It's Like America, But South!
Quoted from Up.
… I think this year I had TWO Thanksgiving dinners.
Tuesday night of course was our “official” Thanksgiving, since Robbie (Andrew’s older brother) was home, and Dad for that matter, and we had the sparkling apple cider that night. But then last night (as in Wednesday night, I’m typing this on Thursday) we ate the turkey and stuffing that my dad bought from Costco for Tuesday night! @A@ so I guess that was our second Thanksgiving dinner?
So yesterday/Wednesday, math class was a breeze. Only got maybe two or three problems wrong on the review packet that was due today! And I finished the second one that’s due Monday… except for one pesky problem. Darn you complex numbers and your perpetual ability to confuzzle people. Then after Kya got out of class we went to her house and hung out for a bit – where I knocked out my English paper, working draft and final copy, all in one shot! >D take that! I just hope I can finish that paper for Institute just as quickly… I ALMOST wish that Brother Lewis had given us BYU credit-applicants the assignment for the paper last week. At least then I’d have more than just a week to work on it. And considering BYU is a full-blown University, they’re probably gonna want several pages or a few thousand words at least (even though honestly the only English class in which the instructor has EVER fussed over word count that I’ve ever had was in 9th grade). Later in the evening Mom called and asked if I was going to be home for dinner…
Well, I was home for dinner – and Kya came with me. :P Finally she got to have dinner with us other than that one time when we went to Old Country Buffet.
Today mostly consisted of hanging out with Mom while she did her math homework and I finished up mine – and on that note, other than checking my grade periodically, I am DONE with MyMathLab for this course! Huzzah! Not that I’m not fond of MyMathLab – I love the program. Just I’m glad to be through with the silly thing for now. I also went over to Rae’s house to drop off the tomatoes that Dad bought last Saturday… Mom said they were going bad and she wasn’t going to use them anytime soon – but I knew Rae would. :3
I also finished chapter 3 of my Christmas Carol parody (I’ll upload it here as soon as I have the last three chapters done – hopefully before Christmas)! :D Now I get to write about Fi – I mean the Ghost of Christmas Present! I’m not giving away who it is yet! :P you guys have to wait.
Ren: do they even care?
CCR: actually… considering only maybe two or three of my friends here are Hetalians, and the fic features Hetalia characters, I don’t think they do.
Goku (Saiyuki, obviously. :P ) : O0O HOLY CRAP – CCR, I LOVE YOUR DAD!
CCR: … you figured out he didn’t bring the turkey up with him after all, didn’t you?
Goku: yep! :D I am one happy monkey!
CCR: at least someone is. ^^
Ren: just wonderful. We have to deal with him running around all night now… And on that note, CCR, I forbid you to make that home-made pumpkin pie tomorrow.
CCR: too late, we have to use that boiled pumpkin in the fridge and I’ve extended an invitation to Shana to come over and help.
Only problem is that when I asked my mom to write down her recipe for me… she told me to look it up on the Internet. I asked her about it, and she said that that’s what she always does.
Goku: wait… so… the pie is a LIE?
CCR: no, but the cake is.
Goku: *glances at a cake in the fridge* you mean… that’s… ;A;
CCR: yep. The cake is a lie.
Goku: I don’t believe it! *drops his leftover turkey and hugs the cake* you’re not a lie, right cakie?
Cake: …… *well of course, cakes can’t talk*
Ed: so, I don’t even like upside-down cake (a/n: that’s what kind of cake it is).
Goku: D:< blasphemy! Don’t judge the cake!
Ren: I’m pressing the “add post” button before this gets any further out of hand.
CCR: that might be a good idea.
