Work, work, work...
Hello my lovlies ^^ I thought it was about time I updated this, seeing as I haven't had the chance to do so all week -- so sorry if I haven't read your posts/commented on artwork etc. I've been rather busy at work and I just haven't been online much at all ^^ but that's all good as it means i've actually had stuff to do XD

I should have lots talk about, but i'm a bit too tired to type it all... Haha.

I got paid for my cakes the other day *dances* that was for two months of cake baking *nod-nod* so i'm all set up to pay rent+bills for this month, which is a good feeling. I'm going to be kept busy over the weekend too, what with work, church and the charity shop ^^ but that's fine by me. I like knowing that even if I have to work i'll always have my evenings free. I do NOT miss all my essays etc from uni last year XD I mean, it was interesting but I like having a set time for work, and the rest of my time free, rather than constantly thinking about studying. My housemate handed in her last assignment today, she just has exams now, so that must feel good to be nearly done for the year.

I caught my finger in a bolt today T_T it has swollen up and i've got a lovely purple bruise. Bah. Silly me. The dratted bolt didn't shift the first time I went to close the gate at work, so I gave it a good shove, but slipped and got my finger stuck. Ow...

In other news -- Things i'm looking forward to:
+ Looking after Jacqui's gerbils while she is on holiday.
+ Craig moving house sometime in June ^^ yay! [He'll be living just around the corner from me!]
+ My Yotsuba&! manga book arriving in the post.
+ More GameCube playing XD I got it all set up on Wednesday ^^ i'm going to play Fire Emblem :D
+ Perhaps getting around to entering a wallpaper contest - and finishing that forgotten request...

You don't need me?
Hello my friends!

Pokemon mania has struck me! ^^ I found my old GBA pokemon game XD fun fun...

In other news, I went to work today to discover that they didn't want me in. I was on the rota, I arrived on time, but I was told to go home *sigh* they just weren't busy enough. I wouldn't mind so much, but I asked for extra hours not so long ago... I need to chase my boss up and ask her to pay me for all these cakes too -- she seems to forget these things *sigh*

On a more positive note I handed in my application to the charity shop so I can do some voluntary work there. I'm planning to go there on Sundays, when church has finished. I also dropped into the supermarket on my way home and picked up some little plants and a bag of compost ^^ because plants make me happy, haha. I planted them in the plant-pots I had rescued from being thrown out by a neighbour, and now the garden is beginning to look like a garden *smiles* Or at least it will once they have grown. The seeds I planted earlier in the year are beginning to sprout too!

I have adopted a little black cube! :D Yes, I now own a GameCube! *dances* I wasn't going to get one, but I found a second hand 'Cube for £15 -- with two free games. I also realised that I don't have to buy a TV license [which would have cost me £142!!] if I am only using a TV to play games on... So I bought the console! A friend of my housemate has donated a TV as she can't use it at the moment as she is moving house and doesn't have room.

:D Now I just need my sister to post me my old memory card and perhaps a game I never managed to complete, hehe. The games I got for free were Rayman 3 and Pikmin. I've never tried Pikmin before, and Rayman seems... Rather hyperactive and colourful... An example of this is the minigame you play to travel between places. It game me a headache XD although it was rather fun...



Oh, and my beensprouts have sprouted ^^ good for them haha.

Mmmm, new music is good for the ears ^^ I've been browsing around Imeem today, which has been making the housework more fun XD vacuuming to random Japanese music was a giggle, i'll never be as good as Mrs Doubtfire though, heh.

I got my medal for the wallpaper contest I entered ^^ my Sanctus Real wall didn't win, but congrats to those who did -- so yay for Kelsey *smiles*

I submitted a Skies of Arcadia wallpaper that I made whilst visiting Craig over the weekend. Kwah, I loved that game. My sister told me there was a rumor that a new version was going to be released... But rumors like that have been floating around for years now T_T so I won't get my hopes up just yet.



Asides from thinking too much... What else have I been up to? I am growing my own bean-sprouts from seed ^^ they should have grown to the correct size in another week or so, and then i'm going to put them in a nice stir-fry! Yum! I'm worried my tomato seedlings are in danger of drying out as the propagator lid keeps blowing away in the wind... Pfft!

Oh, I made myself a new avi -- hopefully it'll load soon ^^ I think it looks purdy... Gimp is so much fun. I realised today that I have filled a page of my portfolio with Gimp wallpapers, and everything before that is DogWaffle... I think i'll stick with Gimp now, layers make everything so much simpler =D

Hello everyone ^^ I hope you are all well *hugs*. Again, I seem to be missing peoples posts... Or rather I manage to read a few but don't always have time to comment, so I hope you don't mind. I have been away over the weekend too, so i'll try to catch up a little another day perhaps ^^

I've made a couple of wallpapers, and entered a card into a contest to make Adam a birthday eCard ^^



I used a picture of a cake I baked with Craig *smiles* so this really is a 'home-made' card XD

Now for a bit of an update. Thursday was a bit... A bit of a grotty day to be honest, I just felt down in the dumps. But I went to visit Craig after work on Friday ^^ and I feel better now after spending time with him and his Nan. I made maccaroni cheese for dinner while I was there and Craig's Nan liked it, which was good because it could have been a little awkward if she hadn't liked my efforts at cooking, haha, i'd have felt bad. Craig got some of his essay written too, so that was a positive thing.

We both got up early today to catch the train, it takes about an hour and a half to get back home. When we got to church we saw the daffodils we planted a couple of months back *smiles*

Vergil
Here is my gift for Nicole, her wallpaper of Vergil. I've made two Devil May Cry wallpapers today XD but i'll probobly submit the other another day. I think this turned out alright, seeing as I don't really know much about the game at all. The wallpaper is somewhat uh, flashy though. Haha.



I decided yesterday that i'm going to apply to do some volunteering in a charity shop. I think i'll apply to work Sundays, that way I can go to church in the morning and it'll mean I won't get called into work unexpectedly. I got called into work again today, which I don't mind as I didn't have anything planned - but it would be nice to have a little notice in advance. Apparently I should have recieved a call yesterday, but as far as I am aware I never did. I'm happy for the extra hours though ^^ keeps me out of mischief XD

*twiddles thumbs* I think i'm going to get myself an oat-cake ^^ *skips off*

Oooo-de-lally!
Hello people ^^ sorry I have missed everyones posts on here this past week or so, I just haven't had the time. I managed to be around theO a little, but even there I am sure I missed plenty. Thanks to everyone who has commented on my recent wallpapers ^^ I last submitted my 100th one, so that was a bit of a landmark! Haha. I'm working on Nicole's 'Devil May Cry' wallpaper at the moment... Or I will be once my housemate has finnished borrowing my laptop to use GIMP *smiles* so perhaps i'll have that done by tomorrow evening.

Let me see, what have I been up to. Well, on saturday I was called into work for three hours, it was very busy and I haven't quite got the knack for the coffee machine yet... But my boss told me I did well just before I left, so I can't be screwing up too badly. On Sunday I went to my church then some people we met there came over to visit and have a meal that my housemate cooked. Yum! I worked Monday+Tuesday where I did the finish on my own [I nearly forgot to padlock the door! Haha.]

Aaaaaaaaaand two of my friends who I lived with last year have got engaged! ^^ Which is rather awesome. A crowd of us went to a nearby pub on Monday evening to congratulate them, which was fun. They have very tasty cider there, which was nice because most places just have bottled stuff that tastes... Bleh.

Today [Wednesday] I played on Harvest Moon ^^ Then had to go to the Dentist. I wasn't registered with a dentist here, but it makes more sense than remaining with my old one at home. He was friendly enough, but he said I have to see the hygenist for an appointment -- even though he said I have a "Very healthy mouth". Pfft, I think they just want more money... But at least it isn't as expenisve as private dentists. Ah well. I then toddled off to look at mobile phones... My old Nokia brick is dying... It was going to have it's seventh birthday in July but I decided that it would be a good idea to have a phone I can RELY on. So I bought meself a shiny new Sony Ericson... Thing. It has a camera, which'll be fun, even though it isn't anything too fancy. I'm quite fond of it already, so I'm hoping it'll last as long as my old mobile... *crosses fingers*

Stupid scones...
As I am sure you know by now I make cakes for the tea-shop I work in. I spent my thursday afternoon making 5 double layer cakes, then my boss asked me to make some scones too as she didn't have time. I said that was fine, she gave me the recipe and on friday afternoon after work I got stuck in... To cut a long story short she got the recipe completely wrong, and even though I tried to correct it the scones failed and I am not going to get paid for them as they are not of a high enough quality to sell. I'm rather miffed about that. *sighs*

At least my cakes are good! Hah!

Anyways, rant over. My weekend was fun ^^ I went to visit Craig and his Nan on friday and stayed until Sunday. She is lovely, she is a big softie and it was good to chat to her while Craig got a good 900 words of his dissertation written. I also made a wallpaper [that I will submit soon ^^] then we cooked dinner. I also visited some of Craig's friends and made something rather cool. *tries to find photo* There we go! It is a vinyl record that I melted into a bowl shape ^^ oh, and there is a photo of one of my flowers *smiles*



We caught a train at 8am on Sunday and managed to get back in time for church, then I had a nap after lunch XD

Today [Monday] I worked and also made four more cakes. I found out my boss had an accident with a knife over the weekend and she has lost the tip of one of her fingers. I hope she is ok... Owch. I don't think it is too serious, but still it can't be pleasant...

Of pirates and canals...
Hello dear things ^^ thanks again for the comments. Yes, apparently you have to be over 16 to buy glue over here, and I didn't have any ID. Some customers at work have said that if they had to guess they'd say I am 14 or 15 years old *sighs* ah well.

Saturday night was fun, I went out with my housemate and a couple of friends. We went to a couple of bars etc. It was fun, we had a good laugh. On the way home we decided to walk along the canal and as we passed a barge we saw it was covered in pirate flags. Then the owner of the barge started talking to us and offered to give us a tour! We climbed on and trotted through the boat and decided to stay and chat for a while. It turned out that the guy's nephew was out on his stag night, but had got lost somewhere in town. The three dudes on the boat were a bit tipsy to say the least, but they were friendly enough. So that was a rather unexpected event XD i've always wondered what those barges looked like on the inside. Heh, we didn't get home until after 2am.

Sunday: I managed to drag myself out of bed in time to get to church while my housemate went off to Wales to climb Snowdon, because doing a spot of mountain climbing is the sensible thing to do after a night out and then less than 6 hours sleep! Heh heh. I prefer relaxing on Sundays. As it was mothers day my church decided to give out flowers ^^ yay! In the break between services I helped Craig with making tea and coffee for people, then we decided to stay for the second service too as it tends to be more lively than the first.

I worked all day Monday and today [Tuesday] when I had to do a close-down on my own for the first time. I think it went well, I don't think I missed anything. I was worried i'd mess up the till or something, and that would have been rather cack as the shop phone is broken, so I couldn't have called my boss for help! The second tea-shop is open now, it looks very pretty. I am going to be baking the cakes in there now, rather than baking them at home and bringing them in, which'll work out better for me.

Oh! In more exciting news my friend Jacqui's gerbil has had her seccond batch of babies [I can't remember if I already mentioned that in the last post]. There are four babies, and their older sibling Pandora is being helpful and assisting her mum with looking after them. Sadly the dad had to be put down as he managed to injure his leg I think. Poor thing.
