away from WoW *eyes her suspiciously*

I found this really adorable Totodile plush so I've decided that one day of the con I'm going to be a pokemon trainer so I can carry it around. I thought about taking it on the airplane with me, which personally I wouldn't mind. Flying scares me ever the slightest bit, esp if I'm buy myself, but I think people might look at me like I'm crazy. I then figured that I could pretend that I have a multiple personality disorder, but that too might get me thrown off the plane. Oh well, I have 5 months to think about it lol.

In my efforts to learn a new language, I'm trying to find a textbook that will teach me such things. I tried going on the local college's website and i found their class (no they don't offer it online or during the evenings), to see if they would list their textbook, but it didn't. I"m going to ask my friend if she can access that part since she is actually a student there. I hope so. We both wanted to take the class together, but I can't if it's in the mornings, and her schedule was full already.

Also, i have been really good about my diet thing! I'm so proud of myself! Instead of eating chips, or french fries, or really any type of potato product, I've substituted for a salad during lunch time. It really isn't too bad. Mom made chicken the other day, so i just cut up the chicken and threw it on top of the salad, and wa-lah! Thousand Island Chicken Salad!! (Thousand Island is the only type of dressing I like. I hate ranch, and I dislike Italian.) Which leads to a very interesting question, what kind of dressing do you like to put on your salad?

I hope you all have a very Gundam filled week! hehe. Have a great day!!

Happy New Year Everyone!!
Well, congratulations everyone, we made it to 2008. When I tried to think back about what I've accomplished over the last year, there were only two things I could really think of. One, I graduated from college, and two, I have a full time job. Now I admit, both of these are rather significant things in a person's life, so I'm pretty happy with the last year. That said, here is a list of my New Year's Resolutions:

1. Exercise more. (I know everyone puts this on their list, but I want to look good for my trip! hehe.)
2. Give everyone a second chance. (I have a tendency to be judgmental sometimes, and well, if you piss me off that's pretty much it for you. I want to be more forgiving this year.)
3. Learn a new language. (I'm trying to learn Japanese, but I really have only gotten my foot in the door haha. Kanji translations, here I come!)
4. Save more money. (yeah...that's kinda self explanatory.)
5. Make a scrapbook. (This mostly pertains to my summer trip.)
6. Have as much fun as humanly possible on said summer trip. (I seriously can not wait to meet you all, and esp. you Red.)
7. Find a boyfriend, and hopefully someday get married. (what can I say, it is sometimes lonely being alone. And when I go upstairs at work to see all the little babies up there....it makes me want to have one of my own, not until I'm married that is!)

I'm sure there are some I had in my head earlier but have now completely forgotten, (it's the wine) but I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Years!

For Christmas, I got a portable DVD player (10 inch screen), and audio rocking chair to play games with, and movies and games. I got Super Mario Galaxy, and the DDR game for the Wii. They are both lots of fun!

I hope you like the new theme, it didn't come out quite how i wanted, but meh. Have a good rest of the week everyone!!!

Feelings of Gratitude.
First off, I want to say "Thank you sooo much!" to all of you who wished me a happy birthday. It meant a lot to me, so *bows head* Arigato.

If you've been trying to find me, I've been really busy lately. Let's see, what sort of fun things I've been up to....I guess we'll start with saturday. Saturday I was supposed to have dinner with my family, but of course, it snowed on Friday pretty bad, so my Dad cancelled that until Sunday. So what did I do? Go out with friends of course! We went out to see Enchanted. Don't laugh at me!! I really enjoyed the movie, it made me laugh. And my friend and I were making up little jokes as we went along as well, so that made it even better. Afterwards, we went out to eat at NuWay, which is like our little tradition, and then we came home and made brownies and cookies! We also watched the movie version of R.O.D. which was very interesting if I might say so. Let's see....my friends left around 11 or so cuz frankly I was tired, I only got 4 hours of sleep due to working the previous morning, so I zonked out shortly after midnight. Thing is, my parents come in at 12:30 to wish me a happy birthday AND SCARE THE BEJESUS OUT OF ME!!! I was sound asleep and they usually come and do something to me around 12:30 cuz that's when I was born, but i was sound asleep and people talking wakes me up so when there's someone shaking me and practically yelling AND a face standing over my head...yeah....I jumped pretty high haha.

Sunday, my actual birthday, I went out to lunch if my family at an Italian restaurant. I enjoyed it. We came home and my brother and sister-in-law gave me a Wii game. Yay! It's called "Sonic and the Magic Ring" and it has an adventure mode and a party mode that's sort of like mario party, so we played it and it was pretty fun. I also got a new coat, which I needed cuz my old one was really puffy and frankly it made me look fat. I've lost some weight so it's too big for me now. My new one is like a silvery color and is close fitting and has like a fur for the hood. It's really soft and comfy. That's pretty much all I got except for a few birthday cards. I worked Sunday night but it wasn't too bad.

My dvd box set came in the mail Monday!!! I was super excited. So I called my friend to come watch it with me, and we made a sleepover out of it. We went to bed pretty early though cuz we were both tired.

Today, I went ice skating. I've never been before. I'm so proud of myself, I only fell once, and it wasn't that bad. I learn pretty fast hehe. It was a lot of fun and I definitely got my exercise for the day. It's a good thing I have strong lower legs from playing soccer haha. I guess playing that sport was good for something. I also got a new book from the bookstore today. It's called "I'd tell you I love you, but then I'd have to kill you" by: Ally Carter. hehe I know absolutely nothing about it, but the premise sounded fun. haha. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes.

Anyways, I think that's enough for me. I hope you all are having a wonderful week! Thank you once again for all the b-day wishes! Love ya guys!!!

I'll take you back to the start.....
Why hello everyone! Long time no see eh? It certainly has been awhile, hasn't it? I hope all of you are doing well! Especially those of you I don't get to talk to much! I have been entirely way to busy lately....let's see if I can sum up the past month or so...

Well, first and foremost there's work, which is going well thank you. Last night was sort of bad though. I haven't been sleeping as much as I would have liked, and therefore was pretty tired when I went into work. And what happens when you're tired? You're busy, that's what!! It was sort of hectic last night. I believe I did 5 patient's within a 15 time span, which i have to say is quiet good lol. The ER was slammed most of the night, and there were things going on all over the hospital! We got called up the floor, and then had to come back down and do an ER, and then back up and down and we where just everywhere. Then, in the morning we had 15 early morning people to do, which is realitively more then the 7 we used to have. And the sad thing is it's the same people everyday. I wish they would get better, no one really wants a tube down their throat....but yes, on a happy note, yesterday the lady who's job I took came back in to say hi. So i did a lot of exams, mainly the 5 patients in 15 mins, while my co-worker caught up with the lady. I didn't mind, frankly, i need to get up and do something to keep me awake. I think pure adrenaline got me through the night. haha. Needless to say, i came home and zonked out.

Yesterday, my family also had our BUNCO party! It was lots of fun, but meant i had to wake up early lol. I was the biggest winner!! I had a great time!! Not only did I win 10 out of the 12 games (making me the biggest winner), I also had the last bunco, AND had the most mini buncos!! So I had the potential to win three prizes, but I only got one for fairness' sake. I took the money lol. YAY for $4!!

Last weekend, I went up to Atchison to visit my friends who go to school up there, and to see my friends play. It was quite an experience. My phone would not work up there so i had to scour the campus to find someone I knew who did have one that I could call my friend and let her know i was there. Stupid me, I forgot to ask her what her dorm number was. It was fun haha. Luckily I'd been up there enough times to know some people, and I found one of her friends and had her call my friend for me. We had lots of fun together though! They should be coming home tomorrow, I can't wait!!

Umm...I think I have half of my Christmas shopping done. I need to go out and get some more, but the state is currently under an ice storm watch and I know the roads are just going to get worse. Luckily tonight is my last night in my 4 day cycle of work so I'll have two days were i can stay inside and not have to go out in it.

In other news....6 more days till my birthday! YAY!! I can't wait.

I wish you all the best wishes for the holidays and have a wonderful and merry Christmas!!!

Okay, new theme. I'm still working on it so give me a bit of a break. I love how no one commented last post. This is why I usually don't.

Anyways, I have to go to Kansas City today because we had a death in the family. I hope everyone is doing well! I'll talk to you all when I get back!

take care!
