Ressurection.
Comments on commentary-

Lea- *shoves you out*

Bombs over Baghdad.

Theme song of this post: If You Talk Too Much by People in Planes.

Working at Wendy's is a maelstrom of weirdocity.

That opening sentence is a mouthful, yes, but it is accurate as hell in describing my first few weeks of working in the great field of Fast Food Bitchery that I have entered of free will. The people there run the gambit of personality types and it's a wonder that they all get along- they are all so different. Thugs with pop princesses and quiet white people [not me]. It's a microcosm of.. somewhere, I'm sure. I'll avoid speaking ill of any of them since, as this is the age of information, nothing I say here is really confidential. Maybe I could get away with complimenting them one by one.

Haha. Yeah, right.

I got my first paycheck today and I plan to celebrate by going to the mall tomorrow and purchasing myself something.. uh.. purchasable. Just, something. You know to celebrate surviving the flurry of nugget making, sandwich fucking uppery and general folly that has destroyed the relatively calm life I had prior. With any luck my forthcoming purchase will be Tales of Legendia which is due to be released on the 7th.. which means it will be out on the 9th knowing luck, fate and the acts of god that release dates seem to slam into often.

I got a new computer. I'd spit out the specs at you but I'm not that bored. It can run BattleField 2 at full power without missing a beat though so, you know- all the more beautiful graphics to me. The case is sleek too- for once I have a computer case that is a Bentley instead of a Mazda. Sexy.

Serious topics of discussion-

Muhammed cartoons controversy- Free speech should not be sacrificed for religion. As witless as the cartoons are the actions taken should not lead us onto a road to theocracy. Religion has no place in government. Religion is not a good mix with government. Religions cannot replace government. People require the government and some of them require spirituality- but not a mix of the two. Much can be said of the cartoons but much more can be said of the reaction to them- neither side is impressive, coherent or proving anything to, at the very least, myself.

Burning down the embassies of others is probably not the best way to make a point against a cartoon that portrays Muhammed as wearing a bomb for a turban either. The idiocy rampant in that Danish newspaper seems to have infected the entire Arabian peninsula. I would recommend we take swift and strong action to contain the ignorance before it strikes us all into a pitiable state of mudslinging that has no place in a even slightly intelligent society.

Iran- Few steps away from war being inevitable, aren't we?

Ground war wouldn't be difficult. The United States doesn't need overwhelming numbers to outclass most enemies (especially in the Middle East). However an occupation is an occupation- it always requires significant manpower to keep the peace and rebuild the state that you just destroyed. I believe that the numbers in Iraq are not enough and that if we attempted to occupy Iran that we would be seriously overstretched (if we are not already).

However, I doubt they'd occupy Iran. Merely shake them up a bit with an overwhelming amount of military superiority (like the First Gulf War).

Twenty bucks Israel starts the war. They're a little antsy about this kind of thing.

President Bush's SOTU address- The dog in the audience seemed to enjoy it.

OtakuBoards topics of discussion-

You don't -want- to be a moderator. You just think you want to be one. It doesn't confirm you as being a recognized member of the community- you already are one. They just ask you to pick up the trash while you are fucking around in whatever forums you frequent. All these disillusioned dreams of moderator-hood are based on a false idea of what one is, lol.

And- OtakuBoards FanFics, while interesting, seem to be falling into self-made cliches. I guess that might be the purpose of them but, you know, whatever.

I'm sorry but I'm never gonna do it again.

That's it. Later on.

P.S. Americans eat alot of goddamn chicken nuggets.
