New Year's Accident
Now for my first post of the new year. How is it going? I hope that everyone had fun in the celebrations. For me, not so much. Want to know how last year ended? My Mum fainted from exhaustion and fell down the stairs. Let me warn you, this post is a little long.

I was on the computer at the time. I went to see what it was and saw my Mum on the floor at the bottom of the stairs. It was dark so I couldn't see that well. I put the light on and saw a LOT of blood on her face! Needless to say, I started to panic. I got CuteKilala out of her bed to let her know what happened. She helped clean the blood off Mum's face. From what I had seen, she had a cut between her eyes and the bottom of her right nostril. Including a bump on the forehead and on the left side of the back of her head. She also has a bruise along the knuckles of her right hand.

But those weren't the worst things. The injuries to her head gave her temporary memory loss. She asked me what happened to her. I told her that she fell down the stairs. Then she asked me how many she fell down. I said that she fell down all of them. (Her glasses were near the top) A minute later, she asked me the same questions again. Always sounding surprised every time I told her. I was pretty scary. She asked me and CuteKilala those same questions over a dozen times. She was nodding off all the time too. I had no idea on whether or not she had a concussion, so I was desperately trying to keep her awake.

Me and CuteKilala helped get Mum off the floor, hoping this will keep her awake. Which it did. She was suffering from that memory loss for over an hour. I'm glad she recovered from it, that's for sure. She amazingly got herself to hospital. I wanted to come with her, but she wouldn't let me since I might catch something while I'm in the hospital. Thankfully, my cousin Catriona met her at the hospital so she wasn't let alone.

It would seem she never had a concussion after all. So that must have been a relief to her. The doctor was also surprised that she never broke a single bone in her body. She was also surprised that mum even survived falling down 14 stairs. What can I say except that someone must be watching over her. lol.

I'm glad she's fine after all that. Although she also had a cold at the time so that made her recovery more difficult. She's always complaining about hearing creaking noise every time she breathes. I wonder what could be happening there? I mean she didn't break her nose either...

I have more to say, but I'll leave that until tomorrow. This post is getting a bit long. Sorry for the rather dark post but I'll throw in something happier in my next post. See you all later!
