Thanksgiving Turkey? Why No Jimmy, This is a Thanksgiving STEAK!
A dang good one at that.

In short, my Thanksgiving dinner was this evening (Dad’s working Thursday so we did it early)… and even though Dad had bought a (pre-cooked) turkey and a whole box of stuffing, instead he made steak, mashed potatoes, and veggies. Not that I mind of course because I am a steak-a-holic. No joke. A good beef steak to me is as pasta is to Italy. And that’s speaking in both Hetalia terms and somewhat real-life.
… Although I do really really like pasta. And Spanish rice. Always have. Okay then, scratch that. Steak is just my all-time favorite land-animal-based meat. Favorite fish is a tie between salmon and tuna, depending on how it’s prepared.

Tuna always does come best in a can though – at least compared to tuna sashimi. Raw salmon isn’t bad though.

I must admit though, my only lament for this year’s Thanksgiving: what happened to the stuffing? And the cranberry sauce? AND THE YAMS/SWEET POTATOES (which by the way I still don’t get the difference between the two)!!! TTATT

Ren: why all the talk about food preferences?

CCR: ‘cause it’s Thanksgiving (even though the rest of Americans aren’t celebrating it for another two days).

Ah well, I’m going to my grandparents’ house for Christmas this year, so surely Nana will make an amazing Christmas dinner that includes those things. … unless we’re just going to Marie Calendar’s for dinner.

Now for what actually happened today!

Ren: though most people probably stopped reading this by now.

CCR: =Y you’re mean (though there’s a good chance it’s true)

So I got up and ran some errands with Mom (she had to do some stuff at the hospital so she could be cleared to go back to work on Friday… which, since she works there would involve going back to the hospital. Weird twist, huh?), then went and took my math test, on which I scored an 87.6 or something… and raised my grade by .6%! Hey, for math when I’m just 4% away from a 90, that’s pretty dang amazing. Mom also filled out the registration form and got her ID, so it’s official! Next semester, WE’RE GOING TO COLLEGE TOGETHER! =D wow… never thought THAT would happen ten years ago.

Then afterwards Dad told us to meet him at Costco… so we did. And were dragged around the store. That’s where he told us he bought the pre-cooked turkey, and I guess the steak we ultimately (and deliciously) ate. We came home, I napped for a bit, then Mom and I did the dishes so Dad could start dinner, and then Mom studied, I tried to go back to sleep again… before either of us knew it, dinner was ready and the day mostly over.

And that just about sums it up. I’m just now hoping that I can get the inspiration/motivation to finish my English paper by the due date… which is next Monday. And I’m really REALLY hoping my prof responds to my e-mail.

Until next time, ja ne~!
