For the last time I am NOT 14!
Hello ^^ thanks for all the comments – I think that is the most I have ever had on here *smiles* it felt like the good old days of myO for a time… So thanks! The past few days have been good, especially due to the amount of sunshine we have had here. Ok, so yesterday morning wasn’t that great, but by the time I had finished work it was beautiful! It made carrying all the cakes more tiring on Thursday though XD it may only be a 20 minute walk but I was so warm after carrying 12 cakes to work!

I worked at the new tea-shop on Friday [it is due to open soon] so I was kept busy cleaning out the store-room and lugging bags and boxes of supplies around the building. All this work may give me some muscles! Although saying that I’m impressed at the small amount of strength I do have… I’m only little and some of those boxes were quite heavy. I couldn’t manage to lift the tomato box off the floor [it weighed 15kg and I was already tired] so I just opened it and lifted the tins out XD I also got to use this nifty vacuum-washer thing. It squirts soap solution on whatever you want to clean [carpets for example] and then sucks it up and *hopefully* takes the dirt with it. I was having fun with that – until lunchtime rolled around and we found there was nothing dry to sit on, haha. Ah well, at least I can’t be blamed for slacking!

Oh yeah, the title of the post refers to what happened when I went to the supermarket. I had a few things to pick up, one of which was some strong glue so I could make my mum a Mothers Day card. I went to pay for everything and the guy on the till wouldn’t sell me the glue as I didn’t have any ID… I’m not sure, but I think you have to be over 16 to buy glue… I am 21… =_= I left it and walked home.

When I got back I fell asleep… I woke up 2 hours later feeling rather groggy and made dinner with my housemate. Then we had a power cut. Or rather the fuse blew. I checked to see if any of the switches had tripped, but none had. At any rate it was a bit of a pain, but I ran about with my candles and things ^^ we all just went to bed early as the repair man wasn’t able to come until the morning.

So now the power is back on I’m just going to make my mum an eCard-style Mothers Day card with Gimp, and email it to my sister who can show it to my mum ^^ I hope you have a wonderful weekend *hugs you all*

Yay-ness!
My theme has changed ^^ yay! I changed it to Amelie, one of my favourite films of all time. I made the wallpaper myself [although I am not completely happy with it...] and it has finally appeared! I think the size was too large when I tried to change it earlier... But I think things are ok now *smiles* I may clear up my profile a little...

Does anyone mind if I PM them with questions? I am tempted to add a post box here... And i'd like to know how to keep the background from scrolling like it currently does. I think it would look much nicer if it stayed in one place! XD

Ummm... I shouldn't be here right now... I have to go on a cake baking marathon! The new tea-shop opens thursday... And they need cakes! So I need to make 6 double layer cakes by Thursday morning... That means 12 individual cakes... I can only fit 4 in my oven at a time... So i'm gonna shove off now XD

TTFN dear things ^^ *hugs*

*cough* Yes I did mean third person in my previous post... As usual I was writing whilst sleepy XD oh dearie me... Haha.

... I have been sitting here for ages thinking of what to have as my new myO theme... And which artist to choose for the contest... I was thinking of making a Plumb wallpaper... But I simply cannot find any graphics to use! If I had a scanner i'd scan the CD booklet, but seeing as I have no access to a scanner I think i'll just have to try something else. Ho hum.

*is having difficulty deciding on a new myO theme* Seriously... I have been sat here for ages! Heh. So I think I'll leave it for tonight. I still haven't got far at all with these requests... T_T

Silly Anna...
Anna got back from work to find half her laptop cable on the floor, tangled up with half of Craig's laptop cable... She assumed Craig had got confused and taken one half of each cable when he went home... She was worried because that means he wouldn't be able to do much work, and she wouldn't be able to check emails or listen to music... She played harvest moon, made cakes for work, then went to bed...

In the morning she was tidying her room and she peered under her chest of drawers... What did she spy? The other half of her laptop cable! >_< She now feels rather daft... She hopes Craig can visit soon so he can take back the half of his cable and be able to do his dissertation... Plus she'd rather like to give him a cuddle ^^

[Not sure why the first person happened there, haha XD just a quick post ^^]

Hello dear things ^^ how are you all?

I've had a busy few days which makes a nice change! Haha. Plus I just made my room all pretty, I found my little tea-light candle holders, so I have lit some candles *smiles* and over the weekend I re-potted my house plants, so they are looking happy. This looks like it could turn out to be quite a long post... Watch out!

Let me see... I'll give you a run-down of my weekend ^^ Friday: I worked from 12-5. That was enjoyable enough, but by the end of the day I had a nasty headache and when I was hoovering and lifting chairs and tables I could feel my head throbbing. Bah. I had fun after work, I went to see some of my friends and just chilled out and ate some food. By the time I had recovered from the headache it was time to return home and bake cakes to sell at work. I had 6 cakes to bake, but as I started late I didn't finish until 1am... Nnnngh... Sleepy.

Saturday: I woke up and went to work to deliver my cakes, then went to the train station to meet Robyn and go to Liverpool. All was going well until we got off the train and decided that rather than using the working escalator [like sensible people] we would use the escalator that wasn't moving - in effect just climbing stairs. Lots of stairs. You just don't realise how far underground you are until you decide to climb a steep staircase to the surface! Heh, but we managed [rather breathlessly] to get out the station where we met Jacqui and left to go to her house and visit the gerbils ^^ One of the gerbils had given birth three days earlier - they were so tiny! Jacqui now has seven gerbils... And more will most likely be on the way soon!

After leaving the gerbils we went to Ness Gardens to have a wander about in the sunshine and admire the snowdrops. I've never seen so many in one place! They were beautiful. But we were hungry and didn't want to buy food in the cafe as it was rather expensive, so we decided to go to the supermarket on the way back and pick up some food to cook when we returned to Robyn's house. We had oatcakes ^^ bacon+cheese first, then strawberries+melted choc *grins* so tasty...

Sunday: Woke up just in time to go to Church with Craig and Melissa. Afterwards I went with Craig to buy some gardening supplies [compost, pots etc] then we re-potted my plants and planted some bulbs. We had planned to plant some sunflower seeds, but ran out of compost. Oh well. Our daffodils are beginning to grow taller ^^

Monday: worked during the day, again it was busy but not exhausting like last tuesday. In the evening myself and Craig went to a house-group run by people in our church, it was just a 'get to know you' session, and it was nice and relaxing as there are only 7 people in our group. I think we are planning to meet every two weeks or so. Tis nice to get to know people in the church, they are a nice bunch of people. I found out that Peter's parents were the first people to open a Chinese restaraunt around where I am currently living.

Tuesday/Today: Worked until 3pm. I've been looking online at possible jobs, but I haven't found something that i'd be interested in yet. At least it'll keep my dad happy to know I am still looking. I also watched a video on the BBC iPlayer about farming, which was very interesting. A module of my A-levels was farming and I've been interested ever since. Craig and I have been Harvest Mooned so well that we want to get chickens one day XD Anyway, this program was looking at alternative farming methods as our current farming practice is just so un-sustainable. Much of it was filmed in Devon which is where I am originally from, so it was also nice to see the scenery ^^ pretty pretty...

And now I am just relaxing ^^ i'm feeling rather sleepy so I may try and catch up with posts etc tomorrow. I haven't been online much these past few days so sorry if I have missed something - and I hope you don't mind this long babble of a post!

*hugs* I luff you all! Take care *waves*

Yipes tis midnight already! o.O Dear me...

How are you lovely lot then? Good I hope *smiles* hehe. Yesterday at work was rather manic. It was just myself and Sarah until 2, and it got really busy. She was cooking while I took orders and made drinks - we had no time to wash anything, and we have been told not to use the dishwasher... So everything was piling up and up... It reminded me of the kitchen in 'The Sword in the Stone' when Arthur/Wort is asked to clean it -- only HE had Merlin to help with a magic spell! See the video below...

We survived though ^^

I had a day off work today so I went into town to meet up with a friend of mine who I lived with in my seccond year of uni. She is leaving at the end of the month T_T We went to a little cafe that also serves Thai food besides the usual breakfasts and toast etc. We both had some oatcakes with cheese and bacon - so tasty! Staffordshire oatcakes are similar to pancakes but they work well as a savory food as well as a sweet. I love them!

After that I bought some plant fertiliser for my bamboo [which had it's birthday on valentines day ^^] because some of the leaves have been looking sorry for themselves. I also bought two CDs with a voucher I was given as a christmas gift ^^

I have been playing around on Gimp too - I submitted a Clannad wallpaper today ^^ I also made one that I haven't submitted yet. I may submit it tomorrow, or later in the week *smiles* but for now I am going to play on Harvest Moon before I go to sleep. Night night folks *hugs*

Birthday cake ^^

Al's cake

There we go, I haven't completely neglected myO today ^^ hehehe. I went to Manchester for a friends birthday - the picture above is of the birthday cake Craig and myself made *smiles* it was chocolate, with some cherries in too, sandwiched together with jam. Yummy!

I made 9 cakes the day before - 6 to sell at work and 3 for this cake here! Madness!

6pm already!
GAK! Time keeps escaping me. Oh well. Thanks for the comments everyone ^^ nice to hear from you all. I hope you have had nice weekends. I've added thumbnails of my latest submissions to the bottom of this post if anyone is interested *smiles*

I woke up late on Sunday - but was just able to get to church before the service started. Well, actually, they were giving the notices, but I snuk in the back quickly, hehe. I managed to get up in 15 mins then rush out the door XD Craig got there before me too - he had thought he'd be late due to trains. I haven't done much interesting. Delivered my cakes to the teashop, played Harvest Moon, then Craig played Harvest Moon (kinda useful there being two spaces to save games ^^). We also cooked a pasta bake for us and my housemate, she was feeling ill so I thought it best to leave her in bed resting, poor thing.

In the evening I went with Craig to our churches bible study, but it was the last one for a while. I think I want to join one of their 'small groups' that meet during the week to socialise and discuss things because it has been fun to meet other people in the church, and i'd like to get to know people better. After that we went back and watched a couple of episodes of Mushishi ^^ i'm so slow at watching things, I first watched Mushishi a year or so ago XD haha, and I'm only at episode 6. To be fair though, it was removed from youtube, and at that time I didn't know where else to watch it. Fun stuff. I like that it is more of a serious anime, and it is also rather pretty.

Asides from playing around on GIMP that is about it. I'm working tomorrow, so that should be good. I'm not sure who I am in with, I'm hoping it is Vicky, because Vicky is lovely ^^ well, to be honest I get on with everyone, but Vicky just feels like everyones mum *smiles*

TTFN folks!

[Edit: is anyone having a hard time loading myO or theO? It could be my internet, but i've had to try and post this about 5 times T_T]

About time for a post
Tis nearly 10pm *sighs* today went so fast! Partly because I woke up late... I was playing Harvest moon till the early hours, haha. It is so much fun though! There is much more of a sense of achievement on this version (Island of Happiness) because you start out with nothing. You have to build your barn, chicken coop etc and to do that you need to chop wood. Lots of wood. Perhaps a little too much wood! On top of that you have to build bridges to access the other areas of the island and meet the characters - who don't move in unless your farm is successful! I'm just starting year 2 and I have only just got a calf (named Moomin). Fun game ^^

My plants in real life aren't faring so well. There is still ice on my daffodil bulbs outside, and my ivy pot-plant blew over in the wind the other day. Craigs tomatoes are looking a little mouldy. They haven't sprouted yet, but they are in a tray in my room (to keep them warm) and I think the warm damp soil is just encouraging the mould. I know we should have waited to plant things until later, but I think they'll be ok. At least the poppies have sprouted ^^ and my cactus is doing well *smiles* I have one plant that is growing XD

I couldn't post on theO the other day, I was going to post about the snow, but I kept getting an error message. I managed to post my list of stuff the next day (I was tagged again) so I think things are working now. I had a bit of a clear out of my subscribed list, but just to remove people who either never communicate with me, or who have been inactive for forever. I think it is a bit daft to be subscribed to people who I don't recognise...

Right, i'm off to make some food and shtuffs. Hugs to all ^^

Righty then
About time for a post methinks ^^ I think i'll just copy this to my world too. I probobly should post earlier really, but I got distracted hehe. Anyhoodle, ta to those who visited and commented. I hope I am keeping up with peoples myO posts. I'm sure i'm failing at doing that on theO *sighs*

Right, lessee, I can't remember when I last posted, so i'll give an update from Wednesday. I worked all day wednesday, I brought in a couple of cakes too, and myself and Vicky iced them. It is so much fun to ice the cakes - unless there is a sudden rush of people and you have to run out and serve people tea while covered in icing-sugar dust hehe.

WHOA! What just happened? I was listening to my playlist on IMMEM and some random voice just said something about subscribing O_O that hasn't happened before... Oddness... Now where was I? Oh right, Wednesday night I made four more cakes after work and watched some TV online with my housemate. Fun fun ^^

On thursday I took the cakes into work, then wandered into town and bought my Mum's birthday present (a book), my sister's birthday present (Fruits Basket fan book - I was so tempted to keep it, but decided to be nice XD), and my housemates very VERY late christmas present (a large pretty tea-cup with saucer ^^). Then I remembered that I was supposed to be meeting Al, so I rushed back home - dropping into Tesco on the way as I hadn't had anything to eat yet and I was STARVING. I got some tasty cheese. Haha.

So, I got home and was in the middle of stuffing my face with a cheese sarnie (sandwich) when Al turns up and says that he doesn't actually need to collect his band stuff, as Paul decided not to drop it off. We only had time for a brief chat before he had to dash off... Sniff. I don't like not seeing people for months on end, because you so often grow apart. I should go visit him... Mmhmm. After Al left I dashed back to work to ask about tax codes and forms from the student loan people, my bosses were very helpful and we had a chat and a cuppa tea while they looked at the forms, so that should be all sorted and now hopefully the student loan company will quit chasing me as they will realise that I am not earning anything CLOSE to what I need to be in order to be eligable to begin paying off the loan... Shame the interest keeps growing >_<

Um, then I made more cakes when I got home *laughs* it never ends! Then today (Friday) I was in work all day. It was quite busy. At one point my boss took over the washing up as I was serving on the till, then when I came back I saw she had finnished it all. I thought "that was speedy" but then when I began to dry things I noticed that they weren't quiiite as clean as they should have been. I know sometimes she thinks I am slower than she is, but at least I clean the dishes... *mumbles*

Sorry, i'll quit grumbling. She is a good boss to have really, and I am hardly perfect myself!! Enough of my mumbling, I've babbled long enough. I have put a link to my latest wallpaper below. Please take a look if you like ^^ I made it as a gift for Sakuracherry *smiles*

Have a splendiferous weekend my dear things, TTFN *hugs*
