   pressure's off
i had the duet thing this morning, so, naturally, i could hardly sleep last night. Andrew and i did pretty good, we got a 2 (for those of you who don't know what that means, it's the second highest rating you can get. it's like getting a B on your report card). the pressure was kind of lessened when Andrew told me about the solo he had earlier in the morning. he had bombed it. he showed it to me when he took his mom's carmera when she and my mom went to look for my dad. it sucked, but it gave me a much needed laugh. he was kind of upset because he had gotten a 2, and it was his first time getting lower than a 1, but after that he told me that it was just for fun, that it didn't matter anymore. i was still really nervous, but it did help. we only got a 2 because i had fallen out of a couple of the really high notes and couldn't get back in the music. THANKS FOR THE MOTIVATION FORLORNHOPE!!

   not so happy anymore
ok, i'm not quite the happiest person in the world anymore. turns out i'm stuck in choir. not be choice i might add. the school counselor lied to me, and wouldn't let me out. so, just for something fun to do, to show the choir instructor i can do what i want, i'm doing a solo for our last concert. every year we have a theme, and thus year's theme is "Broadway". so the song i'm doing is "Getting to Know You" from "The King & I." it'll be fun, but i'm still quitting next year. but next year i'll probably end up doing what made me finally decide to quit in the first place, but only because i'll still be in band. yeah, it sucks. you can't just say no to her either, she kinda scares you into doing it.

   friends
sorry guys, but i really need to vent to someone. i am getting really pissed off at two of my friends at school. one because she thinks the only people who like anime are, like, i don't know, INSANE or something. she won't even listen to me when i try to explain to her that people are always going to like things she doesn't like. she makes it her own personal duty to put me down about it. the other friend because she hates all people who aren't like her: gays, lesbians, people in general who don't agree with her. even people who are just being themselves, and just happen to make themselves very different in the process. i have friends who are gay, and she gets pissed at me for defending them all the time. i almost never agree with her, so she tends to be pissed at me a lot. that's what pisses me off; people who are so closed-minded that they won't let anything different in, NOT anime.

   worries
hey guys. i'm so worried right now. on saturday i have band solo & ensemble festival, and i'm doing a trumpet duet with a friend of mine. we should do pretty good, but i'm gonna be so nervous when i actually get in the room to play in front of the judge, it won't even be funny. i've never done ANYTHING like this before. i've never done anything in front of a judge with less than 15 people with me. i'm going to be shaking so badly that i won't even have to worry about vibrato. *breath in, breath out*

   woo hoo!!!
i am the happiest personin the world right now!! it may be for a strange reason, but i don't care! i quit choir yesterday, and it was the smartest thing i've done all year! dont' get me wrong, i love to sing, but i just couldn't stand it anymore. the only bad part about it was that before i could leave the class, i actually had to talk to the teacher about it. see, if it had been any other class, like Geometry or Typing, i would've been fine with it. but i'm scared of the choir instructor. EVERYONE is. even the school councelor told me she would be scared. she was especially angry with me because choir is a full year class. but now i'm happy because i'm in contemporary literature. no more evil choir teacher! YAY!!
