Welcome to my site archives. 10 posts are listed per page.
Long time no see... I have internet! I can go online in my house! Yay! I've missed myO and theO - and you otaku people ^^
The 30 minute stints in the library were too short... This is more fun! I'm hoping we can get wireless too, then I can sit somewhere comfy, rather than on the floor. Ah, i'll just have to locate some cushions. Yesh.
Ah, tis nearly midnight. Feels like old times again ^^ Early AM otakuing hee hee.
Right, life update - I have a job! Well, it is part time, but it is going well so far. It is in a cafe, I can't remember if I posted about it on myO yet... Anyways, I did a full day today so I am quite tired and I am going to go to bed soon. Exciing things happening tomorrow - but i'll post about that later... Yes. I didn't sleep well last night, so i'm going to curl up in my bed and snooze now.
*hugs internet* hee hee. I hope everyone is well, I feel like I had kinda abandoned myO... Not that that'll be happening now XD And I have some arty-stuff to submit another day too.
Bye for now!
Oooh it is nice and sunny out there (there we go - fulfilled two English stereotypes in two lines XD) hee hee I like sunshiney-ness.
I made lunch today - roast beef with veggies and Yorkshire pudding ^^ *feels accomplished*
Ahahaha... Oh dear, my dads PC just crashed. Well, ok that isn't funny. But what IS funny is that he reminded me of something... The windows Blue Screen of Death! ... Thing is, I know someone who got that tattooed on his arm... And if you type 'windows blue screen of death tattoo' into google image search then looooads of pictures of his arm turn up XD all on different blog sites XD
Have a look XD I know someone with a famous arm...
I really AM babbling aren't I?
I submitted some pokemon fanart ^^ I think the old pokemon are the best.
I hope everyone is well ^^ thanks for the comments *smiles and hands out cake* Comments (0) |

I went to the beach today with my family ^^ Well, actually Dawlish isn't much of a beach, and the sand is more like gritty sandstone... But it IS the sea, and that is always good *smiles* we ate fish and chips on the sea-front, then wandered about with some icecream. Twas fun even though it was practically evening by that point.
New wallpaper is up ^^ Thanks to those who have already commented.
*is lazy and therefore going to copy and paste her theO babble here*
I went with my sister to visit my granny again, she was up and about ^^ we brought her some cakes, that seems to be a tradition now, hee hee. One of the carers made us each a cup of tea – in cups with saucers ^^ very pretty and tea-party-esque! We had a chat about things, I think I babbled on a bit XD but so long as she is smiling then all is good. She did seem a little confused about some things, such as what relation my sister and myself are to her – she often thinks we are her nieces. This time she thought that we had different parents… That was strange. I think it upset my sister a little T_T
On the way out we were saying our goodbyes when one of the other old women there began to look at my shoes. She is lovely, she always says hello, she is really short and I always want to give her a hug because she is just too sweet XD After peering at my feet for a moment she began to say ‘oh look! That’s nice isn’t it?’ Then she began bending over to look – she was nearly toppling over, so I lifted my foot in the air so she could get a better look. She then began making tutting noises, like if you were calling a cat, or dog. Hehe, she began stroking my shoe and saying “there there, that’s nice” as if she was speaking to a cat or something. Twas baffling, but also oddly cute! My granny peered over and said “yes, that’s how they are wearing them these days” and I nearly fell over giggling XD
I have added some more avatars to the clockwork hummingbird world ^^ this time they are Yotsuba themed. Um, they aren’t very decorated, but I thought simple was best for these *smiles and hugs Yotsuba* I think I am going to make some Oreskaband ones next ^^ because they are rather amazing! I think I’ll attempt an Oreskaband wallpaper one day too – probably while I am cut off from t’interwebs in about a weeks time ^^
Taketh care my dears *hugs* i'll try to read your posts ^^
More pictures! I have become a member of Celestial-star ^^ (another graphics/pictures/anime-art-site-thing). Here is a linky-button to the site.
I submitted two avatar things that I made ^^ I don’t know if they have been approved yet though… Ho hum. I expect they are stuck in a queue somewhere in cyber-space… And I have also created a world for my avatars over on theO, I’ll have a go at uploading a few sometime soon ^^
I met one of my friends for lunch yesterday, we had a good natter and pottered around some shops. I didn’t eat much of the salad at lunch (the soup commanded my attention, twas tasty!), so the woman in the shop offered to pack the salad in a box for me to take out, and I agreed because I don’t like wasting food. Hee hee, I felt a little odd wandering about with a box of salad XD ah well. The silly lid started to get loose after a while, so I deposited it in a bin as I didn’t want to get the sauce everywhere. Ick. Made the whole thing rather pointless really *sighs*
I’ve decided my life is slowly turning into Animal Crossing. I don’t know if anyone is familiar with the game, but you start off by turning up in a village with only the clothes you stand up in and you have to progress by running errands for the village’s inhabitants. If you do a good job then you are rewarded with gifts of furniture ^^ Well, at the moment I am planning to move, and two of my friends have offered to give me an item of their furniture (a wardrobe and a chest-of-drawers). Also, in the game there is an emphasis on letter writing, and when I move I think that will become my main means of communication until we get the internet XD Actually, even though I’ll be able to text some people, I think I’ll send them a letter too, because getting a letter in the post is such a nice surprise! It always makes my day ^^
*giggles* It is only a matter of time before I am catching bugs and trying to sell them in order to make money… I mean I have already gone about planting flowers in my town to make it look pretty! (Myself and Craig went and planted lots of pansies by the canal at night – hurrah for guerrilla-gardening!)
Oh, has anyone else had trouble on theO with the comment boxes? *Reads myO comments* – Ah, I see Stixx had some trouble too… I had the notifications that people commented on my wallpaper (thank you!) but when I clicked on the comments the new ones never loaded, it got stuck with one of the previous comments. I’m not sure, but I think it may have something to do with me replying to someone else’s comment… Ah, never mind. Thanks for the comments, even though I can’t read them >_< I’m sure they were nice!
I hope everyone is well and happy ^^ Take care dear things
I hope no-one minded the previous long post XD But I suppose that makes up for my normal lack of posting! Thanks for the comments though ^^ I feel a bit better about moving now, although i'm sure i'll have my traditional last minute 3am packing session the night before I have to leave, haha.
I keep loosing things... *hits head* so absent minded... I still have a few days to get my head sorted though ^^
I have been helping my mum in the garden, I dug up the old tomato plants, moved heaps of soil from the used pots, then gave some other plants a chopping. One of the braver plants decided to fight back *que dramatic music* ... But I fought it bravely and escaped with only a cut on my finger. Meanie!
Other than that i've just done my usual, made more e-cards, helped with a few cleaning jobs, read my book, helped dad take the gardening cuttings down to the tip, nowt interesting really. I had fun playing with the cats though, we have our cat, then the three-legged stray that we sort of adopted. Our cat doesn't like him though, although they don't fight, thank goodness. I think poor tri-pod would come off worse if they did, he can't fight well with only one front paw. He really is the soppyest thing on three legs ^^
I have added a new wallpaper and e-card if you would like a lookie ^^
Thats about it for today methinks, taketh care of thyselves ^^ i'm going to see what else I can find on imeem... Dun dee dum *toddles off*
I can’t believe I have only 14 more days left at home… GAH! Two more weeks… Then I’m off, back up North to Cheshire… I’ve been looking forward to it for a while, but I feel a little apprehensive now… I love being at home, although while I was at university I felt like that was my home. But now when I think about moving away again I feel a little nervous. I’m off into the big wide world and I’m a little unsure of what I should aim to do in it… I’ll start with not giving in!
This time when I move away it is going to be completely new in many ways. I’m moving into a different house with a friend who I know, yet have never lived with before, and I have to find a job… But I suppose I have done this before to an extent, after all I’m moving to a town that I have lived in for the best part of three years (although summers were spent with my family), and I have friends in the area, even though I won’t see them as often. I’m sure that I’ll become closer friends with Melissa, to be honest I am ridiculously grateful she offered this chance to move in with her! I think I just have the pre-move jitters XD *smacks head*
It has been lovely to see my family after so long at university, and I am going to miss them a lot. I feel a little torn between two places, and it isn’t easy to travel between them, as wherever I am it takes hours to travel to visit people who I may not have seen for months at a time. I suppose once I get up there I’ll be busy helping move furniture in (although I don’t know how much we can afford, but we need the basics – beds, wardrobes, a fridge etc) and trying to find some type of employment. I’ll survive. Actually, typing this has made me feel a little better, all I can do now is just pray everything turns out for the best!
My graduation is in November, so my Mum and sister should come and see me then, I’m not sure if my Dad will though, although I’d really like him to. He doesn’t much like travelling *sigh* perhaps if I ask nicely ^^ hee hee. I hope we get the internet sorted in the new house soon-ish, because that is predominantly how I manage to keep in contact with friends and family, and besides, I’ll miss you guys on here! I really am glad I have had the chance to meet you on theO or back on myO and become friends with several of you ^^ You know who you are *smiles* and I just have to say that I very muchly appreciate all the kindness and friendship you have shown me.
I’ll just have to try and look on the bright side. I think I tend to do better if I just get on with something and do it, rather than worrying – I’m a first class worrier, I am! >_<
But I had a good long chat with my Mum today, and she helped me feel better and stronger. I had been worrying about some things for too long and it was good to finally get it off my chest, she helped me see sense ^^ she prayed for me too, and I really feel that helped.
So, the good points of moving ---
I get to see some of my friends again,
I have a new start in many ways (I suppose that isn’t something that happens often in life, so I should make the best of it),
I will try to get back in the habit of going to my old church where I felt more comfortable,
I will be living in a house that I will most likely be staying in for more than 9 months and can therefore make it feel more like a home,
Even if I do get a job that I’m not all that fond of, at least I’ll have free evenings and no more exams… Hopefully!
I get to see Craig again after three months!! *biiiiiiiiiiig smile* hee hee! Yay hugs! Sorry, I’ll calm down for now XD
I’ve added another wallpaper ^^ more to come soon!
My word, this is getting long! I’ll leave you in peace now ^^ taketh care of thyselves!
.: munchkin thoughts – where does the red-brick-road lead to? :.
Back from her adventures... Hello dear things ^^ well, i'm back now. My 'over-the-weekend' trip got extended. I left last friday to go to Centre Parcs with my friend and her family, as her sister was unable to go and they had booked four spaces. It was fun! Centre Parcs is set in Longleat forest, we stayed in a chalet (kinda like a small bungalow) and did lots of cycling. The weather was kinda cloudy, but I preffered that as it meant I didn't get all hot when I was cycling! By Monday we had spent so long cycling about on the bikes that we were getting kinda tired of sitting on the saddles - those things need more padding!
While I was there I got a text from Pam inviting me to stay at her house for a day or two because Helen had come to visit and we haven't all seen each other since the end of Uni, in June! I got home on Monday then had to get up nice and early on tuesday to catch the coach down to Plymouth where I spent the day with Helen before going back to Okehampton and visiting Pam. While in Plymouth we ate cream tea (tea and scones with clotted cream and jam) which is supposed to be a traditional Devonshire thing. Tasty anyways, but my mums scones are MUCH better then the ones from the cafe XD
Then we went up a lighthouse! It was sooo windy at the top, you can walk around the outside of where the lantern would have been. I have some photos, but I haven't had the chance to stick them on photobucket or anywhere.
We had a bit of a problem with getting back, the bus driver told us that his bus didn't go to okehampton - but while we waited half an hour for the next one Pam saw the bus we should have been on drive past her! Arrrgh! Haha. We got there in the end ^_^ then we watched films, ate snacks and had a good chat *smiles* fun fun. I ended up staying over for two nights as the busses aren't all that frequent. Pam had to work during the day, so I went to visit Okehampton castle with Helen. I will have to put some photos of this on sometime as it was pretty ^^ even though it is an old ruin!
As far as otaku stuff goes I have submitted a new wallpaper ^^ and this time it isn't blue!
Dentists I think I may have to have some teeth out... I need to go and visit a dentist sometime before I head off back North again (whenever that happens...) My teeth aren't bad, just overcrowded a little, and I was told in the past that once my wisdom teeth come through I may need to have some removed. Charming XP
I think i'd have to go to hospital to have this done... I think at this rate i'll have to get it done after I move... *sigh* i'd prefer to have it done down where I am now if possible, then my mum can make a fuss of me while i'm being a wimp...
Anyway. Enter Bill Bailey with a short clip on dentists! *grins*

On a happier note today I went to see WALL:E ^_^ It was a fabby film, so cute! It was impressive how much character and emotion they packed into that little robot. I mean he was better than the few human characters, and he barely spoke a word. I absolutely loved it *smiles*
Whoops is that the time? It is flying away again... Eeek!
Thanks for the comments on my wallpapers ^^ (I know I say that a lot, but i'm gonna keep saying it as long as people care to comment on them!) I need to upload a couple more, and some fanart *nods* I've been meaning to do that for a while now.
I helped Dad chop some branches off our tree today, my sister and I were holding ropes to stop the branches from crashing into the ladder - had to make sure Dad didn't fall! Then we chopped and bagged the branches. Good job the tree isn't too big, the branches were only about four inches thick. They are really pretty, many of them have lichen on them ^^ I think it looks nice, but it is fragile stuff, shame we had to throw it away... But i'm sure there is plenty more on the tree ^^ I think we will take the branches to the tip, where they shred garden waste and make compost... Yup. Anyways, the tree does look ok now, not overhanging next-doors garden, and now we have more light in our garden, so I suppose it worked out ok in the end.
Haha, perhaps that is enough talking about trees for now ^^ I made dinner for my family too. It was a bit of a struggle to find something to cook, I was browsing through recipe books, but everything either had nuts in (which my mum is alergic to) or had ingredients that we didn't have. I made a nice cheese and veg bake in the end, twas tasty ^^
